- So due to the current events and how quickly things have changed I have decided to shut the doors to my business. This is something I thought I would never have to do.
About Me:
I’m Alli Schultz, the owner of Nomad Boutique. I own two store locations as well as an online boutique! I love sharing my insider knowledge about
owning a fashion boutique for other boutique owners and anybody wondering how to start a
boutique. I always dreamt of starting a business and being my own boss. Thanks to my

It’s going to be hard having your stores close but UA-cam allows you to make money from home. Maybe not much but push out some great business content and you might be surprised at the feedback.

- how to organize inventory

- how to hire employees/train them/rules you have
- how to find a warehouse.
- what to do with old inventory

You could do pre-sale tickets to an event at your store for when you open again. Like an exclusive private shopping event-put out new items for the summer. Customers get first dibs at the new stuff and offer some sort of deal for items purchased at the event. Like 15% off. Some stores do that around here for each season. Seems to work.
Look into the Small business grant Facebook just launched to help business get through this difficult time.

Girl I feel you! I haven’t closed my 2 stores yet (I’m in Florida) but I’m sure it’s coming. I am personally taking this time to plan and brainstorm ways to get more creative and turn lemons in to lemonade. I am hesitant to do big sales but I sell a lot of Spring wedding guest dresses and there are not going to be any weddings this spring 🤦♀️ Please do a video of any creative ways you’re handling the store shut downs or maybe a fb live where we can all share ideas? Keep your head up this will pass! ❤️
I'm so sorry for your situation and for everyone in America right now. Here in Denmark the government are paying 75% of employees wages if the business promises not to fire them, compensating businesses for loss of profits (regardless of whether you are a small business or a major airline), paying businesses bills, delaying tax and VAT payments so we have more cash available, etc. It's costing the government billions but it's still cheaper than economic collapse! I'm so worried for you guys with your healthcare system. Stay safe and stay away from other people as much as you can!
There's a boutique that I purchased from every time she is live through comment sold.. you definitely should do it ...I have watched every single one of your videos ..I watched a few more than once thank you for making all of them.. you have inspired me to get my seller's permit and I got it last week ..I was in Reno last month I was going to come by your store to drop a little note for you but I felt stupid LOL 😘

Yes girl!! I sell on FB Live and that's how I run my business! Very good. With all this time, look into it!!! I'm excited for this timing. Sad, but it allows us to grow and expand on projects we were never able to get to! 💪🏼 You can do it!

I wonder if there are any neighbouring businesses open that are willing to take your packages. I had to close my store this week too and it was the hardest decision ever. I am nervous that I won't be able to pay my bills but just gotta stay positive and do what I can to get online orders. I am now open on Saturdays for 3 hours for people to pick up their orders. Might be something worth looking into. I also did a Live Sale and it brought in a lot of money quick.

Hang in there! If anyone can power through this trying time it’s you! You have a whole girl gang on here supporting you!💗🙌🏼 Also, I have a cousin who has used Commet sold and she absolutely loves it! It’s how they generate most of their sales now- they’re have mini “try-ons” during the afternoon when people would normally have their lunch breaks and then they utilize longer try-ons in the evenings. They’re called Indie Jane Boutique on Facebook if you want to see how they’ve utilized it. They have a standard Facebook group and then they created a VIP Facebook group that you have to be invited too and they offer exclusive discounts and first looks for that group. Just know we’re all rooting for your success and we know you’ll come out of this thriving!🙌🏼🌿
Maybe take all of the store inventory and sell that first so its not sitting in the stores? In any case, you will perserver and come out the other side smelling like a rose:) Allis going to be okay. So proud of you Alli girl. xxxxoooo

Idea... you could do a point system for if you spend so much you get so many points that you can you use to get a $$ off next purchase. Or refer someone to your site and they spend $ you get a dollar amount off your next purchase.

Just so you know, many retail stocks like Kohls, Macys, and such, are being priced as if bankruptcy is on the table. Retail is going to dive as a result of the corona virus which will last for many months, and the recession (maybe depression) that follows, will not help. Be careful with your expenditures, lots of companies aren't able to handle the significant drop of revenue.
I feel you girl. We are waiting for the same thing to happen here in Oz but safety and health first. Everything else comes after that. Love watching your videos x
Honey you are doing the best you can and employee as well as customer safety is Priority. Your online sales will be great. I have noticed an uptick in mine. More on Mercari. Not much on ebay. But yea you will be fine!

Hey Alli, send out email bursts to promote gift cards and online shopping during this time. I'm sure you are already on this but I've noticed a couple of places doing this. Like a free gift with a gift card purchase over $xx.
Also, would unemployment help your staff out? Just a thought.

I feel so uneasy about the whole situation. Is it possible to sell your in store items or new inventory you planned for your stores online (if online sales hasn’t slowed down drastically)?
Yeah I could resort to that if things got really bad but right now I have enough inventory at my online warehouse to hold me over for a while.
@@AllisLife Even if you make a sale online, how well you ship if USPS etc are not working? Will you ship when things start reopening? Will you tell your clients beforehand that it'll take the item Weeks to reach them? I'd love to know . Thankyou

I do live sales as well but I refuse to use comment sold the percentage PLUS the monthly rate is a bit ridiculous.
My state just closed for another month. 😩 Hard times out here.

Contact your landlord and all utilities and ask them if they will work with you. Why not do a live shot from your store showcasing your collections. Do not spend any money on merchandise right now. STOP. Just hold on and be creative. Stop ordering merchandise. We’ll get thru this.
