Going to steal your idea for maps connecting every year! Love it! I draw maps for DnD and enjoy it so much and it would fit the idea of year as a jurnary. You are so talented!
You NEED to put these maps on your website, the fact that they connect is just brilliant. I need to buy them for my own journals. To have them at the end all opened up and connected into one large map would be so satisfying to see. You are so talented and I am happy for you that you got your work published! Thank you for sharing and your journals are inspiring. I am doing one for myself for the first time this year.
I just got my first book journal for 2025! I'm so excited to fill it out over the year and now I've been watching all these people creating beautiful journals and I'm inspired to keep up with mine and create my own for next year! I think this year will be a good test to see what kinds of spreads I like and what works best for me. Love your journal, it's awesome!
Speaking to your question about how I keep up with new releases...I use my future log to track when books are coming out. For instance, each time I learn a new book is coming, I write it in my future log, under that month, with the release date, title, & author. And halfway through the year I start a new spread for books that are coming in the following year so I can pre-load my future log for the coming year. I hope that makes sense.
You have the coolest job ever! Always love seeing your journal set ups. I think the maps connecting every year is genius! I also went for an ocean view in my shelfy spread, but didn’t have a pirate ship sticker. It screams adventure!
You are so creative and such a great drawer. You even inspired me to copy the idea of one of your pages (the 100 blocks and use a different color for each month). 👍🏻😊💛
I love the Maps connecting!! That is such a fun touch to have on each of your notebooks. I can't wait to get back into journaling and get my journal set up for next year!
I love your journal layout, and am jealous of your map making skills!! This year will be my 3rd dedicated book bujo year, and I am so excited to sit down and finish all of my beginning of the year spreads.
I was going to do a reading journal but gave up and this inspired me to retry it! I attempted one this year and stopped halfway through the year but that’s also the longest I’ve ever done one so maybe I can do it the entire year next year!
I'm literally rewatching this video for the 3rd time. I really love your style, probably will use some spreads for my reading journal as well. The font looks amazing and the map is stunning and connecting them. Can't wait to see what it will become! Just wanted to let you know that in the ATLA novel series there 5 out and one more coming in 2025. Kyoshi, Yangchen and the newest ones are Roku's story. The one out is called The Reckoning of Roku, the one coming next year is gonna be The Awakening of Roku.
@@cassandralynnreads No, the 6th one called: The Awakening of Roku is coming this year (according to Google). After that I don't know if there'll be more.
your journal is gorgeous! thank you so much for actually filming yourself cutting the dutch doors. I want to do one in my reading journal for 2025 but I am really nervous and I haven't seen any videos of people actually doing the cutting so this was amazing to see.
I am on my 3rd year of journaling and have been slowly trying to transition over to a more data based journal set up! This video was so incredibly helpful! Loved it♥️♥️
Project Haily Mary is a must it is so much fun! I read it as an ebook and most everyone else in the book club had it as an audiobook and it sounds like I missed out by not getting the audiobook. They Love it so much.
For new releases, I go to Barnes & Noble’s website and they have a page for new releases by month. If you go there now, you can see all of the titles that they have listed for next year. Some books don’t release their dates until later, so I would just check back every couple of months to see if it’s updated with any new titles.
In love love looove with your journal setting! You must've spent like, I don't know, maybe 18 hours on it?? So stunning! I also have Project Hail Mary in my 2025 TBR 🧑🏼🚀
This is such a beautiful setup (and SO fun that your title page maps connect!!)! Shoutout to Apothecary Diaries my beloved 💖 If you're a stats girlie and haven't gotten onto StoryGraph, you DEFINITELY should. SO satisfying, and you can see stats on all sorts of stuff including custom tags (I tag based on where I source my books, but I know other people use them for tropes, etc...). Super easy to import your Goodreads library, so you can look at historical data too! Anyways, this has definitely inspired me to acquire some map washi! Love it! ✨
@cassandralynnreads I was the same - I've done Goodreads since 2015. I still update both, actually, but I think the stats features for StoryGraph are just so interesting that it was worth it for me to import my library and update on both. I totally get that not everyone has the time/interest to double track, though (triple, if you count physical reading journal, lol!)
I thought about getting this EXACT journal, and now seeing it, it's even more gorgeous than I thought and maybe this is the year i actually commit hahaha
Recommendation💁🏻♀✨ Read "Project Hail Mary" doing the dual method (physical copy or ebook + audiobook). The audiobook is SO GOOD! Like, crazy good🙌🏻. For me the book had way too much science and I could easily have been bored, but the audiobook was my MVP during that reading 😆❤
