My only real issue with the new Civic is the turbo not being available on the Sport model, at least on the hatchback. A trim like "Sport" should have more power, and it's the best looking one, plus I don't want a sunroof. I liked that the previous model hatchbacks had turbos on all trims, emphasizing the hatchbacks as the more Sport option.
@@mrsimpleesarcastik3494 The 1.5L turbo in the 2022 Civics is the same as the last generation and those have been extremely reliable. The worst thing I have seen anyone say about them is that they're susceptible to rodent damage. The 2.0L engine in this car is so boring that the few added parts and potential maintenance costs are kind of worth it.

it's such a convenience to have wireless carplay - you leave the phone in your pocket and BAM! connected! i thought i wouldn't like this feature as much as i do but i bought a new S4 during the spring and now i couldn't go back, it's that great.
I agree it's a good feature, but not necessary for me if I'm pricing out a Civic. It *is* something I'd want to see in premium and luxury vehicles though for sure.
I think the na engine in the long run if you're planning on keeping the car for a long time is the best option and really wish they offered it on they ex model. Just personal preference.
@@cool7654321 he’s probably saying the non turbo engine will last longer with less risk of having issues down the line tbh I did hear something about oil dilution or something in that particular engine
@@y.s8915 I forgot I posted this comment a year ago. So I ended buying a 2022 Ridgeline AWD and my wife got a Pilot. We both went with the 3 year lease for now and in 10 months no issues whatsoever. I honestly didn't know the EX came with na engine. I was looking at the Accord but finally decided for the Ridgeline since there's a lot of mountain bike trails here in North GA and a truck just make everything easy.
They finally got the hatchbacks out now, but the only problem is that I can't find any LX model hatchback anywhere. I don't want a sport trim as it's too expensive, since the hatchback already adds $1000 to the cost. Good thing is that I'm fine waiting a few months to buy one.
I believe the oil dilution was solve sometime during the last gen production. From everything I could find on the issue. I felt confident enough to buy one.

Sorry for the question, is EX-L a trim? I don’t see a lot of people mentioning it but it comes up as a search option & I’m not really familiar with it.
I asked the same question. The dealer said its because its a touring model and these are more high end looking. I'd much rather have the black rims. Wish they gave the option for which rim you'd prefer.
Not a fan of 1.5 liter turbo it’s a small engine that regardless of build quality isn’t going to take much punishment lol tbh everyone is gonna drive it hard so yea, I think 2.0 is the sweet spot for a turbo like the type r for example or even the accord 2.0t ……so I went with the sport and possibly turbo it myself down the line lol

stay away from all turbos unless you like headaches

Go for the 2.0 non-turbo and you’ll appreciate it if you plan on keeping it beyond 3 years.
$24,700 EX? It’s now $26,950 without destination! That’s a $2,250 increase in two years! Wtf?

Agree in regard to lack of interior color choices. At least offer grey as a second option with all the colors.
Right !
Only reason im getting touring is because leather seats, wireless charging, and rims on EX are horrendous
there actually pretty nice lmao

When you see the L added to a Honda trim, it typically means Leather. So the EX-L would be the EX-level trim with a leather interior.
What about the EX-B trim? How different is it from the EX trim? Any idea on this?
This is for the 2023 model btw
Excellent
Only interested in Touring. In Black.
Only $5,000 more than last year with same engine
That EX engine they had problems with it, the oil and gas was mixing I go with the 2.0 it's reliable and they used it for years and years

No
sure does
You can use non premium but you really won’t get much out of the turbo unless you use premium
