Exactly. The thing about Ebay is you can't see how long the listing has been posted. Just because people put a certain price doesn't mean it'll sell. It's just luck that someone actually pays for it. I've known of people who'll list stuff for a high price just to see if someone will actually buy it but they truly have no intention of selling it unless someone is willing to pay that price. You just have to go to nicer neighborhoods or cities... The one down the street from my house is in a bad location with heavy traffic and it has a lot of junk and is really picked over, but if I go one city over in several different directions, there is a Goodwill in each of the surrounding cities that is packed, and with nice things. Because the people that live in the nice cities are always getting rid of "JUNK" but that just means summer cleaning, getting rid of things that may still be new or nice so they have room for NEW, nice things! lol Rich people don't usually have clutter issues because things to them come and go so you could really come up at a Goodwill in a city with wealthier people... Do a little research on what cities in your area are more wealthy and go see, the rich people if they live in a whole city, they give things to Goodwill, but everyone in the city is rich so THEY don't usually go in there and buy things second hand, so nice things sit there waiting for someone in need or wanting to flip items to come along and snatch them up! If I go to the GW in the ghetto there is very little and a lot of things are broken or picked over. When I go to the richer cities, the items are newer, nicer and not broke! Sometimes they will have a lot of some nice things... For instance they had a lot of BRAND new hand sanitizer dispensers and soap dispensers that go in like a restroom in a business, these things were BRAND NEW, and online going for around $60-120+ there was about 50 of them all in the boxes still! I didn't need them but thought it would be a flipper dream. Or someone starting a business could go in there and get a couple for their new business restroom, these were going for $4.00. One persons donation could potentially help tons of others. They had nice fishing gear, golf clubs, fur coats, nice lamps, all the clothes looked brand new
Just curious- i looked up those cake pans. How do sell them for $30 a pan when ebay and other online resell sites have several for under $5 and new they are only $15-25?
On amazon items sell for a bit more. I did recently sell a cookie monster one on ebay for $18 and it shipped first class for about $5. Its worth it if you are grabbing the. For $1 each
Interesting stuff. I used to know all the valuable VHS & DVDs, but over time they all dropped in value and it seems like no new high dollar items came along to replace them. There's advice, by the way -- if you do find good ones, sell them fast because a reissue might come out and make them worthless any time!!!
Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol will remove most adhesive residues, as well as many inks including sharpie, be careful on things like leather though. If you need something a little more powerful, acetone (nail polish remover) will also work wonders on inert surfaces, but be careful as it can dissolve more than you want including some plastics. Isopropyl is definitely safer.

Yes going to have to save this video as it seems theirs no Amazon app that's going to help you shop faster!, i wouldn't know the value of any of these items just by looking at them, it years of experience looking at hundreds of Amazon products to know this, and thus we are here watching guy's like you teaching us!
should have gotten the sector 9 board. i've heard stories of professionals using sector 9 boards. the reasoning being they are the only boards made of bamboo
i get tons of stuff for FREE, any company that goes WOKE, LIKE disney, carhart, starbucks etc... i destroy the item! it might make any survivors worth more money, but i could care less!
Good for you as I drink coffee in my carhart shirt. When you have a life you don’t pay attention to all the child’s play you will realize when you grow up and you must be a real special person to receive all that valuable product for free. Lmao smuck
Principles are a good thing! Some of above mentioned brands support child trafficking and I find it admirable that some still go by " if you can't stand up for what you believe then sit down and shut up".
Where I live your best bet are yard/garage sales or Flea/antique stores because the Goodwill prices of items have risen since 2020 for some reason. Like the normal DVDs used to be $1 and the Blu-rays $2, but are now anywhere from $3 for DVDs and $5 for Blu-rays at the Goodwill. Also, they marked up just about everything else as well. I still go because you can still get some bargins, but I have better luck at sales and flea markets.
For some reason, lol. It's because of resellers. They know exactly what they have. They aren't in the market for the poor. Their rent must be higher too. Goodwill sucks.
Their higher because they now hire someone to check the selling price on Ebay before putting it on the shelf. Not every item but the valuable looking shit…lol
The area of town makes a difference. Older areas could be a bust or good for vintage items (older people living there). The more effluent areas would have cleanest and most valuable.
