It does lol
Losing sleep over the price lowers the IQ level...lol 🤣😁🤣😁
It's a joke lmao
Lol
🤣🤣😫
I am really liking the minimalist styling compared to the last gen. Especially that interior, it just looks sooo much better. If I were in the market for a small sedan this would be on my short list.
small sedan 🤦♂️
I love how minimalistic the interior looks, specially compared to all the features its actually packing. Great vehicle
One of the best car reviewers has struck again today!! Wonderful job Joe as always!
💯🎯
I love it, it’s honestly beautifully done! I also really enjoy your videos; they’re so easy to digest and really fun to watch. Thank you!
We need more POV driving like this one in all videos please, it's way much more better
Definitely worth the wait from the preview video! It has a CVT you could almost deal with.... I'm really liking this Civic. Thanks for all the behind the lens, and behind the scenes work, Lori!
I really like this refreshed 2022 Civic . Honda's have always made a solid product .
Damn that looks mega nice! Good job on the review, Raiti.
Continued great work on reviews. Looking forward to your take of the Type R. I personally love the drive train of the CTR but just couldn't get past the styling. Well, the mark up too. Unfortunately the mark up will be revived for the 11th gen.
I owned the previous gen hatchback, and the interior on this is a HUGE step up. Looks so premium
Would you say the same about the exterior? Hmm
@@Dolomite1 yes, the exterior is so much better
Bro I’m new to the channel and your now one of my favorite review channels! Love how you explain things with enthusiasm and making it entertaining. Keep it up!
I love joe and Lori’s videos. Best car reviews here.
this civic looks so much better than the last design. cant wait for the hatchback review so i can decide which one i get next fall. you're really the best at reviewing cars. thank you for your great work!
I am so glad that you are digging this one Roxanne. Honda did a good job!
Joe, i think the hood prop rod is fine. I am more pleased they are offering a total of 5 wheel designs throughout the line-up.
That is a great point!
Great review and excellent videography, as always!
Bro love your videos. Love how you have this new POV camera as well. You should film all your videos like this when driving!
Love it man looks fantastic
The Civic is starting to look more like an Accord that the Accord.
I know right lol I love civics but between 2006 - 2015 I hated their designs
True
Loved 2016 design!
The 2014 looks so good
Currently owning a 2012 civic. The new 2022 model is again the best in its class. The vehicle in silver colour definitely shows off the exterior design features. Great job Lori for the camera shots. Can’t wait for the civic Si.
I am so glad that you like this one.
I have the 2013 EX. Has some places to store some granola bars.
My first Honda was a Civic 95 Hatch. I love Civics. This made me wanna buy a Civic again. 😩
Very cool! Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Honda’s are great for the price can’t beat those prices for the quality of car
Been hit or miss with reliability though. 16' through 18' maybe 19' stay away from. Class action law suit. 2020 to 21 better from what I hear.
@@DS..69 The issue was the oil dilution issue with the new 1.5L Turbo. First time Honda put a turbo in a car and got it slightly wrong. They fixed the issue in the later models. Other than that, overall reliability has been just fine, even with the oil dilution issue, the Civic won't leave you stranded.
@@eksentrysyti Over all yeah. But the years I mentioned AC compressors will. It would sukk if you live were its hot and it just went out on you. Lol
elantra, forte, sentra, and corolla are better cars and less expensive. plus, those dealers don't act like they are selling rolls royce, unlike honda dealers who are the worst at fleecing the honda cult sheeple
@@jrs9264 I couldn’t understand the last part of your paragraph
Kudos to Honda for making possibly the best car of the year in its category
I have been searching the new civic video on youtube , and now here you go
Such a good looking car!! Looks more sophisticated than the prev gen. Can’t wait to see the other Civic models!
I am so glad that you like this one.
Look's like a good deal for under $30k but I don't know if I would like the cvt. Nice review and camera work as always Raiti's!!!
