- In this video, Sherri shares a free scrappy half-square triangle quilt pattern that she will work on over the next twelve weeks. This pattern is a re-release of her 2019 mystery block of the month quilt. Due to an overabundance of half-square triangles in her stash, she has decided to remake this fun quilt in a different size and will release free PDF block instructions on her blog over the next 12 weeks. I think there is a real art to getting a scrappy quilt pleasing to the eye. I tried one once and after a couple of blocks didn’t like what I had done. BUT you are the Queen of Scrappy and I think it’s time for me to get on the band wagon. Wish me luck, but I’m pretty confident this one will be a winner for me. Thanks so much for your generosity yet again with this pattern
Oh how wonderful! I also have a bin of HSTs sewn from my cutoffs. (I sew them together immediately after cutting so I don't have a cubic ton of pesky little triangles to re-match up.) They are tiny, but I thought they eventually could make a sweet little crib quilt or throw. Setting them block-by-block style will go a long way towards that goal. I'm in!

From several projects I have a growing bin of HST cutoffs also. Most of them are 1 1/2 “ unfinished. I have been thinking these would make cute mug rugs, potholders or such. This will be a great project. This original scrap quilt is so fun and colorful. Thank you for sharing these block patterns.
Oh I hope you get to do a king size quilt. I rarely see people demonstrating a King size blanket ( usually a lap …& then I have to figure it out on my own). Thank you for sharing these blocks, I am excited about this project.💕

Yay! I’ve been hoping someone would come up with something to make with all our left over half square triangles. Like everyone else I have so many. I do sew them together right after cutting so should be able to keep up with making the blocks!

I have a batch of 1-1/2 inch HST - I think I will use this to use them up. It might make a sweet baby quilt. The blocks will come out at about 5" I think. Should be fun!
