@astickofbutter, sorry for my very late reply. It's been a busy summer for us. We are so glad to have saved you $4.00!! It truly means a lot to be able to save people some money. Cheers, Sarah
@shamsiasultany, hmmm, it's the first time we've been asked this question. You could potentially make it with any kind of starch that's in the form of flour. So if you have it available you could another starch that is in very fine form. Likely you can get rice starch, potato starch, amaranth starch, but we're not certain of that. We have bought Arrowroot starch in the past for a recipe. Let us know how you make out!
@shamsiasultany, cornstarch if also called corn flour. It usually comes in a small box (at least where we live) and it's the texture of a very fine flour. It's the starch from corn and doesn't have any gluten.
Did you know, Tom dickson was the first person who showed us granulated sugar in a blender turns into powdered sugar. But, he forgot to add cornstarch.
@M3l4nie_ALDC no, unfortunately that won't work. The sugar won't be fine enough, it will be grainy. It needs to be fine to dissolve. A blender is necessary.
@Abeerakhan, where are you located? In England 🇬🇧 they call cornstarch cornflour. If it's the fine white powder, yes. If it's the more yellow coloured flour used for polenta, then no.

Hi to make a cake could I use icing sugar instead of granulated sugar ?
@angeliclight, no, you need to use granulated sugar in the cake. Icing sugar would be for the icing on the cake!
Thank you for the recipe ❤
@@samriddhimishra5641 you're very welcome. Glad we could help!
Will a food processor work
@jonathan, unfortunately, no, a food processor won't work as it's not powerful enough.

Never heard of icing sugar. Confection sugar?
@kellidinit, where do you live? In North America, icing sugar is what we call the sugar you use for making icing. Are you in Europe?
Yes, it's the samething.
Icing sugar, confectioners' sugar, and powdered sugar are all the same thing.