Thanks for the heads up on this new civic car looks great can't wait for the SI manual
So am I!
A lot of people feel like the 10th gen was the peak of styling for the Civic, being so bold, but also felt the Type-R was too loud.
I think this 11th gen gives that classic Honda look for the more casual models that will stand the test of time. But also has a lot of the right lines to provide a great basis for a sportier look on the Sport sedan, Sport hatch, Si, and Type-R.
(I also just like how the 11th gen Civic homages the 4th gen prelude front facia.)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and input on this one.
Great review Joe! I love the Honda Accord and Honda Civic it’s looking good I’m glad they are doing the 6speed hatchback I just wish they would get rid of the CVT transmission I don’t mind spreading the extra money for a different speed transmission that be great 👍🏻😁. I know the competition has CVTs get rid of it. Amazing job Lori with the camera work keep it up 📹❤️!!!
CVT offers better fuel economy. it simulates gear changes so you will be happy with it.
Just saw a sport version today. Man looks nice! Looks JDM, which is a good thing
looks AMAZING!! This is what Civic should look like... love it
600k subs! Good for you brother! I've watched your reviews over the years and was subbed to you on another account when you were around 50k subs. I'd love to see this civic with a 6 speed and the turbo engine. Preferably tuned to around 240hp/270tq 😏 great review!
Loved the car and loved the way you do reviews 👌🏻♥️
Nicely done Honda and a great job as usual Joe!! One thing I'm not sure is the honeycomb dash. How are you suppose to clean all the dirt and dust that will accumulate behind it particularly the blades in the air vents??!! A tasteful solid piece instead would have been much nicer I think.
I guess Honda was going for a uniform thing instead of individual vents. And as an owner of one, it hasn’t been that much of a problem.
Nice new crisp design.
I am on my third Civic now and was really looking forward to seeing this car.
The only disappointment is that darn CVT. Maybe I will wait for the hatchback or the SI.
What does cvt mean exactly? I’m not a car guy at all lol, thanks
Hello. I enjoy your channel. I just bought a 22 Honda Civic Sport. It is a very sweet ride. I didn't want an SUV. Cars like this are a dying breed, but glad Honda invested in a great 11th generation. I traded a 2012 Ford Focus SEL hatchback. I loved that too despite the transmission quirks.
Great review, I will be looking at purchasing one.
As expected, another great review and nice follow on to part one.
IMHO the new gen Civic is car of the year worthy. Nice touches throughout and will solidify Honda’s #1 standing in this class.
While I think the Touring model is a bit pricy, I feel the LX and Sport versions will do very well.
Thanks once again for a great review and, as always, a big shout out and a tip of the 🎩 to Lori!
Love the interior , I hope this is the overall look at what the upcoming accord will look like interior wise
When is the new redesign accord coming?
@@tracer073 I could be wrong but I believe the 2023 model . I don’t think they will for the 2022 since they just refreshed it .. so right when I have to trade my lease in 👍🏻
Pedal to the metal on US 19 in Clearwater! Love it! So much for your now disclosed location!!
Love the color combo on this model. Nicely done.
By far the funniest automotive journalist. (On youtube)
Thanks Ray for saying that! I really appreciate your support!
Great video, and yes, great camera work as always by your significant other, Lori.
This is an incredible car and great upgrade and update from an aready good one. I never looked at the Touring, except for the Sport Touring Hatchback, because a touring had the bells & whistles, but often lacked the sport appearamce and performance gear like the wheels and suspension until now, except it is more matured and refined that the Sport.
The Sport is great still at $25K, as the Touring is at $30K and has all the essentials as I always stated and a more affordable price with with the functionality and less potential reliability problems of certain features like tge subroof and power seats, etc. But then again, Hondas and Toyotas don't have that problem as much as sone of tge otger brands with durability abd wuality control.
