    Great instructional video. I have a 2008 E 350 with a squeaky HVAC blower. Took it out, greased the bearings, put it back in. No squeaks. Work took a little longer as it was my first time but it was as shown in the video. Saved me over $600 for a dealer-replaced job.

    Where is the fuse for the blower motor?
    My climate control lights and all the buttons work but no cold or hot air comes out when you push the buttons, the windshield defroster does not work, no air but the rear defroster works when you push the button, by that I figured the buttons/control panel is good. So, does anyone have any idea what is going on??
    Should I just change the blower?
    Or maybe is it a fuse to the blower?
    This happens after I jump start my battery.
    I'm thankful for any help🙏

    Hello there, I'm having some issues with this matters. Now, I don't know exactly what is not working if it's the blower motor or the resistors, something that I would need to check with the technician mechanic first. My question to you since you used FCP EURO parts, are they good quality parts for my e350 3010 mercedes and what price range am I'm looking at and if it's necessary to replace all parts even though if it's only one part with the problem, let's say the blower motor? I appreciate the response thank you.

    Why are there no carbon filters on the left?

    • @tskichannel2302
      @tskichannel2302 2 роки тому

      The under dash carbon filters were an option so many - perhaps most - US spec W211s and S211s don’t have them. The cabin filter is under the hood right next to the firewall. For models with the Aux battery, it is right over the Aux battery.

    This guy is obviously selling new motors!
    90% of blower motors will eventually start squeaking because the bearings are starting to dry out. If you are going to the trouble of taking it out, just put a little lubricating oil on the two bearings (after giving it a good clean, preferably with an airline) and the motor is good for another 100K miles!

    Hello. Would this procedure be the same on a 2012 C300 W204? The blower fan has started to chirp when the heat is on and the fan is set to lower speeds. I've changed out the cabin air filter before and it generally looks to be the same on mine as the E Class.

      Since it is a different chassis, there are differences, however, it is a similar process on both vehicles.

      Hi Moshe, the GLK being an SUV would be different. However, it might be a similar process.

    A while back, I had a mouse or something build a nest or whatever and it clogged up the blower with a bunch of debris. Made the fan noticeably loud. Mercedes cleaned it for free as part of an oil change, but said I'd have to pay the next time. Now the same thing is happening again. If anyone knows how I can clean the debris out simply, I'd appreciate it. I can remove the cabin filter on my own, but can't figure out how to access the blower. No UA-cam video on it for my vehicle. 2018 GLA AMG 45. There is an airbag or 2 in that general area, so I'm concerned about messing around and causing damage.

    Great video. Thanks. Also thanks for the great price on the kit you sell. The parts in your kit are the exact, OE, Behr parts ands big savings over those with the 3 pointed star. A few points in just having done this. 1) Yes, you could do this in 35 minutes, but you would have to be a lot more flexible than me to do it that fast. To get my old ass on the floor and craning my neck under the dash it is goes more slowly. If you are young and flexible like the presenter, then 35 minutes is quite accurate. But… 2) If you are doing your own car, you are going to care to clean out the 15+ years of dust and dirt accumulated under the kick panel. I took time to vacuum and wiper the surfaces under there. And, 3) you will probably find, like I did, that the old blower has spread greasy metal dust all over the bottom cover of the blower. I took time to wash it with soapy water and dry it. 4) To reach the back screws I used a flexible bit extension instead of a ratchet and handle and it worked fine. If using an electric driver set the torque to the lowest setting so you don’t strip the holes. I then go back and gently check them by hand and tighten slightly if needed.
    Thanks again FCP.
