Not sure if you'll read this or not, Ola, but the chug pedal is f&*king amazing. I adore it! I've bought and sold countless pedals over the years, but I'm glad I finally found one that just sounds amazing overall and is so versatile. Huge props to you and your team for making such awesome products!
@@Targon999 I'm using an audio interface. Then I'm running the Neural DSP Gojira plugin with the IR you get when you buy a Chug pedal. Sounds sooo good.
Edit: I am a fan of slayer. Sorry Ola. If we're going by album sales then it goes; Anthrax in 4th(3.8m), 3rd.Slayer(20m), 2nd.Megadeth(38m), and 1st.Metallica(125m). If its monthly spotify streams you want it goes; 4th.Anthrax(1.4m), 3rd.Slayer(4.2m), 2nd.Megadeth(4.6m), and 1st. Metallica(22m).
@@ElGuapoDeSantoPoco I'd agree with that. I saw them on their final tour with Anthrax, Lamb of God and Obituary. It was one of the best shows I've been to
Hi Ola, Another SWOLA... Thank you.... It is how I wake up with a cup of coffee on Sunday morning... I am an American currently living in Germany. When you mentioned that Pantera was coming to Sweden, I immediately started researching (After SWOLA of course)... to see if they are coming to Germany.. and just got my tickets for Berlin... Thanks for the heads up.. At first I wasn't sure about all of this, with the "Reunion/Tribute" talk, etc... but I believe that everyone knows, especially Zakk and Charlie, how important this is to do it right... We are very excited to see this music live and as an homage to the brothers while getting the brutal, crushing Pantera tunes out in the world again... I saw them once in '97 I believe; it was in Denver, Colorado during the Live 101 tour, and it was amazing.... Horns up, brother... Thanks for all of the amazing content... JD
Just being able to jam along with some new drums every week makes the workweek all worth it...im glad you are able to do, what you do for all of us. Cheers Ola.
Bonamassa a genius ? IMO he sounds like a lot of bands in the 80’s with nothing special. It probably comes from me as a lot of people loves him. Now I have to play my new Solar ❤
DAMN was that an actual Gibson RD from Baest's rhythm player? It's so rare, I love them so much it brings me joy that some artists are actually playing one of these, I wish Gibson would make more of these guitars
Great show! I reeeeeally really enjoyed this episode. Anytime I actually watch a SWOLA eposode a Sunday, it always puts me in a really positive mood to go forward with through the rest of the day. So, THANKS for that! Much Love!
Im going to see the pantera tribute in june! Ever since i started listening to them a couple of years ago and they instantly became my fav band ever. I of course knew i'd never have the opportunity to see them live, but this is the next best thing! Cant wait! See you at graspop!! \m/
you say you see the privilege in what you do on UA-cam... but you definitely have earned it all. This wasn't handed to you by any means, you worked your ass off for yeeeaaaars to get to this point. We appreciate everything you do, keep up the awesome work and stay humble my dude!
I've only met Joe Bonamassa a couple of times. But I worked for his dad at one of his guitar stores. Great family. I just think us folks from CNY are a misunderstood. We have a different character and mannerisms. I blame the weather. We have a very sarcastic sense of humor. We take shots at each other in what would seem like a negative connotation., but we mean no harm. We don't mean to offend, we just like testing the waters of what someone can handle to see where we stand.
Rockin' the Power Donut. I like that. And I'm getting there pretty fast, too. It's only hair, guys. We all lose it eventually. Embrace the change and PWN it!
DAMN! The last couple of weeks, I've been looking forward to "SWOLA", but I start jamming my guitar before it starts, and I miss it. Anyway, great opening riffage, as usual, Ola.
THANK YOU.. so sick of seeing axe effects fake digital bull shit. Straight from the heart to fingers to pickup to speaker. Let the audience hear you, not a sample recorded in Los Angeles by someone else a year ago!
Big fan my man. Your intro riffs stick in my mind all week so thank you for that. I especially like the one for episode 110. One question with this video........who is the band and song at 19:44 of this video. I apologize if this has been asked already.
Honestly, if the Big Four pass on the torch to another four bands, it would be unbelievably interesting to see which bands would be the next Big Four. In some sense, I'd argue it completely unnecessary, but I'd be interested to see the spectacle that would be made about it once Anthrax, Megadeth, and Metallica eventually consider a full-on retirement. Though, really, I have a feeling that Scott, Dave, and James would rather die on stage mid-tour in Lemmy fashion rather than just a retirement. I think they'll just refuse to die like Ozzy.
regarding the Bonamassa thing: If you constantly "eat" the shit people throw at you its only gonna get worse. I understand that some nations are a little more reserved when it comes to mentioning your success but in that case it is absolutely the right call. Because its nothing but the truth. The fact that Joe feels pressured to quit social media because of this is just sad.
Social media is ridiculous. But Joe was RIGHT to point out the comparison. Sorry the Swedes don't stand up for themselves. The response was warranted, don't care what you think, Ola.
Now i start seeing youtubers posting rewiews of the Mesa 25w! And you Ola said that you will check it out! I ordered a Mesa head and cab from Thomann this March, was supposed to get it in October, but is delayed until April -23! How the f**k can everybody else get Mesa??? Vårgårda Sverige🇸🇪
Joe bo is an incredible human being as to recognize his limitations and not take part, in all sincerity, i miss the world where people always had to speak as if the person with whom you're speaking could hold you to account , or "tune you up" so to speak.. Not a fan if violence, just manors. You are awesome ola, loved seeing u playing davidian with machine head
there's a very good chance that Slayer wouldn't participate if they did a big four show, so why not give bands like Testament, Exodus and Death Angel the recognition they deserve? They should make a thrash metal festival where the OG's play as headliners and younger bands play throughout the day if they actually want to "pass the torch"
@@Rjensen2 i was thinking about something like Knotfest, Slipknot have been doing that for years now and a lot of smaller bands have found visibility thanks to it. I doubt that Slipknot and their management would still do it if they weren't getting a lot of money themselves. Also bands like Angelus Apatridae, Havok and many others are already going to big festivals so i don't see the difference.
Thanks for watching guys! If you want to support the channel you can get some mercy from www.olaenglundshop.com
Ola I farted do you have any advice?
Put Testament in the big 4 instead of Slayer. They do have Dave Lombardo now. Edit: did the guy who normally does QTD pass away or something?