The Sport looks racy and perfect for the enthusiast and tuner, if they are not waiting for the Si, especially with the HPD appearance package with the blackout emblems.
I initially wanted a Sport, but the Touring is still sporty with the same size wheels/tires and suspension in a more tone down, matured, and subdued package, with all the niceties like the leather seats, sound system and high tech instrument panel and interior apointments, much like the other premium sport/luxury sedans often costing a lot more.
Other than the uber fancy features the real expensuve cars have, the only real significant thing the Touring lacks I can think of is the heated/ventilated seats.
Other than that, the minir zonks of no rear center consolevA/C vents, driver's seat rear map pocket and the aluminum sport pedals that should be included with the Touring.
The performance and horsepower output is fine and sufficient, and is on par to my 1984 Buick GN that had a much bigger 3.8L turbo V6 with 20 more horsepower and a lot less reliability, durability and longevity.
I would prefer the non turbo 2.0L N/A engine from the Sport, but the touring should have more power, and I would not be thrashing or abusing it, and woukd be making sure it is properly maintained with premium oil changes and such.
Ideally, the Touring should have had the detuned 2.0L detuned Type R motor from the Accord Sport/Touring, but I know that would add costs, but then, it should be put in the Si, if only a limited edition/extra cost special order some dealerships could make a few available.
To me, the Sport/Touring is almost a perfect sport sedan as I described for their price points, as daily drivers.
At times, not being able to get something, or putting it off until later pays off with something much better. This is one of them.
If I can get the Touring, it's definitely the best out there to me, with the Sport a great concession sans the added features. The present Corolla SE/XSE pales in comparison, and the others are not even considerations for me due to build quality, longevity, durability and reliability, plus as stylish and fancy as tgey are, they don't apoeal to me.
Otherwuse, I like almost everything about the design and exterior/interior styling if the new Civic. The hoid prop rod is fibe with me, and one less thing to deal with if the hydraulic struts start failing, need replacement, and need a prop rod as a temporary fix that may be a danger. I don't know if the quality and longrvity of thise struts have improved over the years, but I have had my share of problems with hood and trunk struts giving out in previous vehicles. I welcom hood prop rods and manual trunk hinge mechanisms no matter what the price of the car.
Also, I love the colors Honda has. The Meteorite Grey Metallic is nice as is the previously available Aegean Blue Metallic and Sonic Grey Pearl. The final choice decision may rely on what is available at the time.
When I first saw concept images of this 11th generation Civic, I was not too impressed, if at all. The final product is nicer and better than I could imagine. I am curious hot the Si and Type R will turn out, particularly the Si, which I seriously believe should have the detuned 2.0L Turbo.
Not I want to see a review of the Sport.
Great videos. I'm really looking forward to your 2022 GTI review.
Always the best funny and informative as always good job sir.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Would've been nice to showcase the new bose sound!, I know you don't usually showcase sound but honda really needed that sound upgrade. nonetheless awesome video as always :)
Go to TheTopher yt channel he shows the bose system
8:13 I don't care who you are, that was funny right there! Thanks Joe for making a Civic fun to drive.
I watch your reviews before the others.. love the content 👌
Got a 2023 civic touring recently. The more I drive it the more in love with it I fall.
It looks great, I'll be happy to see these on the street soon. I'm definitely glad I got my 2020 Si Coupe before they discontinued them though, still my absolute favorite Civic!
Last gen looks better for me, specially it's bow tail light and cleaner dashboard.
@@TheTreb68 fee like the 10th gen was ugly as sin. This one has one of the cleanest dashboards I’ve ever seen and it looks premium
Agree! I still haven't gotten over the Accord Coupe death. 😞
Overall the interior is ok except the tablet like layout on the dashboard. What I don't like is the exterior layout. I like the sporty look of previous civic, this now became like a regular sedan that's a little bit looks like Accord. If I want this look, I will just buy Accord.
