There’s something about fishing in the calm after the storm after getting drenched and knowing the action will be nuts that just feels good. Such a great video.
Great video...When I was 12 , I fished at the Polynesian Village ...guy said hey " you can't fish here, go fish the golf course" ...im 54 now..and still say .." guy told me I can fish here "
That looked like you had fun. I'm glad you guys didn't get hit by lightning. We were lucky enough to be in Disney World when hurricane Andrew went through and they made us get out of the pool. We weren't afraid to know lightnin' !
Local Orlando resident here 👋🏼My family use to sneak into Disney in the 90s and early 2000s to fish. There are some ponds and lakes there that have more 5-10 lb bass than I’ve ever seen or caught. It’s insane, problem is they are insanely strict and have trail cams everywhere out there around the properties.
Drugs built most of Florida's infrastructure in the 70's-80's and to this day. Drug Cocaine money 💰 established legit profitable 📈 businesses. I saw it on a documentary
Local here- this is the slowest time of year for Bass, theyre few and far between like you experienced. There are 1000's of ponds like the ones you fished all over orlando. The wildlife is surprisingly real! Check out the shingle creek corridor some time
Years ago as a kid we used to camp at Ft. Wilderness and would rent golf carts. There was a spot where you could sneak off on to a back road and then we would lift the cart over some railroad tracks. Once we were over the track we had access to miles of creeks and ponds and would catch fish like crazy. We were only caught driving out of that back road once and all that happened was an employee told us we weren't supposed to be back there. That was back before the high security days so it wasn't a big deal to anyone and it also didn't stop us.
I’ve been working in that 3 story house at 15:14 on and off for over a year now. So crazy to see you there! I’m a home cinema designer and calibrator. We build home cinemas, golf simulators, whole home automation and just about everything in between. The neighborhood you see is the highest tier, Four Seasons at Golden Oak. Meeting the owners and finding out what they do is always interesting. Hope you enjoyed your visit 🤙🏼 Edit: Let me know when you’re ready for a home cinema or media room 😅
Home cinema is an absolute dream of mine. We had one in the old Googan house and I absolutely miss it. Caleb and I were super curious of the square footage of those homes too. They are absolutely monstrous
This is a more sophisticated method of what my friend and I do, instead of going to Disney though we go to our local golf course to fish for catfish and small tilapia species by sneaking through a hole in the fence
On the back side of the canal in the beginning of the video if you went across the spillway and down the canal there's a path through the woods that connects to a golf course. It opens up to a big pond full of big bass
so sad to leave this wonderful channel , ill miss the content so much , but basically ill be living on the street from tommorow , with no money no phone , i have no close relatives , sisters or brothers , couldt pay rent , went too much in dept , JON , YOU MADE MY LIFE BETTER WITH EVERY VIDEO FOR YEARS !! just wanted to say thank you , but i guess my life is over , it was hard all my life but you made it easier . GOODBYE ! :( much love! And the least i can do is like and fav for the last time 😭😭
I found him today! I just subscribed because I just got started with fishing after a ten year hiatus. Glad to finally be back into it again I just bought a boat and a bunch of gear
Back in the 90s I did the same thing staying at four Wilderness and bass fishing everywhere. There's a golf course on the back side of Fort Wilderness that I also caught a lot of bass on which we were not supposed to be fishing.
So much fun, nice work and great vid! One year at the Yacht Club resort I saw MASSIVE fish hanging out by the docks. Security was pretty tight and no fishing signs were on the dock.....I hid an old rod and reel under one of the main docks leading out to the boats, sort of wedging it so it was secured under the dock pilings. The rod was crap so if someone took it I didn't care. I left it rigged with a big hook and then next morning snuck down with some hot dogs for bait. Caught at three 4 monster bass before security politely asked me to leave. Might be worth a shot to try yourself!
Glad to see that one of the original googans still doing the content that got to where he is today, he didn’t get a big head about it like the others, ex. Lunkers and yes there’s more that can be named. Kp it getting 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I grew up in Kissimmee, I used to do the same thing. There is a really nice lake in Disney Village, It’s totally manicured and surrounded by townhomes. You can get access to the whole thing. I caught a 9 pounder and my buddy caught a 12 pound 14 oz. We used to fish there every Sunday morning. As long as we looked like tourists we never had any problems. You should check it out.
Back in the early 90s when Disney still had those cable cars, snuck in on my friend's employee card and smoked a joint on those cable cars. Security was waiting at the end of the ride, but the joint was long done.
You are the best Jon! I think you should make a video on how to fish different bates. I think it would gain a lot of views from people who are new to fishing since you have such a big following
The golf courses are the best for bass fishing. If you are ever down in South Florida go and fish Eagle Trace Country Club. It’s hard to get in you have to do a sneak job if you don’t know anyone to get you in. It’s definitely worth it though, one of the best fisheries I’ve ever fished. Caught my PB large mouth of 10.6lbs. Dig the channel! Have a great one!🤙
Stumped on this video when I realized I’ve seen that face a million times before just many moons ago..fishing the Midwest was one of my favorite channels when I was younger learning the ropes of the water. Glad to see you doing well Jon.
I used to take a fishing pole to work with me every day . Show up an hour early and catch / release decent sized bass . My favorite was a frog imitation on 10lb just before light .
If you go ninja style at night you can go a lot of places that disney would never think to look. We camped a lot at Ft Wilderness and we'd get blacked out and sneak around to fish.
Still remember the day I got you to respond to me on Twitter. Thanks for being a part of my child hood. Had a account executive interview this morning, it’s funny how things change lol. Grown up and still enjoying.
I love to fish. Florida has some of the best fishing. But once you see a 10 ft gator in 2 ft of water about 4 ft from you. That's when you really start to second guess if that's where you wanna fish. 😂❤
I got married at Disney 18 years ago and we stayed at the yacht club. Since I already have a kid I spent my wedding night fishing and got kicked off on the boardwalk 3 times before they just left me alone. But I caught about 30 bass.
You were right around the corner from Hog heaven…the boat trolley location/marina was right around the corner where you first started…loaded with 5-10 pounders…bass charters start there… I had a captain invite me on his boat, while docked to take a few cast off the end, and landed a couple of tanks
The best fishing you can do no matter what kind of bait they gonna hit your line the only down fall is security is gonna run you away I enjoyed fishing around Disney
Love the vids. Disneys Yatch and Beach Club offers fishing off of a pontoon boat with a “captain/guide” not sure the details but it’s the lake/canals that connects boardwalk epcot and hollywood studios.
Back in the day (80’s) we would stay at Ft Wilderness park. They were trailers before cabins and we used the fish the canals throughout the park. Biggest one caught was a 10.2 by my dad on a jig and pig.
Getting off work and putting on a new episode of Jon B let’s gooooooo !

Yo that security lady was so chill.. you can tell she doesn’t want to have to do that at all. What a nice lady.
the inverse of a Karen cool gal
I was gonna say the same. Told them the rules then exactly where she knows people have been catching what they are looking for.
