Your journal has a cool 1950s vibe! Thank you for sharing because I’m planning to make a surprise junk journal for my sister using a ring binder. This is helpful. 😊
Beautiful and fun. I personally don’t like ringbinding, but this is ofcouse just so much easier to work with. It’s easy to and change, as your garden grows. Good job!!
I’ve seen a few journal makers using this particular garden book/binder to create journals from. I’m pleased because I bought this book and used it as my gardening reference book when I first married and through the years! It helped me grow that part of my life! I still have it. Yours turned out beautifully! :) Thx for sharing with us.☘️💚
Awwww. Thank you for saying that. I have always hated the sound of my voice until recently. I have finally accepted it and it’s allowed me to start this channel. You are an encouragement. 🥰
Hey Meg! I love your channel. Your style is so much like mine! It means a lot to me as a newbie at making videos, that you would comment and subscribe. Thank you so much!
What a nostalgic journey. The yellow fold up card you showed might have been from a company name Current, who in the 70s and 80s offered hundreds of charming stationary items. I loved their catalog and still run cross, in my stash, assorted note cards, etc. Really enjoyed this journal video.
These older binders are so beautiful. They can be intimidating to get started on, but I’m so glad I did. Thanks for subscribing! I have so much more to share!
This is beautiful! I don’t know how you can even consider selling it…lol. I have one of the old cookbooks like this that was my mama’s. You’ve given me the idea to do this with it. She loved to cook and made little notes in it; plus I have a lot of her old handwritten recipes I could add. I’ve been wanting to do something in memory of her and your video has answered that…thank you!
Oh that makes my heart so happy that I was an inspiration. I wish I had more of my mom’s handwritten recipes. Those are such sweet memories. I have a cookbook binder journal I will show soon. Hopefully that will give you even more ideas.
@@AmiRuth_Treasures oh I’d love to see your cookbook journal. Cooking and sewing were the things I remember the most beyond her unconditional love and support. She always tried to involve me in cooking, canning, writing recipes, etc. Sewing was a no show for me unless I had to stand still for measurements…lol. She made most of my baton and skating outfits.
So glad I stumbled across this video! I recently acquired the same garden book - I love it and I love how you altered it. I wouldn’t have the heart to change the cover either. Beautiful as is! You’ve got a new subscriber here ❤😊
Inspired! Bought one of these better homes and gardens binders on eBay and am now flexing to start one. I have a ton of garden themed scrapbook papers in my stash!
Aww. I love that. I will be showing more in the coming days and weeks. Turn on your bell notification for my channel and you’ll see when I post a new video. 🥰
I am so happy this popped up in my feed today. I love this garden journal so much. You have given me so many great ideas to add in my second journal I am in the process of making. I have the Betty Crocker binder cookbook from 1974 that I received as a wedding gift from my first marriage that I would love to do something like this. Thanks again for so much inspiration. Subbed and liked also. Have a great day.
Wonderful! I have some cookbook binders that I’m considering making a tutorial with. That would be fun! My fingers are itching to get into some yummy paper. 😂 Thanks so much for watching, liking, and subscribing. It means so much.
Lovely project! And so fun that your embellishment (pink flower) matched the project! I thought the incorporated envelope was an especially nice touch.
I’m considering doing that. I don’t have another garden binder but I have several cookbook binders. I could follow the same format. Thanks for your kind comment. 😊
I have an old cookbook binder that's just taking up space in my kitchen, I'd LOVE a tutorial to transform it into something I'll actually use. ❤️😎 @@AmiRuth_Treasures
It’s so easy. I’m kinda impatient and I live in the south, so with the humidity it takes forever to dry. I just stick it in the oven with the card stock. It comes out darker at first and then as I reuse the card stock it gets lighter. And it’s fast! Thank you for watching! 😃
@@AmiRuth_Treasures don’t know if you can be any “souther” or more humid than Baton Rouge , LA but baking is necessary especially in summer which starts next week. Thanks for the reply.😊

This is so pretty! I've been looking for this binder, but the ones I've seen are either too expensive, or really trashed. Someday I will find one, and hope it turns out half as pretty as yours.
Awww you are so kind. Thank you. I think I found mine at half price books in Dallas. It was worth whatever I paid for it. They are really hard to find. Hoping you can find one too!
Beautifully done! Is it difficult sewing different thicknesses of paper together? I want to try it, but I'm a little nervous, too. I just found you. Liked and subscribed. I am looking forward to learning more from you 😊.