@@TheTreb68 but the accord gets worse gas mileage. I don’t want a sports car I want a commuter car with up to date tech. So I bought this one :P they had me drive a 2021 accord and I didn’t like it as much.
It’s good to see the civic still has the regular shifter. My accord came with the button gear selector and I honestly hate it.
AGREED!
Why do you hate it?
@@brixan... cuz its ugly and very inconvenient when rushing switching gears during unexpected events.
@@roan2512 it's only Drive, Neutral, Reverse, and Park. You wouldn't switch between those during "unexpected events"
@@roan2512 Agree! Don't want to have to double check if its the correct stupid mode with the button or not.
Great review my dudeee
This car is beautiful!! Plus you gotta love this guys enthusiasm 😂
You can feel the soul being sucked out of Raiti whenever he drives a cvt.
For good reason, any car fitted with a cvt has no soul.
Cvts are pure evil. They destroy your soul.
@@IamJay02 LOL, my 2021 Maxima begs to differ.
@@shawnstrader7242 Sorry but no. I had a 2017 Maxima Platinum and now 2021 Accord 2.0T Touring. The Accord transmission is far superior. It’s not even close.
@@shawnstrader7242 Unfortunately unless you make big bucks you will never know how Maxima feels.
Yes! It is worth the price. Great review!
Great review as always, waiting for the manual :)
Excellent video like always!!!! Great job👍..I'm looking forward for the new Accord!
Very impressive I’m glad I didn’t jump the gun & buy a 2021. This all new 2022 11th generation Honda Civic is very impressive.
Just looks like a baby accord now, at least the past gens had their own style.
They’re following what Nissan does with the Sentra and Altima
I mean... is that a problem though? I like how the Accord looks, but it was a bit bigger than I needed. A baby Accord sounds just fine to me.
The New Accord is going to have a different look.
the exterior fits a honda better the styling for 10th gen should have been reserved for si/type r, people try to drive their civic like it's a hothatch when it's a sport trim with the 2.0, the slower engine too lol. the interior however is a stepdown, better upholstery but weird styling on the dash and the screen is stepdown because it's not as subtle and it in a very annoying spot. defintiley nicer materials on the door and armrest and the no fingerprints area huge plus, the 10th gen interior was more neutral then having big pros and cons.
@@Striker50_ will there be a new Accord with the rapidly decreasing sales? I would think they'd have to bring back the Crosstour to keep relevant.
I can already see why they went with this design. They Type R and SI are going to be amazing. I can already see it
Amazing Review. But will you be reviewing the LX, Sport & EX as well? and if yes when?
I love this back seat but, we all know not everything in the car industry is color Rose's at all.
Great Video Joe and Lori as usual, your my favorite car review channel. Just wondering if it has the annoying auto stop/start feature. It's on my 2021 CR-V and I hate it. I know you can turn it off but i'd rather not have to push the button every time to disable it.
It has it, but yes you can turn it off. Wait, you have to push the button every time you restart the car? They need to make it so that you can disable it permanently.
@@franknicolosi6970 yes you have to constantly disable it then they put an orange light on the dash notifying you its disabled. I hate it, wish I could permanently just turn it off along with the auto brights. They're fine head on but blind people from behind so I have to manually turn them off at night.
I like the new Civic Joe. the interior is very nice with the touch screen and sound system my favorite part!
My boy Joe keep up the work and I love the video lot real true and funny 😄😆💯good
I can't do it with you!
Lovely car to ring in the 50th anniversary of the Civic, amazing run so far!! I like the understated look, and delighted to see a return to a more 9th Gen backend. Looking very sleek and professional, not too sporty like the 10th Gen (imo).
Thanks for that great insight Chris!
You mention a good bit of sportiness of this civic, which the only sporty I see of this civic are the wheels. Simple and cleaned up like you state, is the perfect description. I much prefer the sporty civics from last Gen even with the fake vents which I loved.
Hey Joe Thank You For The Civic Review.
