That Cowboy Mustang II is stunning! Maybe the prettiest of all IIs. Not nearly enough love for these red-headed stepchildren... I did a rebuild on a '71 Grande with the 429 Super Cobra Jet Drag Pack option. Original 429 was converted to 460. The guy had earlier replaced the 3.91:1 gearset with 3.00s. It was FAST! His brother and he took a trip south from the Boise area to Las Vegas and timed mile post for 12 miles, averaging 23 seconds per mile. That's 156 mph, for those who care about such things!
That truck stang was built by a guy who owned a mustang salvage yard in Ipswich, Ma during the 1990s. I remember going there in my teens and twenties to buy parts and would see it there in awe 🤩
Hot Rod dyno'd the Boss 302 and 351 motors together a few years ago, with them being as close to bone stock motors as humanly possible. Since they used similar induction systems, the 351 only made 8-10 more peak horsepower, but wow, it had something like 80lbs more peak torque than the 302. And both of them were in the 373-383 horsepower range on the engine dyno, a far cry from the 290 and 330 factory ratings. Talk about underrated engines lol
The Big Block 94’ BOSS mustang with I believe was a 604 cubic inch engine is at the Roush Racing Museum in Concord. It’s about 5 miles from the mustang museum.
I love this place, it’s the Mustang guy’s paradise/candy store. So cool, so awesome worth the trip. I have no affiliation with this place except for the fact that I’m an enthusiast, please donate we need to keep it alive.
As someone commented...that Monroe car ain't a Kar Kraft product like the Boss 429s and later Shelbys they built. Each Boss has an individual "KK" number like the one affixed to the door of my black '69 ....KK19xx for example.
94-97 S351 NA are rated 371hp. 94-99 S351 supercharged varied from 480-510hp. Iirc the SA30 color was called Tire Smoke White 84-86 Saleen’s I’m pretty sure kept the factory interior except the steering wheel and shift knob. 87-91 got FloFit seats (87-89 got MoMo steering wheels) 92-97 Recaro LX seats 98-03 could option Recaro Trend (S351s got Recaros standard, 02 Extremes were also standard). The second “black GT”of the video I think is a Kenny Brown Mustang. It’s either an Outlaw or Super GT.
I remember reading about that special mustang fox body. It was in one of my cousins hot rodder magazines. They were cool magazines esp the cartoons at the back, from woodies to vickys. The stripes, on the roof actually widen over the middle of the roof and then shrink back to normal size on the boot/trunk. You can find the actual document for the width of the stripes on piniterest. The Terlingua club, was a mens drinking and chilli club set up at his texas ranch.
I had a 1998 Jack Roush stage 3 with a Vortech Supercharger it put down stock motor with bolt ons but it put down 306 to wheels and like 315 foot pounds of torque I had it dynoed at turbo Technologies
my dream is too make a truckstang just like that foxbody but more modern. What do you think would be the best mustang to do that with or even what would you like to see become a truckstang?
about the fox ranchero, or whatever he called it, one thing he needs to know since he is supposed to be a mustang specialist, the Ford Falcon XR6 “ute” was a fox body pickup or ranchero or ?, built for several years. and there was a coach company that built the pickup and a 2dr wagon for ford dealers back in the 90s, i have pictures of them and the name of the company in my document file, too much trouble to find at the moment. you could actually have the dealer order this for you, any doubters out there think of this, cadillac in 1974 offered the same thing from coach company, a truck or station wagon from the dealer. all the way back in the 50s there were conversions, not one off customs, but dealer conversions, a company called studillac sold new studebakers with a cadillac engine as a new car, one company in 49 or 50, or both, offerd the fordillac , a new ford with a new cadillac engine and full new car warranty. just because someone calls himself and expert doesn't make him one. he for sure should have known about the conversions for the pickup.
The infamous Truck-Stang...I seen that on another channel...not my favorite. A lot of other nice Stangs in there tho..👍 I like the story about blowing out that rear end😂
Awesome story on the final car, the Mystic Cobra! I could imagine the look on Campy's face when learning you grenaded the rearend! I was a 25 year subscriber to MM&FFs('93-'18) but the last 6-7 years have been disappointing to me so I stopped subscribing. I miss the days of ReVan Evan & Campy.....
I feel sad that you didnt know what the predators were... especially being a foxbody guy, The predators and dominators were the bad ass cars before the saleen, they were the racing mustangs
Don't mean to piss in anybody's cereal BUT have no use for the foxbody models. Was delighted in 1994 when they changed styling. Currently own 1965, 2007 and 2014 models. Also owned a 1966 and a 1973 Mach I in past. Ford did great on the 2007 body! Front looks like 1967 and rear looks like a 1969. Also love 1969 AMC AMX but probably will never buy one. NO room to park any more cars. Might, in time, buy a 1969 Mach I model. Wife will kill me probably. Ha. Ha. Ha.
I can top that. I openly hate on the C-8 "Vette and the fact that it is ugly and underpowered. Not everyone can love every version of a Mustang. A lot of people always give a hard time to the Pinto based Mustang twos from the Seventies even though it was responsible for keeping the Mustang badge alive long enough to have a Fox-body version of the car.
@@beauxguidry5373 And the fox body was the Generation that put the MUSTANG model back on the road and kept it sporty again! There's no need to hate on the fox body Mustang.
I’m not sure why you feel the need to shit on mustang IIs so much. They’re actually fun cars, it’s only people like you that care about horsepower numbers on cars from the late 70’s

