      A 00 is not a parlor.
Parlor Martins are 5, 2, and 1 series, ie those smaller than a 0 series

sounds unreal. nothing like an old Martin, usually doesn't matter what model. I have a '32 1-17 that was their bargain-basement model at the time...solid mahogany all sides but sounds so great. they really built 'em, that company.

Mukund Ragunathan Great question! Martin's of this era have the logo on the back of the headstock. It wasn't until the '30s that Martin switched to having the classic logo on the top of the headstock.

What kind of strings do you use on that 00-28?- I have a 1958 0- 18 and my strings are kind of buzzy. I am using Martin Light Bronze. Any recommendations. I play and teach music every day. Performed for over 60 years. But I can no longer find strings.

Assembly line guitars late made by 25 workers as opposed to a few or single even making the entire guitar back in 1939. That's why vintage were better than anything sfter 1950. Not the wood used back then, not hide glue, not torrified tops. A different builder makes the sides than the top, etc. Thats significant parts ofntge guitar that need to vibrate in unison. A knowledgeable one person crafter could make it siund well, like Lloyd Loar. If you have one Luther making instrument is better. What you are buying is a judge podge of different workers who are crafting individual pieces that turn them fornuse down the line like the guitar neck. Problem is that if the overall tester can't craft the neck so it vibrates well with the rest if the body, but has to use the part. Whereas a Luthier can just pit the neck on the bidy, play the strings and if not right, shave the neck down more or even make it thicker, whatever he needs to do to make the instrument function well as a while. It can't be done with varying levels of experience with different people making unchangeable parts with no early to adjust them significantly. If a new neck builder comes in and makes it too thin or not compatible with making good vibrational sounds, the body man has to join that neck and keep the line moving. What you get is a Powerball lottery.

Man that is a gorgeous guitar. I hope I sound that good when I' eighty-five, LOL!
Have y'all sold it yet? I'm not in a position to puchase it, but out of curiosity what does one that age/condition appraise for? or sell for?
    Thanks for posting the video!

I have this same model and year of guitar that is in much better condition passed down from my great grandfather. It has everything original on it but also has a pick guard. I'm trying to figure out an estimated value for insurance purposes. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

It would be awesome if you would continue to pass it down for generations to come.

Nice playing, but when you're showing a guitar I want to hear up the neck so I can hear the intonation - is it on or does it start sounding off?
