the exterior fits a honda better the styling for 10th gen should have been reserved for si/type r, people try to drive their civic like it's a hothatch when it's a sport trim with the 2.0, the slower engine too lol. the interior however is a stepdown, better upholstery but weird styling on the dash and the screen is stepdown because it's not as subtle and it in a very annoying spot. defintiley nicer materials on the door and armrest and the no fingerprints area huge plus, the 10th gen interior was more neutral then having big pros and cons.

A lot of people feel like the 10th gen was the peak of styling for the Civic, being so bold, but also felt the Type-R was too loud.
I think this 11th gen gives that classic Honda look for the more casual models that will stand the test of time. But also has a lot of the right lines to provide a great basis for a sportier look on the Sport sedan, Sport hatch, Si, and Type-R.
(I also just like how the 11th gen Civic homages the 4th gen prelude front facia.)

Just took delivery of the 2022 Civic Touring model - Black on black, and it looks amazing. I'm 6'1" and feel very comfortable behind the wheel. No, it's not a muscle car and your not paying the additional $10k to $20k more for it. The Touring model has everything Honda has available to throw at it. Great gas mileage, comfortable/quiet ride, handles marvelously on twisty roads. Safety features galore. AND, 12 speaker Bose sound system. I looked long and hard and could not find anything on the market that compares to the Civic Touring. Well done, Honda!

This is actually, IMO, the best design effort by Honda I have seen in any of their vehicles in the last 10 years or so. I haven't cared much for any of the Civc or Accord designs since 2011-2012....no warm regard for the SUV's and CUV's either. My family is 100% loyal to the honda brand, and this new civic does not disappoint. Absolutely stunning and I bet a base trim with a 2 liter naturally aspirated four cylinder would be a great daily driver. I love the new Honda civic, I think it's worth the price for what you're getting, especially on the interior, and I think it kind of falls in line with the competition for being the top dog in the Civic line up, hopefully one day they will come out with an all-wheel drive Civic, that would be awesome 👌

Looks amazing overall but I have 2 aesthetic complaints: 1. The space invader back styling was the coolest thing about 10th gen, this is definitely more pedestrian. 2. I don't like this trend of the infotainment system looking like a tablet someone shoved into the dashboard. The Insight and 10th gen Civic look much better because they're flush with the surface of the dashboard so it actually looks like part of the car and not some afterthought. Wireless charging is cool but this assumes you never need your phone's screen for anything. I like to have Spotify playing and control that with my phone and keep the map on the infotainment screen. The Insight made this easier since I was able to put a mount in the area in front of the cupholders and it doesn't interfere with anything else (My 10th gen Civic was okay but it blocked the climate controls). With this, you'd practically have to use a cupholder mount since vent clips are out of the question and that wireless charging area is practically underneath the climate controls.