It seems like the 71-73 mustangs get overlooked. The Boss 351 was one of the best all around performance Fords back in the day.

My 88 gt 5 speed got it me in plenty of trouble even with a 2:73 crappy rear end gear
As I get older, those mustang IIs as starting to grow on me. That Mach 1 looks gorgeous.
I will count this as my second visit 👍cant wait to see the next round of cars
I owned a 1973 Grande coup Mustang and was hoping to see one here - Love the video and keep them coming, Thank You
I'm gonna check on more of rhis place..so I can check out those odd ball mustangs..they truck and the green machine.

Fantastic video........there's a man who knows his Mustang trivia!

Nice work as always!
The seats in the 88 Saleens are Flowfit to my knowledge.
Lol they all chase Recaro though.
Great video!
Comp orange cobra really gets me love it. But I'm a fox guy through and through sooooo. Idk

At 11:53 the previous owner did an awesome job in making a modern Fox body version of The ranchero

Supposedly the lastfox body is at the collection in Ocala
I wonder what ever happened to the Car Craft Magazine's 200mph Cobra.
Kar Kraft did the BOSS 9 cars.
Great Video Evan!
My 64.5 Mustang was just like that. Poppy Red, 260 V8
Cool video as usual!
Very cool

Any updates on the 7.3 gasser?
Awesome ,Just subscribed!!!
my dream is too make a truckstang just like that foxbody but more modern. What do you think would be the best mustang to do that with or even what would you like to see become a truckstang?
In Australia they call that a Ute !

the 2.3 cobra is pretty cool
There were Mustangs "truckstangs" built on the early '60s Mustangs!
Didn't 5.0 magazine have a white fox that went 200 in the Texas Mile?
The infamous Truck-Stang...I seen that on another channel...not my favorite.
A lot of other nice Stangs in there tho..👍 I like the story about blowing out that rear end😂
I wish I knew that was there when I was working at Charlotte motor speedway
Where's an 1984 1/2 Mustang GT 350? They came either with a 5.0 or turbo I-4 from a SVO. Triple
Where on earth would I get a 04 mustang model?
Love the way he said 03 / 04 Cobra. Never heard the 3 pronounced that way. He has to be from the North.
Anyone know what wheels the first black foxbody hatch had ?
4:20, Barnfind.
12:00
I'd call that truck stang the M-150
to me some of these cars weren't built to be sitting in a museum...hoping these aren't there for too long
If anyone knows where to buy a Maisto Fox Body die-cast, please let me know.
No love for the green mustang with lambo doors..😂😂😂
We just wgnore ir
For real!
I wanted to know more about it!
A shame he ignored it...

People please stop saying 641/2. No such thing. 65/66. That’s it.

I couldn't even look at that Bullitt with those ugly modern rims. Vintage iron need deep dish rims
