Mirrored is far better than club standard. This keeps the tempo pitch out the way. I highly prefer it
If you hit the sample key twice it will put the pads in neural mix mode… you can then hit the pads to toggle the “stems”….
As far as your fx controls… there is a button that looks like sliders at the top of the pro ai interface… hitting that will put the middle display into fx mode… you can then have access to the 3 banks…

You can map the effect knobs to control stems by using shift or press mode button will put eq into stem mode. I’ve mapped shift and headphone cue to be able to operate stems on eq.
I agree with dj pro ai being able to scroll effects just isn’t there, you have to use iPad. I’ve mapped a couple of buttons to be able to scroll effects. Djay pro is so simple to map. I’ve even managed to be able to split stem on deck a and b (inst deck a and acapella deck b). This is pretty dope as you can scratch the acapella. Also mapped stem effects similar to serato on pads. Other stuff like preview with fast forward and rewind as well when previewing. I did map filter to stem but I put it back to filter as I do like a fat filter.

The Mixon 8 is priced the way it is bc it’s a STANDALONE MIXER also. You can’t do that with Rev5/7 or any Hercules T7(if have to double check the flx10.) it also has DVS build in it. This controller can do a lot but if you arent tech intuitive or spend some time learning the controller You’d think this is over priced.
for a 4 channel controller with paddles for each channel, i feel the price is fair where it is, but its definitely a high end price tag. i dont feel you can justify they 800 price point unless you adjust the rev5 accordingly as its only a 2 channel, the value just isnt there at that price
Hmm... $800?? Man the features aren't featured on anything else in its price range. I studied all the controllers. Owned the Roland dj-808, used most of them except RANE & grew up on turntables & mixtapes. So far nothing is close to what the mixon 8 is offering. I cant wait to get mine. Thanks for the review man.
