Brian: Great video! Amazing to watch your boat come together. A special thank you for using Merc engines. They are manufactured about an hours drive from my home by great craftsmen and craftswomen. Enjoy your new rig to the max while being safe on the water. A ProXS for a Pro Xtra Special. God Bless!
You got a sweet looking boat there Brian... can't wait to see it in action
Dude. As a seasoned marine electronics service tech (14yrs) and cutting my teeth in the industry rigging Nitros and Trackers .. your knowledge of this stuff is awesome. This vid actually brought back some *nightmares* 😉 I *wish* more folks knew their boats like you know yours. 🤘
Brilliant! It's looking good! Hoping to have my first bass boat by the end of next year.
Can’t wait for the next boat build log to see how the electronics are put in by professionals and the tools the pro’s are running. This has been really helpful and entertaining seeing this process start to finish. Hopefully I’ll be a future boat owner myself next year. Thanks again Brian!
That’s a beautiful rig B excited to see it hit the water !!!!!
Love it!! Look forward to seeing it on the water!
have had merc four strokes on my last 4 boats. never a problem one. also had a 150 yamaha 4 stroke on a skeeter and it ran flawless also. nothing but 4 stroke power for me. fuel economy is fantastic.
Looks awesome Brian happy for you and I really hope you have a great year coming up. Love your videos can't wait until the next one.💦🐟👍
The black falcon with silver out line would look killer. It’d be a clean subtle detail.
These videos are freaking legit! Falcon looks like they have an amazing team. Opie is a beast!
I'm glad you can keep your composure, if that were my boat I'd be so jacked right now!
I wanna see a top speed run with that Pro XS 250. Definitely a slick setup you got there.
Go with the silver stckers.
Looks nice good luck this year four strokes are awesome
Your going to love the motor Brian I have around 22 hrs on mine and it has incredible mid range power .
Beautiful boat my friend! I'm sure the Mercury was the best choice!
That thing is looking sick Brian!! Nice choice in the motor man! Can't wait to see it in action soon!!
Boats beautiful man! I love that carolina built bass buggy
Great video Brian, definitely worth the wait!!!
Nice boat and motor! I’ve been on a wait list for the Merc ProXS 250 since April 2019 and they tell me I MIGHT get one by June 2020. That’s plain crazy. At least you got one.
Dat trolling motor looks just like my Ultrex…. You are gonna love that Merc.
I like it good too. And the black decal. 👍🏻😎
Beautiful Boat and Merc 4 stroke pro xs is a thing of beauty
Looks great. Hope you have a winning season
Nice boat! Here at our Hampton Virginia Bass Pro Shops store never heard of any motor shortages.
I have the New Merc ProXS 200hp on my F195...you will LOVE it! Wait until you start it up, it sounds TOUGH!!!
Awesome, awesome boat brian it looks great. The Mercury 250 pro xs 4 stroke looks like a beast on the back. I think the silver Falcon logo looks good. Or maybe a mirror Falcon logo. Boat loos great I'm sure it will fly.
Cool and looks great
Let's go get it next year
That's a sweet bass rig B-Lat!
Looks really sharp!!
I have a sprint bass boat 1996 bass boat hand made and it still runs like new with its 175 Johnson fast strike
I've really enjoyed watching your boat come together. Falcon looks like they do a fantastic job. Thanks for sharing this man!! Edit- gotta go with the black sticker. Or better yet see if you can find one that's the same as the 250 on the side of the motor. That's where it's at
I hope you do a live proping set up testing for us. I ran the first gen 225 ProXS on a Lund 2025 back in the day and ran 58 with full walleye load and 650lbs of tow guys. They were a 2 stroke back then but wow. Wished for them to make a 250 and 300.
Lets hope these rock like they did back then as these are a new product. Our Walleye boat this year needs a 300-350.
I’ve been waiting forever for this update. Still always to go. Good stuff
Holland Sauce thanks
It’s looking good.
That motor looks legit! Can't wait to see you run it. I liked the black/silver outline decals. Stealthy...
Paul Yotsuya that’s what I’m going with
Awesome boat!
Looking good
Love the merc on that boat
You have mega power now-like it
Good luck to season man I hope you win one or two at least
The black looks dope
That thing is bad ass. Leave it just like that. I wanna see the first run
With that ProXS ghost 250 badging, you need to put the black Falcon logo on it! Great looking boat B!
Good stuff! A fourstroke on that thing would be awesome!
Share your love for the Merc!!!! Not sure if Falcon chose you or you them?? All I can says this has been the best series I’ve ever seen on professionals getting a new boat! Falcon should be proud to have you! Sadly just had to put my ranger to sleep up here in Ohio this year! Falcon will definitely be tops on my new retirement boat in a few years!