Krypotonics is a Toys r Us brand board...Sector 9 is an actual board. If you look at the ply structure you'll see the press is completely different. Kryptonics using a cheap wood press while Sector 9's will have presses that have the grains going opposite each other.
@@ThriftSchool keep us updated on it! I usually don't bother thrifting skateboards because I'd imagine the sellthrough rate is slower than other items. As a skater myself I always had to feel the board on my feet plus I had this sense of loyalty for supporting your local skate shop. Most skaters are just looking for a cheap board though so I'm sure someone will be stoked to get a sector 9 at a discount.

I also found a ton of late 80s skateboarder stuff. Thrasher mags, Rob roskopp deck, a broken tony hawk deck. And a bunch of skate t shirts. Does anybody know if there's any money in grateful dead cassette tapes. I use to collect shows I have over 100 cassettes not sure if they're worth anything
It's crazy how excited people get over making tiny amounts of money. The only way you make really good money on any of this stuff is if it's brand new in the box sealed......Goodwill is the one making the money.

At least your Goodwills still have media!! All the ones in my county stopped carrying books and movies. I was going monthly and grabbing any movies I wanted to own a physical copy of.
I found a snow skate when I was picking through the dump when I was younger. I didnt know much about it but I knew it was worth money. I sold it for $75 locally only a couple days later, so I think even for $25 it could of been worth it to try to sell local!

I can go to any pawn shop buy those DVDs for cheap. There’s no way anyway is paying triple digits for that junk. And the classic movies you’ve never even heard of!

You could have made more money on the dummy than u will on the board. Throw a jumpsuit n a mask on the dummy n sell as halloween prop. I do that with all the cpr dummies i run across
Nice tip! It was so bulky I didnt really want to bring it home with me, if it was going to sit for months
How do you keep your shipping costs down?
if ohio had goodwill stores like this, I'd be making a killing
You just have to go to nicer neighborhoods or cities... The one down the street from my house is in a bad location with heavy traffic and it has a lot of junk and is really picked over, but if I go one city over in several different directions, there is a Goodwill in each of the surrounding cities that is packed, and with nice things. Because the people that live in the nice cities are always getting rid of "JUNK" but that just means summer cleaning, getting rid of things that may still be new or nice so they have room for NEW, nice things! lol
Rich people don't usually have clutter issues because things to them come and go so you could really come up at a Goodwill in a city with wealthier people...
They had nice fishing gear, golf clubs, fur coats, nice lamps, all the clothes looked brand new
Love the vids! I'm trying to sell blu-ray/DVDs on Amazon. How do I bypass submitting a purchase invoice for my movies?
DVDs are my favorite section! It’s cool to see that there are still DVDs that are worth a lot out there.
0:26 "GucciWill" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
JESSE!!! Did anyone contact you after leaving the note on your car windshield?!? 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨
not yet lol!
Каждое видео жду именно эту фразу 😁
Goodwill should be shut down !! Don't give to them !!
The best thing i use for safely removing adhesive labels is Lighter Fluid, like you use to refill Zippo lighters.

Hello 👋🏻 I am new to your channel 😊 was looking around and saw it. I enjoyed this video, it’s a little different than the ones I have watched. You are very good at showing clearly your finds and talking about them. I did subscribe and hit the notification bell so I should get your next video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awesome! Glad to have you :) I try to post as often as I can, I hope you enjoy all the vids!
I'm new to this channel too, as an Aussie this channel has to be similar with style but different with content to Team Retro's game hunt videos by Retro Gamer Girl.
Oh wow. Ive got a slew of dvds!! Whole seasons of some. Cant part with my Godzilla collection ☺ The real original ones. Not lousy remakes. Geez i cant part w some. Idk. Had no idea thier wanted on ebay. Thanks for info. 😊👍
How did you not see that Halloween lll DVD. I would of snagged that quick.
