I've been wrestling with a new build: Ryzen 3 5300GE, Asrock A520 mATX mobo, 32GB DDR4-3600, 1TB M.2. It doesn't want to install Win 11 23h2 or 24h2 even after returning the drive and getting a different one (returned a WD for a PNY at Walmart). Apparently the missing cache thing is a real problem on these drives and Win 11 is like, nope, gonna crash the installer now. Bazzite and Lubuntu went on with no issue.
any difference between this RX 6500 and any of the RX 6400 LP ? I've got a fairly new optiplex sff computer and was thinking of doing the same thing and have it in the living room for some co-op gaming but not sure which GPU to go for.
Hi mate your videos are very inspiring for all the community of modders, I love to see every video about case mods and SFF PCs, I have one HP SFF with a I5 6500 just thinking what's the best option for a GPU.. 1080p games gonna be enough for me... Cheers mate and thank you for very nice videos
As for bazzite os, this Linux distribution cannot be run on all PCs, as there were memory problems during installation and this os takes a very long time to install, unlike Windows. A test PC is on which I tried to install this OS, this is my old PC on an ASUS P8h61-i motherboard with an i7 3770 cpu.
Hi there! It's not too difficult to install Windows 11 on unsupported PCs. There are various guides and methods available to help users with the process. I've posted a video about setting up a Linux gaming PC for those interested in running Linux on their old PCs for gaming. It's a great alternative for those wanting to explore new possibilities. I've also shared videos on upgrading old PCs for gaming and running Windows OS. Trying a Linux OS can be an interesting experiment to see how it differs from Windows. I've covered the topic of installing Windows 11 on old PCs in previous videos. This new video focuses on running a Linux OS on an old PC for variety and to explore new options. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Do these Xeon coolers fit on the versions that come with an i5 from the factory? I've been trying to figure out a better option for a CPU cooler in these, though I have a newer one with a 12th gen in (3260). I'm not sure if you've messed around with the 3260 era, but if anyone would know/have clever solutions to CPU cooler upgrades, it's you.
Great video and great to see another system saved from landfill as Microsoft 'decides' it is 'not suitable' for Windows 11. How do you get the fps overlay on the games?
For non-ECC RAM with the i7-7700K, I installed it as you suggested, and it worked fine. However, when I changed the CPU back to its original Xeon and installed the ECC RAM in the white slots (1 and 2), a yellow light blinks on the power button LED.
Would you consider adding marvel rivals as a game to test too? It’s a free game and really popular atm. Would love to see if it would work on these older systems
Sorry, I don't have knowledge about that. Let me research and get back to you later. All I know is that the adapter supports HDMI 2.0, which is the same as the monitor. HDMI 2.0 supports 1080p at 240Hz and 4K at 60Hz 8-bit. This monitor is only 1080p at 180Hz, so I don't think there's anything to lose.
It is a Steam Proton and Vulkan problem for some games only. As you can see, it happens with Resident Evil 4 only, while other games show the GPU load at a full 40W. It's a Dell RX6500, not a standard RX6500 XT. Thank you.
Hey itg gear. For your lenovo m90q vodeo you 3d printed that case with a screen. you shared the stl file can you share the step file so it can be edited? Otherwose you have to try to remesh it and that doesnt always work. Id really appreciate it. Ive taken a lot of inspiration from your videos and im not really good at 3d design. Lol. Itd help a lot
I have a SketchUp file, but it cannot be exported as a STEP file in SketchUp. However, it can be exported as an AutoCAD file, such as a DWG file. Does your CAD application support AutoCAD files?
"In my opinion, I think it should work. However, I can't confirm compatibility with any model other than the one in this video since I haven't tried it yet. Thank you
H was the title a typo was it a rx 6400.. I can not seem to find an rx 6500 that does not require external power do you have a link cause now I want one!!!
@@itggear Not the same thing since Windows and Bazzite are 2 different OS, and performance is not the same and i know because i use Windows and Bazzite with my mini PC that is using a 6900HX and gaming on both sides are not the same performance.
these times are over, only issues are now with devs not supporting linux bc they won't add the anti-cheat support for linux (bc linux is such a high grade hacker OS /s)
That's some impressive performance, First time I've heard about Linux Bazzite too, Great little machine. :)
I've been a Linux Mint user for years and am considering Bazzite on a seperate SSD just to keep my options open.

File for LP bracket?
I've just updated the link in the video description. Thank you.

It seems slightly different, and while I can't tell with the naked eye, the RX 6500 does have more cores than the RX 6400.

Memory does not work in dual channel. Swap from bank 3 to bank 2.
It won't boot for me.
@itggear The system does not start or the entire computer does not start after being turned on (only the power button lights up)?

Hello everyone. Please someone tell me - size of screw for M.2....I have same Dell SFF. Thank you
You should have included what ISO type
Please review that cool CPU cooler 😁
I got the same Gpu but with i5 7500, 8gb ram and 80-85° in gpu is crazy 😭

I dont get how your gpu is getting enough power. That slot only supplies 25w and the 6500 requires 75w

I use fusion 360. I'm pretty sure it can support Autocad dwg files.
So intel CPU's work with Bazzite now ? I could have sworn you had to run AMD CPU and GPU for steam os
bazzite is just linux at its core, so intel with amd gpu would be the most supported.

Dell RX 6500
Pretty sure if you were using a system that had PCIe 4.0 support that the performance might have been even better.
It seem not too different. Please check this video: ua-cam.com/video/lmXsJdm3eq0/v-deo.html

I thought Microsoft is dropping tpm requirement for win11?
I think he is about 6th gen Intel. But He can upgrade to 7th gen and meet requirements of Win11. I think it's more about Linux to hype 😂
@axescar yeah but ngl it's easy to bypass it these days
@@reyzafany1992 what is NGL?
