in today's video i am setting up my first ever reading journal, i'm super excited.
as always, if you have any tips, recommendations or requests feel free to leave them in the comments below (along with your favorite book / series!) , and i will do my best to create some fun videos!

Hi Hannah, I was searching for how to start a reading journal and your video popped up. Your take on it is so easy, something i could definitely do , after being overwhelmed with so many ideas on pinterest etc.
Its so simple yet effective and your journal is just so beautiful. I hope you have read quite a number of books by now. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
I love the mason jar stamp! Thinking of starting a reading journal of my own-I am already an avid reader and I want to keep better track of what I’ve read and what I thought about it :)

I have so many favorite books. The one that comes to mind first is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

I got so many ideas from this video. I just got a Game of Thrones notebook for my birthday and I can't wait to turn it into a reading journal.

I really like the pictures and the craft paper and how they warmed everything up, making it a cozy place. I would add some browns and grays too- but this is nice already.

I'm currently reading The Reading List. It will be a new favorite, more than 5 🌟 if I could.
Love the idea to add visual pictures in between spreads. So motivating!

I love the idea of using the stamps for the titles instead of writing. I have sucky handwriting but I wanted to make my journal look nice and pretty!! I’m definitely using that trick when I make mine!! Thank you!! Also you made a beautiful journal!
This was absolutely LOVELY, from each page decorated to each chosen photo & poem. Love the typeface stamps also! Well done! (I just keep my books read on a spreadsheet w/title, author & rating) LOL. As I read approx. 250 books per year, it would take me forever to create a reading journal, but LOVED this!

I just started using a B6 stalogy this year and it has become my favorite size. Not too big not too small.
Yes! I am beginning to love the larger B5 size as well :)☺️

I love your journal! And I actually do feel a bit inspired. But I feel like I should probably finish my Happy Planner bookish planner, and/or use one of the several reading journals I already own... Maybe... 😅
Haha, yeah! If you need a change of pace to keep up with it, just turn the page and “redo” it! Set it up a different way that makes you excited, and it will probably help with your motivation to continue it! Good luck☺️🤍
I’ve always kept track of the books I’ve read, but this is so great to have it nicely laid out. My favorite book is The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah. I couldn’t put it down. I hope you will read it some day.

I was casually updating my own reading journal and I heard you talk about delirium and was in shock, I love the trilogy and I haven't heard anyone speak about at all. I was so excited lol

I've a reader's block for the past three years (starting with the pandemics). After starting a reading journal I have read 600 pages since the beginning of August 2023 (today it's August 28th).
I love this setup for a reading journal! Especially the quotes and the pictures! Those are awesome! Where did you find the pictures and the library card?

I found the pictures on pinterest, and printed the book covers from google! the library card i got in a vintage paper card stack from my craft store.

I did a similar ordering mishap! I meant to get a B5 and got an A5. They’re so pretty though! I ended up just using 1 A5 as my planner bullet journal, and my other is my reading journal. I’m just happy someone else made a similar mistake - it makes me feel less goofy.
haha! i totally get that!! A5 is still a good size, but i find for my busy life i really enjoy the larger notebooks. 🤗🤍 and dont worry, im sure many similar mistakes will occur in the future haha 😂
Loved this keep going ❤️ my favorite trilogy is the winter witch trilogy. The first book being the Bear and the Nightingale. I think everybody should read it.

My books have really long titles. How do you get them to fit in those tiny boxes?
Good question! I usually abbreviate them by just putting the first letter of each word, or by using keywords that I’ll remember from that book. For example, if it is the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas, i would put “Narrative of FD” or something similar ☺️
I saw someone number the books and then had a master list next to the shelf
