    Ab workouts are so much harder when you have to hold the pose. This is a workout for your body and your mind as well!

    @Mardad Sanchir I can't respond directly because of your privacy settings. Regarding your question:
    "How does it take until my abs will start to have at least some kind of shape? I mean im not expecting to have a six packs ina short time but still? Love ur all vids btw :)"
    Have you ever heard the term "Abs are made in the kitchen"? It's very true in this sense. Your abs are there and have shape but if you want to see them you'll need to tweak your diet. Do a search for Diet for abs, or Abs Diet and you'll get some professional opinons ;) It would also help to practice this video 3-4x/week and alternate it with full body yoga practices. :)

    I love your workouts!! I really feel the burn every time I do this power yoga ab workout! I love the isometric holds (pushing hands/legs into each other). Those are the best.

    This workout lit my muscles up! A lot of times, when I try to do ab workouts, I perform them incorrectly and make other body parts sore. I could point out all the muscles I was moving. I think the workout was very intuitive. Thanks for sharing and teaching! I'm a happy student.

    Loved it! I learned something new, too. I never saw or thought of placing your hands to thighs and pressing. That certainly engages the core! I also like how you include modifications. As a beginning teacher, I sometimes get overwhelmed with all that involves teaching and forget modifications. I forget "sometimes" but your vids help remind me and I practice along with you almost daily. Thanks so much!!!!!!

    I loooved that you could come up with something else than the regular exercises such as sit ups and all that jazz... Just a questions, while doing boat pose for a longer time (especially in the 2nd round) my hip flexors starts to hurt real bad, feels as if they're being strained or something, am I not focusing on the core enough or is this common? Thanks for a great channel and vids :) xx

      the same happened to me with my hip flexors. Also when I do pick-ups (one of your other videos). I also super loved this video but I could only do it twice in a row so far because of the problem mentioned above :)

    Do you think it would be a good idea if I followed this video with the "Back-Power Yoga Workout" ?
    Also, will continuous practice help to get me out of my lower back in boat pose, or are there other poses/exercises to assist?

      +Heather Skiba Abs & Back would be a great routine, they'll balance each other out :) Practice other core routines as well to strengthen your boat pose, like the Warrior Strength Fit Test, the Pick Up Practice and the Plank Practice :) Always give yourself a break to recover though, and aim for hatha yoga once a week to twist & stretch everything out and restorative yoga once a week to chill. The other days you can fill with power yoga and vinyasa yoga all you'd like! That'll get you strongest, fastest while staying healthy in both body and mind

    Finally she mentioned the shaking. But I was shaking in the first pose. So does that mean I just need more time & practice? Also I feel like I'm sitting on my butt bones but the can't transition comfortably. Again, could this maybe just because off a weak core...

    (1) Tired legs - What stretches/exercises do you recommend to strengthen my legs so they can keep up with the workouts in this video? I can't stretch my legs enough for a full boat-pose or for the side-to-side (4:55)
    (2) For the exercise starting (4:55), I tend to slip down my mat every time I move, so by the end of the exercise, I'm all the way at the other end. Am I doing something wrong?

      +Joshua Nagel The Deep Stretch video might be a good one to start with. As for the move where you're moving. Try going slower and focusing on engagement, don't go as far or even bend your knees to modify so that you're not rocking your body side to side.

    Hey, I have ulcerative colitis as well but I am currently in remission. I was wondering if it's safe to do this workout since it might be affecting colon considering it's gonna target the abs so. so is it safe to do this? thanks in advance

      Maria Adams Hi there, in my 20+ years experience I've never heard about avoiding abs & core work because of UC. I've only avoided strenuous workouts while in flare so my body has the energy to heal. If you're concerned, ask your gastro what their thoughts are.

    you should make another workout like this but with different poses. I cannooooot make my legs push back against my hands, ive tried so many times and the closest i can home is using one have to push against my legs and holding my shin with the other to assist my leg in pushing against my hand and all it does it hurt the hell out of my legs i feel nothing in my abs and i dont have the room in my tiny apartment for the legs up the wall move even with my knees bent ): i like your workouts because, unlike most yoga people ive found on youtube, your voice doesnt annoy me and i dont feel like you go too fast so i really wanted to like this ab specific workout but i can hardly do it lol i feel like every pose is wrong. it sucks because your other ab workout seems VERY plank centered and i cant do side planks worth sh!t.
    please make an ab workout thats not all planks but that a person can do without the space to have their legs out straight and to both sides lol

    if i do this exercises for a period and then i stop ... shall my muscles turn into fat?

      nancy Tomas No, muscles don't turn into fat, they'll simply shrink if you stop completely for a long period of time. But if you do this for a while and move onto another routine that works core you'll continue training the same muscles but in a different way which can be very beneficial towards their growth and maintenance. Muscle burns fat, it doesn't turn into fat.

      Because it's much easier to gain weight when you stop exercising. A personal trainer or a nutritionist can provide you with a professional response. Just eat clean and be active :)