You have an excellent presentation skills, you ROCKS all the time :)
Love the review and the car. Thank you. Getting mine at the end of the year. Can't wait.
It feels like Honda went back to their roots with the Accord and the new Civic; Clean, classy and cool looks. Which is also like the older Honda Accord and Civic (e.i: 7 or 8th generation and before), where the accord and the civic (sedan) had similar looks and were Clean, Classy and Cool.
You are so very right!
So so TRUE. Huge STEP BACK. Meh 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Maybe they swapped exterior designer with Toyota
Pre ordered mine and I can't wait to get it this october 😍😍😍
Honda quality in all products is one of the best out there.this civic really nice.
The 12 speaker bose system sold me 👏🏼
I'm just waiting for the Si now. I need a manual transmission in a sedan, and I won't say no to a power bump and the venerable Si badge. Probably not looking at a Type R though, it's a bit much of a commuter car and I don't have the opportunity to be tracking a car (though I'd love to).
Stay tuned!
Nice review Joe!
Nice Honda great video’s guy’s Lori 🎥👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🦅.
The interior quality and style, drive refinement..it all reminds me of an Audi A4. But combined with Honda’s reliability and engineering. That’s a great new standard to hit!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one.
@@RaitisRides Driven along a couple of A4’s and A6’s to come to this impression. I actually liked the “Boy Tokyo Racer” looks of the 10th gen, but this 11th gen makes some real key improvements. Gonna be another great seller for Honda.
I’m glad I bought my 2020 hatchback sport. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything 🤣
Good call!
Honda got lazy this time they took a 2014 accord and made it into a Civic.
Do you agree that shit looks like trash, I’m glad you did collectible car, this new civic trash they gave up
The 10th gen is the best looking Civic. Dont sell yours.
Another great and honest review. Tks
Unexpected but great posts!

great looking car. looks far more beautiful than the current accord.
thanks. awesome review.
Dying to see the R. Great video!
I really like the new civic my brodaaa, looks like a small accord
This is why I don’t like it, the past gens had their own style. I didn’t even like the past gens too much but now I appreciate them much more for being different. Honda might as well cancel the accord or civic now if you ask me
@@Samuel-H yeah ikr doesn't look like anything special but i find it decent!

That’s a nice infotainment system. All I have on my prelude is a clock.
Seing CVT become a staple, it makes me so happy to have my 2019 accord 2.0T. CVT just hurts the soul
I thought you were gonna crash when you took off in the beginning of the video. Yikes, those sreeching tires!

LOL @ the Redbull in the background. It ties in great with the Redbull Honda Formula 1 team.
You nailed it!
Beautiful design nice interior I prefer this new civic compared to the old one
That honeycomb finish is dynamite 👌🏼
I took it for a test drive its way better than the previous year!
Joe, another greatt review of this civic. Honda owner since 1987
Currently own 3 honda cars
What I love about honda is the interior design.
They make one of the best interiors in automotive industry. It’s an incredible car
But not worth the 29000 for the touring. I’d rather pay a few dollars more and get the accord sport 2.0. The EX Civic is priced better with the major flaw of a smaller infotainment screen. The LX and sport should be 7 inches and the EX and touring should share the same
9’ inch screen.
Love honda line ups so much
Seriously considering the EX-l version of this one. The redesign help it's appearance a lot IMO both inside and out. Need to see if the 10" display comes with ex-l though as do like having that on instruments if I'm buying a new car, even if this is just a 3rd car for mostly kids to drive.
There is no EX-L trim unfortunately so if you want leather you gotta go Touring. 9” screen is only offered on Touring as well.
Now I want a calzone LOL. Great review bro!
I know how you feel!
This would be a perfect gift for my sister since she loves Honda. 😊
My first car was a manual 1984 Civic. Great car!.. The new model is a great looking car...they did a great job on the styling.. my next car will probably be a WRX or STI though...