Damn I love the merc..
The new mercury 4 strokes are legit..I have a 2018 nitro z18 with the 150. The hole shot to pad is so quick...the torque is crazy compared to the 2 stroke..The new 4 stokes motor covers and maintenances is easier and if you get the mercury app for ur iPhone you can just hook it up and check hours and tons of other awesome features...love the channel btw !! 🔥🎣
Damn bro, this thing is sick. You don't want to be the blue falcon my man, at least not the kind I knew in the Corps. Enjoy the boat, Falcon needs to make their way out here to the West Coast. Those things are SWEET!
Wow alot of nice stuff from th marine
Looks great
This series has been great. Next boat will be a falcon. I was leaning that way and the build and detail has me convinced now. Love the no carpet in the bottom idea. Will steal. Also glad to see I’m not the only one who doesn’t like a hotfoot. I understand the safety idea but a kill switch does the same thing
Jake Adams yeah it’s so much better for your back and in rough water with the hand throttle
well beings im in law enforcement love it thin blue line...good luck in 19 B LAT
That blue stripe is sick
Electronics, you should go with garmin and the livescan. I had lowrance and switched and it was just insane with the difference I seen.
THESE ARE GREAT VIDEOS
This video is cool! Funny too..... I enjoyed it.
HappyNowBass Fishing thanks man
Nice....black falcon stickers
For center floor get some seadek stuff in foam padding and tough you can engrave you name if you want jt🇺🇸🐟🎣⛱🛥🌴😃😊🙏🏻
This rig is sweet
Awesome!
Is his name really opie? 😂😂
Anything KVD is good. I would have even got a spare hydrowave just in case. KVD always carries a spare trolling motor. Dude.. those look like huge storage spaces. You could fit a competitor's body in one or 2 lockers. Something to think about🤣🤣.. would be nice to check out a free catalog if they have one. I'm kind of stuck between a skeeter, Nitro, or a Ranger. Cool video. Love your new boat. Can't wait to see you on the water with it
Blue would be cool also.
"Cause I'm from Belton and that's how we talk" Hahahaha yep! 🤣
I must say first time I ever have seen a bass boat being built I really enjoyed watching your video I am now a new subscriber and I can't wait to see the next videos on when you put this thing in the action I love the colors and I think that mercury was a great idea anyway on another note if you ever decide to get rid of one of your older boats me and my wife have a dream of starting an outdoor fishing Ministry to provide a way for mothers and daughters Fathers and Sons and take them on a fishing trip that's free of cost to them if you felt like ever donating one of your older boats to our ministry please give me a holler the name of our ministry is get hooked on Jesus and God bless you brother I'll be tuning in for the next video
Black is a wonderful color for a boat, especially here in Florida. Around 2p.m. you should be able to fry an egg on the gunnel. just imagine walking barefoot on it. 2nd degree burns.
Yeah color has nothing to do with that
Lookin DOPE!
What prop are u gonna run and why? 3 blade or 4?
Boat is looking sexy man! Love a Mercury myself and it looks great with your boat. You will most likely get use to that hot foot and never go back, much safer driving and much more control of your boat..drives like a car now! I liked the silver sticker a lot better, gotta have something break it up from all dark. Now I'm curious why it's hard to get motors..lol..but I would love to have one of those 250 Merc they are sharp and all I've ever ran. I kinda got fired up when I seen it was a merc. Brian you should love that boat it's a hot rig!!! I would put a Hummigbird on there myself but I was wondering do all the pros run Hydro wave units??? I would love to have one of those too.
I've had a throttle that kept going when I didn't want to keep going....
When that happens not only do you have to repair the throttle cable, but you have to replace the driver seat as well....
Nice!!!
Let’s get it!!!
Enjoyed the video. First time I've seen start to finish. Color is always personal. I do like the black and blue (that's my vote). Sorry to Mercury but you are going to HAVE to change that red stripe to blue now. Silver letters unless they have the same thing in blue because a matching blue lettering would be best. Personally, I would have flipped the colors, but I can't fault your choices because they work.
Regarding the Falcon, I have to decline because I have relatives who make Rangers.............😁
Boat & motor is looking really great Brian. Man after my own heart, I don't care for foot throttles either. After driving a vehicle all the time every day on the road, I much prefer a hand throttle on any boat. We've been getting along just fine with the hand controls for decades. It's also a welcome rest for your right foot. I don't buy the "foot throttle is safer on a boat" crap. With the technology we have today in hydraulic steering systems........1 hand on the wheel during the operation of the hand throttle with the other hand works just fine.
