I loved watching this! I realized last week that I don't think I read a single book all the way through last year because I just could not focus on anything thanks to all of the insanity of the world last year. So I set up a a goodreads page to track my books, but I'd rather use a notebook so I can take notes on what I've read. And I have a stack of books that I've bought since the beginning of the year and I'm pretty excited about it! Thanks for sharing your journal. I'd love to see more bookish content. :)
The journal you chose is lovely. I like the journal spreads. I could never do so many challenges (and keep so much data for a whole year), but I salute your energy. It's great you are so immersed in reading.
I'm using this video for ideas for my 2022 reading journal and just want to say, out of all the videos I've watched today (and there have been LOADS), yours is my favourite! So many ideas I hadn't considered and your design is so simple yet pretty! I love it!!
I love how practical this is! I've always kept a list of what I've read and when I read it, but I've been watching reading journal set-ups and getting super inspired to spruce that ol' thing up. Thanks for the video!
I usually keep my reading thoughts in with my regular bullet journal (as well as TV and movie thoughts), but I LOVE your brackets for Book of the Year! Absolutely using that this year!
So interesting to watch! I always appreciate how much work and thoughtfulness you put into the content you create and share. Your passion for reading and your interests is clear and infectious - I’d love to see more bookish content!
Thanks for the reading challenge recommendations. I may choose one or two of those since they appeal to me. I loved your planner layout and the planner itself. I almost chose that one. My dog got all excited when you knocked on the journal! :D
Im definitely making one of these for 2022! Glad im not the only one that feels the same way about audiobooks, i lose focus all the time when I am listening to one
Love the set up! I've been watching a lot of reading journal set up videos these past couple of months, and it's not something I've ever thought of before. I look forward to seeing more about your reading!
This video was soooo useful and interesting 😲😲😲 I am just starting to gather information/inspiration for my reading bullet journal... And I did not except to find these marvelous book recommendations : a year if wonder and a calendar of wisdom. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the ideas!! I already set up my 2021 reading journal, but I will definitely check out some of the challenges you mentioned! I love that idea and no one else I watched seemed to have anything like it!
Hey, I just ran across this and love your journal! I did notice a gem I hope you found. I enjoyed the Disney movie _Moonspinners_ so much as a girl. And my mom loved Mary Stewart when she was a girl, so she had me read it, and she was right - it was even better. Hope you read that one!
I adore your set up! I'm rubbish at bullet journaling, but I have a number of lists to track reading in my daily planner and use a spreadsheet for my stats.
Thank you for sharing! I read books but haven't thought of doing such an elaborate, well thought out tracker. It's clear you put some thought into it and have made me re-think my reading experience. Thank you for making me want to be more cultured and think outside the box a bit more.
Lovely set up! I really enjoyed the video. The product recommendations are great, but for those of us that don‘t like ordering from Amazon for various reasons, I would just like to mention that you should be able to get most, if not all, of these at your local stationary or art supply shop
I do track some reading in my bullet journal - it is in the front. I broke the Bible into 3 sections and placed it over three pages to capture my reading. I had some large books that I want to read so I broke down their content so I could track them. I did not give myself any room for commentary. i was looking at people's reading journals thinking I may move my spreads to a larger format so that I can comment and discuss on each section.
Oh my goodness these ideas are all amazing and your lettering is gorgeous! Going to try a few of these for 2022 but I wish I could write as nicely as you!
Hi! I just found your channel! I wish I read as much as you do. :) I read mostly audiobooks since it allows me to be doing something else at the same time. Always multi-tasking! I keep track of my audiobooks in my bullet journal... but its typically only a few books a month. 100 books a year would be a lovely goal! :)
Really inspirational video, thank you so much. I'm a voracious reader and this will really help me to chronicle what I've read over the course of the year, using some of your great trackers and thanks also for the links; I'm enjoying those too!
the best video of reading journal. In my case, I'll trying to be the best to have a cute rj and your video gives me so much inspiration and spread. Thanks you Mackenzie!
I loved this reading journal set-up. This video was very well organized too. Thanks for all the links & recommendations. If possible, could you go more in-depth on your through the arts devotions? It sounds really interesting.
i loved this journal set-up! your goals and challenges are so personalized. it actually got me excited to start working on my 2022 journal! i may have to steal a few ideas lol.
I have trouble sitting and listening to audio books and podcasts, but if I'm doing something else, it's usually better. I put them on when I cook, clean, exercise, colour, etc. If I'm not physically occupied, my mind just wanders.
I love this! I'm gathering ideas while waiting for a new reading journal to arrive and your video gave me so much inspiration. I also like the idea of creating spreads with black ink and leaving room to add color later. Thank you for sharing! Side note, tried to follow your Instagram but the link took me to what looked like an empty account.
These are great ideas. I have reading lists and backlogs that I am keeping track of in the most random ways. And I love the daily reading ideas. How are you accessing the music for the daily pieces? UA-cam?
Hi. I'm just watching this video today. I wonder - have you read Bambi? And, if so, what did you think of it? It's one of my favourite books. : ) Thanks for the video, btw, it's helping me plan my 2024 reading journal which I'm setting up right now.
Great video! So happy I found you. You mentioned the podcast "I'd Rather Be Reading" and I couldn't find it on my podcast app. Do you know where I can find it ?

