The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
    family.
Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Your love and support help me so much.

I lost my wife in march of this year to Renal Cell cancer. For 3 months I never left her side for a single minute. I slept in a recliner holding her hand for the last 2 months while she was in the hospice bed in the living room. Power lifted her to the toilet and bathed her everyday. Think I slept maybe an hour or 2 every night. Infusions were the worst. I feel ya bud...The PTSD from watching my better half pass before my eyes will never go away. Say the words often and say them loud. I told her I loved her so much she told me to shut up. Remember the pain you feel is directly proportional to the love you have...its going to hurt. My Tracy was my whole identity...I really feel for you bud. May God bless you and your wife. Peace be with you and be strong. This was very hard to watch as it brings so many memories back. I am so sorry and wish you did not have to go through this.

You know I've got to ask for somebody's actually gone through this was this was what your wife was concerned about while she was dying? Because I can't help but feel there's something really wrong going on here. I am truly sorry for what you went through sir. Nobody deserves to go through losing their partner. But I can't help but feel this would be the last thing you were doing knowing you have stage 4 lung cancer which means you have 4 months to live in a 50% survival rate it really don't get no worse than that. Yet instead of worrying about spending time with your family I'm leaving personal videos for your kids for later on you're worried about making videos for strangers you've never met? You don't find that odd? And trust me I am nobody to be pointing fingers at anybody I'm just saying I couldn't help but feel and this is the first time I've run across this channel watching this video at full length. it's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. It's just very very off I've noticed every time I doctor comes in the room instead of explaining what's going on they cut the camera off. Here she is talking about going through the most extensively painful procedure that a person can go through which is a collapsed lung she's talking about singing some song to get through the end? It's just bizarre I don't know I just feel really off about the whole thing if I'm being honest. You know you see these type people on the news to either do it for attention or they do it for the money. And maybe that's got me a little jaded. But I can tell you one thing something's off about this channel. Mark my words on that I guess if she still making 30 40 minute videos for months will know it was a hoax then won't we. I hope I'm wrong I really do. Well actually if I was wrong then she would die and I wouldn't wish that on anybody. So I hope I'm right just so her kids still have her. There really ain't no right answering the situation is there❤. But again I'm sorry for your wife sir I really am

I went through chemo for two years from when I was 16-18, more than 20 years later and I've been in remission since. The memories of going through it all are hazy, triggered mostly by hospital smells (like hand sanitizer during Covid). I swear my mum's experience of watching me go through what I did had far greater an impact years later. I couldn't imagine ever being strong enough to endure the pain of watching either of my daughters the way she had. She left us 5 years ago to rest in the peace she rightfully earned.

I don't think Kyle thinks of himself as a "hero". He's a loving and caring husband and father, and he took his wedding vows seriously. • @MLOCharmer
      @MLOCharmer Рік тому

@nadlerskid being a hero, superhero, or any other word here is a compliment. What you are referring to as a husband is a relational skill. I am talking about a task. He behaves like a husband, however, what he does are examples of action. Besides, not all heros wear capes.

It's hot to be about quality of life and how it affects family or kids. The treatment (my understanding and experience) is worse than getting on with life and having this quality of life and experiences/time. It's heart breaking.

@@pianogirl9676 When it's stage 4 there really is no fight. I think people who refrain from treatment are very much doing that for their kids. The scenes a child is subjected to during a "fight" are hugely traumatic for a child, along with the constant absences during treatments. I have experienced a friend and a relative take a different path and not only was there less pain and discomfort for the "patient" who chose the treatment-free path, but the journey was also more calm and spiritual for all concerned - patient and loves ones. But of course I'm only referring to stage 4. With stages 1 to 3 there is a lot of hope for remission so it is definitely worth fighting.

I’m busker in the United States. Recently, I was diagnosed with terminal cancer in January 2023 but I had a greatest miracle in my life. All tumor was gone completely in 20days by the grace of God. I feel like having a second life. I‘m trying to encourage and pray for cancer patients and families who are suffering and pain by difficult circumstances. God is alive and do not afraid of cancer. We will get the miracle in Christ. I will pray for you!

