The singer Prince wanted to change his name to a symbol at one point. So I don't see how "Passenger" is ridiculous at all.

he usually puts the capo 5-7 as it goes well with his pitch
I don't think it has to do with pitch, since you can transpose chords to play it without capo. I think it has to do with that special sound that the capo on 5-7 creates.
He had it on 7th so Ed could play the G, 'cause he usually has it on 5th or 6th as someone already said when he plays alone :) So I think Mike thinks that 5-6 suits him better

Its amazing how much they feel it while they preform. You can tell it's all about the passion for the music. They are genuine and they actually have known eachother for a long time Ed met the lead singer of Passenger while he was preforming and they became friends so I am sure they have a bunch of jam sessions we have not heard but honestly Magical is the only word that describes this. Both have their eyes closed and they are just listening the the strings echo into the night and rocking to the beauty the other creates.

folk songs or songs with a folk-type air are beautiful and they don't get enough credit. They have the rare ability to speak the cutting truth, while still sounding almost upbeat. No matter what, the music of these types of songs always makes you feel good. Ed has the best voice for this.

I just watched a tv recording of Ed playing Wembley last year. Considering his fame he is just the most humble down to earth guy. He invited passenger to play as a support act because they are friends and used to (and still do probably) rock the touring/festival scene. This song is spine tingling. You can tell they are just in the zone. Totally chilled and each totally connected and in tune to the melody and the beautiful lyrics. I love both these artists and they are a true representation of British singer songwriters who really are in it for the music and not necessarily the money and fame. To even compare them to the trashy pop songs spouted out by X factor contestants and the like would be sacrilege. Long may you reign guys. We all love you xxxx ❤️

How many times has this song made me cry? I can't count. Absolutely incredible, genuine and authentic love song. I am not squishy by any means, but if someone had to sing this to me, I would just melt on the spot.

Depends on your outlook. To me this is predictable drivel with next to no inspiration behind it, mainly the notion that it sounds okay so that will do. To others the simplicity of the music and the poor guitar playing, despite how basic the song is, would produce completely different results to how you feel.
