At the invitation of their friend Rolf Bouman who is the founder of Friends United, Hereditary Mi’kmaq Chief Stephen Augustine and retired Senator the Honorable Dan Christmas are coming together with television host Nancy Regan for an insightful and spiritual conversation at the second annual Friends United reconciliation talks.
Dan Christmas and Stephen Augustine share experiences from their childhood and families, this especially being the case with regard to Dan Christmas’ late wife Dozay, who was part of the Friends United Initiative and whose paintings can be seen in the background and throughout the whole Friends United International Convention Centre. Both explain the Mi’kmaq creation stories to Nancy Regan and are also discussing their friendship with the Friends United Initiative. They also touch on the pope’s visit and his apology to Indigenous people.