Bolo for you. Jenny McCarthy Santa Baby. Sold instantly for 35$
Yes going to have to save this video as it seems theirs no Amazon app that's going to help you shop faster!, i wouldn't know the value of any of these items just by looking at them, it years of experience looking at hundreds of Amazon products to know this, and thus we are here watching guy's like you teaching us!
Sector 9 is decent. I live in a beach town and would get like $60-80 for that. Krytonics is an old brand bought out by Wal Mart and are low end.
should have gotten the sector 9 board. i've heard stories of professionals using sector 9 boards. the reasoning being they are the only boards made of bamboo
It's going to cost $15 to $20 just to ship those skateboards, each!
Luckily I sold them locally
i get tons of stuff for FREE, any company that goes WOKE, LIKE disney, carhart, starbucks etc... i destroy the item! it might make any survivors worth more money, but i could care less!
😆 I love when people stand strong for their principles. 💪🏾
Can you make money, even after the ridiculous shipping costs?
Oh yeah. It's a grind at times, but there's money to be made.
It's no fucking mystery why prices are high. It's because of asshats like this guy, posting/bragging about how much money he makes.
Their higher because they now hire someone to check the selling price on Ebay before putting it on the shelf. Not every item but the valuable looking shit…lol
Finding good stuff at goodwill is highly region specific. Where i live, finding good things is extremely rare 🙂
The area of town makes a difference.
Older areas could be a bust or good for vintage items (older people living there).
The more effluent areas would have cleanest and most valuable.
@@hulynchow8505 where I live, finding cool old stuff is non existent. Not even old PC games.
@@hulynchow8505Not in my affluent area. They're small, sometimes clean, and super expensive. Everything has been completely picked over.
Krypotonics is a Toys r Us brand board...Sector 9 is an actual board. If you look at the ply structure you'll see the press is completely different. Kryptonics using a cheap wood press while Sector 9's will have presses that have the grains going opposite each other.
Awesome! Good to know. I dont know much about longboards, but always learning
Yep, sector 9 is a decent long board brand for sure
Dude sector 9 was worth $120
@@ThriftSchool keep us updated on it! I usually don't bother thrifting skateboards because I'd imagine the sellthrough rate is slower than other items. As a skater myself I always had to feel the board on my feet plus I had this sense of loyalty for supporting your local skate shop. Most skaters are just looking for a cheap board though so I'm sure someone will be stoked to get a sector 9 at a discount.
I have spent a lot of time on Whatnot lately, IF he’s lucky he could flip those one dollar DVDs for two dollars
I don't really get the Whatnot thing. I checked it out briefly and left confused.
I swear every thrift store I go into plays "Sombodys watching Me" from Ghostbusters! It must be on the thrift store loop lol! Great suggestions in the vid! I lived in the US now in the UK so it will be interesting to see what things go for over here as my husband has a VAST cd collection that takes up an insane amount of space! Would be nice to see if there is value in it! ( he would not part with it unless there were big bucks involved!) New sub here! x
afaik, Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell was *not* in Ghostbusters. The theme song is Ghostbusters by Ray Parker, Jr.
What do you need the space for?
More stuff.
Records are worth it, not cd's.
Thinking of getting into the "flipping" game. This video was very informative. I'm going to start with our dvd/cd collection. We have probably about 2k dvds. I have over 50 old sesame st. Dvds, the complete wonder yrs box set, complete band of brothers, complete 3s company box set. Plus tons of old horror movies. Do you think I can make some money on these? I also found a ton of late 80s skateboarder stuff. Thrasher mags, Rob roskopp deck, a broken tony hawk deck. And a bunch of skate t shirts. Does anybody know if there's any money in grateful dead cassette tapes. I use to collect shows I have over 100 cassettes not sure if they're worth anything
All of it is collectable. Your skater and Dead stuff could bring some bucks.
I have sold more western movies than anything else
A thing is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.
It's crazy how excited people get over making tiny amounts of money. The only way you make really good money on any of this stuff is if it's brand new in the box sealed......Goodwill is the one making the money.
Lmao false. Kid you wouldn’t know a thing about money. That hundred dollars in your button wallet you have saved since your birthday is all your gonna have for a good while so don’t spend it
At least your Goodwills still have media!! All the ones in my county stopped carrying books and movies. I was going monthly and grabbing any movies I wanted to own a physical copy of.