My heart goes out to you both, and your family and friend. This is such a difficult time. I went through in 2020 and 2021 with my 36 years old daughter who had stage 4 uterine cancer that metastasized to her liver. Needless to say, she is with Jesus now in Heaven. Jesus was with us during every step, and His love endures forever. While my daughter’s healing was given to her in Heaven, I pray for divine intervention in this situation and that the Lord lays his healing hands on Jenny. Kyle, you’re support and calmness during all this is awesome.

How can you still believe in God after what you dealt with and all that’s in the world? I’m not being a jerk. I legitimately don’t see how someone can maintain faith and think watching a loved one die painfully was Gods plan.

@@Youre_Right I doubt I can answer your question for you - it's a very personal one that we each need to wrestle with in the context of our own experiences. The thoughts I'll offer here are just what has helped me, not a glib attempt to explain away your question. In case someone is wondering, my perspective is from Catholic Christianity.
Suffering, evil, and sin in our lives or in the world are not God's plan for us. In Genesis, God created everything good, except for humans, who were "very good." God desires only good for us, the greatest of these goods being that we enter into a free relationship of love with him, both in this world and in eternity. A necessary component of this free relationship is free will on our part, so that we could choose to love God (love that is forced is not love). Necessarily, for us to be able to freely choose to love God, we must also be able to choose not to love or serve God - cue the story of Adam and Eve, and the resultant entry of suffering, evil, and sin into the world and the lives of every person thereafter.
Why doesn't God just take our suffering from us? I can't say for sure. Conquering it like that would be a tremendous display of his power. But I think, perhaps, that what he did do (and does do) is an even greater display of his power, and results in an even more complete victory over evil. Rather than just remove all evil, God chose to send Jesus his Son into our world, into our suffering, into the suffering and evil we experience, and bring good out of them, thus utterly defeating evil and suffering. He could have dealt with our mess any other way; he didn't have to do it through Jesus' death on the cross - but he chose to, in order to show us how much he's willing to do for us, and to show us that he hasn't abandoned us to the suffering and evil we experience.
Assuming the existence of an all-good God, the greatest evil and injustice possible is that his creatures should murder his incarnate Son. This happened; and out of this greatest evil, God brought the greatest good - our forgiveness and the possibility of eternal salvation. I have come to trust that if God can bring good out of so great an evil as Jesus' cross, then he can and will also bring good out of the suffering and evil I experience in my life. I also believe that this life does not end with death; God made us for more than this. And as St. Paul writes to the Romans, "the sufferings of this present world cannot compare to the glory to be revealed to us" in eternal life. Eternal joy and peace in heaven is God's plan and hope for us - not the evils we experience on earth.
Finally, I think that sometimes, when we lose what we love in this life, we come to realize more and more that we are left only with God, and that he is enough, because every other good thing in our lives comes from and exists through him, with him, and in him. That said, heaven will not be a solitary, lonely experience of unity with God; it will be an eternal state of rejoicing alongside all the people and angels in heaven, experiencing the complete fulfillment of knowing our Creator face to face, seeing him as he truly is.
All that said, the pain that I experience when seeing a loved one suffering or dying doesn't necessarily go away. I offer this suffering to God in union with Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. But my faith does give me hope that one day, we will each be able to see the value of the sufferings we have laid before God, and the good God has brought out of them.
Again, I don't pretend that I have explained away your question. It's a legitimate thing to ask, and I think that the way we come to know God in spite of suffering and evil differs for each person. I also think it's a question that is never answered in one single moment. Coming to know God is a lifelong journey.
I wrote more than I was planning to - hopefully some of it is useful to someone. It was good for me to write it out, at least.

Watching this, I reflect on my years of caregiving (three family members). It’s a profound experience and the hardest part for a caregiver is right after the death of a loved one. Everything just stops in your world. All the running, worrying, uncertainty about “tomorrow” is gone. It’s just over and yet you’re still in that mental mode and you’re like a fish out of water. All you feel is an enormous hole in your heart, a part of yourself has disappeared into thin air. It’s not over for Kyle. I hope he finds his support group helpful and can slowly unwind. He’s been running a marathon. I say a prayer for him, God Bless this man. He’s so special.