Bonjour Mackenzie ☺️ I am french, and i am kinda touring bujo vids to start my first books bujo for 2022 !! anyway i wanted to let you know, if you're interested by french culture and history that Émile Zola did a great series about a French family during XIX°c France. It is called "Les Rougeons-Macquart". Younger, i had to read one book from the serie for school and i enjoyed it ! So this year i'll give me the challenge to read the whole thing haha I'm telling you about this because you might like it to explore French History, Zola being a really great writer and i've saw that it was really well translated (french version might be a little hard to understand for a learner, depends on the level but definitely still complicated for a native 😭👍🏻) Thanks for the video i loved it !!
Do you like BOTM? I'm wanting to sign up for something like that because I am having serious trouble with getting the books I want from my library. I'd rather not have to buy them but the wait lists are so long. Any suggestions would be appreciated 😊
Not sure if you still receive comment notifications from this video but I wanted to recommend a Disney non fiction book to you. I think you would enjoy it. It's titled: The Queens of Animation by Nathalia Holt. Loved this video!
I actually have that book! Haven’t read it yet but I’ve heard great things about it. I’ve been more interested in nonfiction lately, so I’ll bump it up on my TBR list! ☺️ Thanks so much for watching!
I absolutely love your hand lettering. 🥰 Also, it’d be cool to see flip-throughs of your past reading journals!
Yess!!!
Does anybody know the name of the font, so I could learn how to use it? 🙂
This is the best, most practical, and innovative reading journal design I come across so far! Brilliant work!
That little reading book cart cutout is super adorable!

This is amazing. What beautiful and functional spreads. Thanks so much for sharing.
thank you so much! 🤍
I counted 141 books on that one page so I think you’re good!
I'm using this video for ideas for my 2022 reading journal and just want to say, out of all the videos I've watched today (and there have been LOADS), yours is my favourite! So many ideas I hadn't considered and your design is so simple yet pretty! I love it!!
Also, glad I'm not the only one that can't focus on an audiobook. Wish I could but I just can't!
I love this!!! i'd love to see a new video like this every year and plan with me videos!!!!
Very nice set-up. I enjoyed your video and got some great ideas! Thanks!
Yes! I think reading vlogs are fun and set up videos (weekly set ups, monthly, etc.)
I love the book covers
I love how practical this is! I've always kept a list of what I've read and when I read it, but I've been watching reading journal set-ups and getting super inspired to spruce that ol' thing up. Thanks for the video!

I love the Journey through the Arts project. So cool and smart!
Love Amanda’s videos! She has such a soothing voice too.

Your BOTM spreads are so helpful! I'm so glad I watched this before I migrated my reading journal!
As soon as you said "y'all", I knew you had to be from Texas! Great to find a Texas bujo planner account.
Lovely set up! I really enjoyed the video.

Such great inspo! I’ve been wanting to do a reading journal but have been so hesitant.
I love this. Hoping to make my own reading journal soon.
Your handwriting 😍😍
In love with these page layouts!!
I wish I would’ve gotten more creative with mine this year.
68 on 1st page, 16 on small cut out page, 18 on back side of small cut out page, 39 on the other page. So like 141 books.
What is a backlist / frontlist book?
Will you show your finished 2020
i am copying this next year! this is my first year to journal and it is truly a hot mess. i like keeping it to books only
Love, love your videos! Did you hand draw the books, bookshelves and book cart? Amazing! You make me want to finally try some hand lettering :)
Fabulous 😍😍
Do you have any recommendations for other devotional books? Love the picks you suggested!!!
Thanks, you are very inspiring. Great ideas. How much time a day do you spend reading? Do you watch TV at all?
man, i used to read SO MUCH as a kid and now i can't remember like 90 percent of what i read. i so wish i had thought to do something like this then.
These are great ideas. I have reading lists and backlogs that I am keeping track of in the most random ways.
And I love the daily reading ideas. How are you accessing the music for the daily pieces? UA-cam?
I highly recommend Iran Awakening by Shirin Ebadi for your sumaiyya.books challenge. It's a memoir from a female judge in Iran and it's fantastic.
How did you put in the little pull out for the book cart?
I think she drew it on a page and cut out the page
Hi. I'm just watching this video today. I wonder - have you read Bambi? And, if so, what did you think of it? It's one of my favourite books. : )

you’ve got over 100 on your ‘books read’ spread :) plenty of space!!
You have 125 books on your fill in library page.
Great video! So happy I found you. You mentioned the podcast "I'd Rather Be Reading" and I couldn't find it on my podcast app. Do you know where I can find it ?
Could I get a list of your devotionals, I am interested in all of them
What are backlist/frontlist books?

How many hours do you dedicate to read every day?
I'm not artistic whatsoever. I use the Always Fully Booked reading planner so all the artistic stuff is done for me...lol