Clickbait bullshit. Where's the $200 little mermaid diamond VHS?
Lmao. If only
I found a snow skate when I was picking through the dump when I was younger. I didnt know much about it but I knew it was worth money. I sold it for $75 locally only a couple days later, so I think even for $25 it could of been worth it to try to sell local!
Thats awesome! I can deff try locally
Dude sector 9 does great for resale
I've sold that Fievel a long time ago in great condition.
Yes. My Starbucks items take a long time to sell. Thinking of not grabbing them anymore.
I've never moved a Starbucks mug. I have moved Corelle, Harley Davidson, and hand-crafted stuff.
Have YOU Ever Found Any of These Movies in The Wild?
Great video man. Did you ever get that attack movie? Any ww2 stuff you find i wouId be interested in lol. Keep up the good work and always cool to see what you find👍
@@hometownarchaeology9432 I believe I did buy it. already long sent into Amazon sadly
@@ThriftSchool all good man love watching your videos. like i said any ww2 books movies etc. I would defiantly be interested in
Re-sellers ugh!!
Great and informative. I Subscribed! Thank you!
I worked at a Goodwill for a few months and the CEO was being paid over $1 million...and this was in 2003. Ridiculous. Smh.
Krypton is Skateboard is like $35 at Walmart. Sector nine are pretty expensive. Good find
Those kryptonic boards look like absolute Walmart trash. Lol but the sector 9 looks like reasonable entry-level quality.
I ended up selling both for a profit. And the snowskate. Almost everything I bought in this video has sold.
TY for the info! Now lemme share a secret with you... The BEST way to get sticker residue off...*drumroll * Use an eraser!!! Just a plain old pink, school eraser! Erase the goo and it rubs/wipes CLEAN! You can thank me later 🤘🤘😉
Thanks Now!
You should change your name.
To what?
That Samsara is Sooo dOpe!🔥🔥🔥
My Goodwill looks like a really bad Dollar Store. All the good stuff is gone like real PYREX or crystal. I haven't bought anything there in two years now, when they changed completely.
What tool do you use to look things up? Can you recommend the best tool for thrift store & yard sales?
Amazon Seller app and Ebay app. Super simple
1994's "The Chase" (starring Charlie Sheen and Kristy Swanson) has not come to BD, and is going for up to $140 on eBay! Luckily I found it when it first came out and only paid $10 for mine. If you don't have it, you *need* to get it!
Thanks!! Any other cool ones you always keep in mind?
@@arzabael "Four Rooms", "The 13th Warrior", "Big Trouble", "Nurse Betty", and "Suicide Kings"
Free Willy DVD is only worth about five dollars max. Why are you comparing the price of the new blu ray with a used dvd?
I see everything he bought as junk, which explains why I'm not making any money doing this 🙂
I can go to any pawn shop buy those DVDs for cheap. There’s no way anyway is paying triple digits for that junk. And the classic movies you’ve never even heard of!
When you calculate how much effort and time goes into accumulating and selling these low ticket items seems counter productive. Am I missing something? Honest question
I just subscribed to you. What kind of ebay and amazon app you use to look up prices while you are shopping? Thanks
Your goodwill is nice, organized and clean... mine isn't and their prices are so high
Free Willy is only worth $30 bucks lol. But most people would rather just stream it online for like $5 or ride the high seas for free.
Price of Dogma a 124.99$ is taking for only ONE offer....only one...this not the market value...this movie sold on ebay for 20-25$
The first thing I head to is the books for hopefully some Stephen King I don't have.
There can be some rare books too that are be valuable
I always look for factory sealed copies. Dont matter what it is, if it's new factory sealed, you will make a few
bucks off it.
Bedazzled blu ray 100?
I can't find any 'new' over 16.99
Old classic horror movies like Friday the 13th sell good .
Especially on VHS
I love my VHS tapes 😂❤
That dragon soft toy look like the one I have ..wow 😮😂
Hey would it be possible to do like a time spent and profit loss video on you doing FBA and your thrift store finds maybe even on excel appreciate your videos
