Oh man! I was there!! 15 years old and we missed all the trains home, stuck in town all night and still one of the best and funniest nights of my life!!
Well said, sir! Good rock music (and good music in general) is supposed to take you out of your reality--your mind and body enter another dimension and you go where that flow takes you. Before cellphones and (anti)social media took over our lives, people LIVED!!! I miss those days.....
K: Couldn't agree with you more...god I'm starting to sound like my parents.."Music was so much better when I was young" I'm beginning to see what they meant...

And don't buy into this horseshit about "good music is out there, you just have to look for it". If its good music, then shouldn't it find us? Back then it did.
Now 43 years old. Thanks to Darren Brown in Ballyclare High School for introducing me to The Cult and The Damned....still listening all those years later. Doc
Sadly I was in New Zealand in a doomed relationship, she has gone but The Cult are still with me. I have followed that band since Southern Death Cult some things are meant to last.❤😊
Seen them LIVE here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA in 1987 and it was the best concert I have ever seen....I remember that Guns N Roses opened up for them and they could could not win the crowd over! The Cult Forever!!!!! Later!
Always loved the Cult from day 1. I always felt like they were ahead of the curve musically. They had a distinctive 80's style, but one all their own. And who can argue with that amazing Gretch guitar sound!!!
In fact i almost might hazard a guess that Ian's hammered in this. Ha I was there! Can’t believe I’ve found this! Great gig! Memories! 😎👍🏻🤘🏻 0:52: ala bra la bang baby owww!
I LOVE these guys so much. That said I saw at least 3 tours where Ian wasn't up to his best. I am listening now agin, I love them and the music, they are so talented....
The fact that the lead singer is totally wasted makes this performance all the better: A raging and out-of-control train wreck being cheered on by a raving and hopping crowd. Fun stuff.
Played this at the State club in Liverpool! Art deco club with Italian marble pillars ,huge mirrors, dry ice and the first laser to be used the UK......with a kickass sound system, great dj's playing great mix of songs.the club was used by FGTH in the banned version of Relax also the film ' A Letter To Brezhnev' featured a lot of scenes inside the club! Been in clubs all around the world, nowhere comes close!
I love this. It's raw, it's loud and it's real. Any true Cult fan can admire this for all it's glory! From Southern Death Cult to their new album "Weapon of Choice" they have continued to progress and rock me, heart & soul!
Its a FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG tune !
holy smokes Duffy tears anew corn shooter in the corwd with that White Falcon Gretch, he's a badassed gitfiddler no doubt! I love this band and this was my music then and now. As an 80's kid it always felt right to crank it up in my 70 Monte Carlo with my polk 6x9's and my pioneer supertuner ll blasting away god good times!
Oh man! I was there!! 15 years old and we missed all the trains home, stuck in town all night and still one of the best and funniest nights of my life!!

The 80's music we need in 2023!

Notice how the crowd is DANCING? Now they stand there getting it all on their cell phones; glad I experienced this back in the day.

And you could smoke a joint inside. And not get rushed out of the parking lot before a show. Long time gone. Glad I saw it first hand.
Oh I remember. Impossible to forget.
they sound much better in concert with a two guitar line-up. the rhythm line drives much harder with it. great song!
Yes, it looks and sounds pretty awesome, what a guitar sound.
Saw them in Boston in '87. Still the best concert I've ever been to.

Always loved the Cult from day 1. I always felt like they were ahead of the curve musically. They had a distinctive 80's style, but one all their own. And who can argue with that amazing Gretch guitar sound!!!