Howabouthetruth it’s a personal preference deal. For me the benefit is back support. I can brace myself for hard hits with my legs with a hand throttle. It’s also much easier for me on long runs. Even with a foot throttle I still drive with one hand because the trim is your ultimate throttle. For me, I control my boat more with the trim than I do the throttle especially at high speed.
@@BrianLatimerFishing EXACTLY. The trim button is far more important when operating a fast boat. Guys who have never experienced a true performance hull can't comprehend how RESPONSIVE the trim control truly is.
If you had a friend get ran over due to the hand throttle staying in the wide open position you would change your mind, I have lost a friend due to it and I know the kill switch does good too but I got thrown out of an Allison at over 75 mph and I was glad to have hot foot throttle and kill switch too, Thank the Lord! just my thoughts everyone needs to make their own decision, just remember the decision you make now may cause regrets sometime in the future, do you want to take a chance? Things happen in an instant, glad i got the owner of the allison to put on his lifejacket and he laughed when I asked where the kill switch lanyard was before I hooked it up, he said he never wore it, now he does after swimming the lake in 20 degrees and 35 degree water!
Nice bud! Was surprised that you don’t like running a hot foot.
C Bach hard on your back in rough water and not a fan of long runs with a foot throttle. Just my preference
Why did you go with the Fortrex vs the Ultrex? Don't have a boat of my own yet so not up to par with the difference between the two. You considered some blue accents on the motor to match the rest of the boat?
Really good looking boat. Curious what the price in the end wound up being. I've thought about going with them because they're so close to me. After a few months of owning, how do you like it and would you change anything? Will they sell directly to me if I can come pick it up?
BLAT. when you said no carpet in the floor I was surprised. One thing you might want to consider is putting non-skid down in there. its going to get slick and you'll regret not having something there to give you some grip. The base mold like that wont do it man. Just a warning from someone who has experienced that pain. Great video man! Keep up the great work!
Oper8or it’s already surfaced as seen in video
All of our models have a non skid surface under the carpet in this area. Brian will have a closed cell foam pad with a Falcon bird head cut into it covering this area. This will be easy to clean and look cool too!
Glad you could stay with tube mercury Brian,,,,,,,they are the baddest on the water
Derek Clark all I’ve ever had
@@BrianLatimerFishing I won't have a boat without one,,,,,,good luck this year and good luck with that new baby
Tight!
Please tell us what speed and props you use what you test drive it.
Awesome vid but ya gotta go with the SHO
I love my 115 pro xs motor it gets up and goes
shane robbinette I love that engine
@@BrianLatimerFishing its super easy to che k oil and change it.
Get a blue Falcon sticker made and have a vinyl guy cover the red on the engine with blue.
GARMIN Baby...!
Logo should of been blue to match stripping. It would have been cool to have matching stripes on the engine also.
MERC baby
One recommendation I have try bigger props then what your use to I went from turning a 26 to a 32 on the same boat and run 6 miles a hr faster fully loaded
Even though this is an old comment, you have to have a laptop hooked up and running mercury diag software when testing props on the new 4 strokes the throttle is computer actuated, and the ecu controls rpm using the throttle.. You can put on a prop with half the required pitch, and it won't exceed the max rated rpm, as the computer will close the throttle without telling you.
I was hoping you were going to run a 195 with a G2 this year, considering you like the hand throttle and the G2 offers both with the touch of a button but the merc is OK.
galada52 verado as well
Hey BLAT, is there anything on the market that would allow you to switch back and forth from hot foot to hand throttle?
Lupe Martin yes mercury DTS
Do a blue Falcon sticker
Two fiddy in jawga too
Think you might like some decking material in your floor. That way you wont see scuffs in the glass and some padding. Like the stuff seahunter puts in their rod locker
John Herrera nahh it’s already finished with a non slip
@@BrianLatimerFishing like that idea though. I used to have a light gray carpet and it would just get nasty down there
Blue falcon
So will you have bill Lewis decals on this year?
REDDEX Washington I don’t think so
Why didn't you go with the Ultrex?
I wanna see the numbers. Waiting for on the water.
Hmoob828InZomniac me too!
What happens to your old boat??
You need to change that red stripe to blue to match the boat.
LongviewGarage nahh. That’s not being true to mercury 😂. It’s like changing the colors on the American flag
@@BrianLatimerFishing Says who??? You just scared!!!
Blake O I had one of those blue ones!!! Nah it’s time to fish though. The new owner can change it if he wants to.
Blake O holy cow bunch of Girl Scouts caring about aesthetics way to much, looking at that rig the one thing you have to say is change the color of a stripe? Lmao you'd never be allowed on my boat.
Thebassinkid. My favorite comment of all!
The gray on the merc is the gray the falcon logo should b...
Two Fiddy!
All my boats have had mercury engine but the boat in the back ground had a Johnson ( 23:13)
