As of today 5/7/23, Little river Spring on the Suwannee river now costs $5. Too many people trashing the place, sketchy characters so I heard, etc. (I picked up several handfuls of trash when I went, and there's Plenty of trash cans). I love the Suwannee way way more than most, and I'm thru the roof overall about this decision :)
Thank you for the heads up. Not a bad call by any means! 🙏🙏🙏
Looks where it's located. White trash heaven.
If it costs $5 to keep a place like that open and available for us to visit, then I'm good with it.
@@charlesboyer61 Right! 🩵🩵🩵
Hello, I just went there today and I was so surprised at the cost and sheriff deputy's presences.
I see this as an over reaction and militant prison like solution. I can think of many other solutions not involving police presence at at recreation nature site.
I am always happy to pick up trash. You should see the trash people(?) leave on the miami beaches.
Government charging $5. it went from free (taxes) to $5. Government always increases fees, never does it decrease or elimination revenue(highway robbery).
I can see charges changing according to number of people vs per car. Oh yes, the senior discount will be added. Then you have to show your ID to the deputy like you are a suspect.
Now there is an entrance booth with new rules. Do deputies and the sheriff know rules are Not Laws.
It felt uneasy, like we were being watched. It seems overdone, a deputy who is paid high bucks babysitting a Spring recreations site.
I would ask was someone murdered there? Oh this is over some drinking, trash, loud music and rude behaviors? I will ask exactly what happened and why the extreme response.
I do not like this at all.
I'm always picking up trash when I go to the river or camping I always think it's sad how many people leave trash
Thank you for picking up trash! It sucks that some people just don’t care. 🙏
People are pigs.
It seems to be getting worse all over the US. In my recent travels, I picked up trash and I could not believe how truckers would throw bottles containing urine and other trash on the ground into bushes and trees When there is a huge dumpster bin right next to their dumping grounds.
Take of of Mother Earth.
I have a 16’ Old Town Canoe that can fit me my gf and the kids and we always fill about two full black trash bags of trash while out paddling granted homeless camps line the rivers here in Jacksonville, but even in like rural central Florida, I’ll find so much trash. It’s wild how people don’t care that’s gonna end up sitting there n just the look of trash lining nature alone should make people want to not do that.
Me too. In much of the southeast, America the beautiful is being trashed extensively. It’s refreshing to escape to the Rockies, where many places are still pristine & residents respect the beautiful scenery. In my rural area there’s tires, couches, diapers, etc in the local creeks and rivers.
@@jacobmcvay123people who are ok living and recreating in their own garbage have always baffled me.
I clicked on this video because I live in Florida and love going to the springs with my kids. What are the chances that I would see my daughter in one of your videos about Rock Springs? She was ecstatic when I showed her. I love the editing of your videos and will subscribe.
That’s awesome thank you!

Excellent commentary and visuals as well as pertinent tips and information. Moving to SW Florida next year, and want to explore the whole state! Subscribing!
Thank you so much! You will love it!
So glad you included Mud Spring! I have kayaked to it and also hiked to it, and it was great each time. There were a ton of gators along the St. Johns River in that area and along the tributary leading up to the spring (the spring is set apart by an earthen wall, so no worries about gators getting in the spring itself, of course). Thanks for the great reviews!
Thank you 🙏 Yes Mud is great. I want to kayak next time because there are a couple hidden gems in the area that I must see 👀
Thanks about telling us about the earthen walls. I want to visit Mud springs soon.
Tons of helpful info here! Has given me some ideas of where to visit!
I love this!!!
Thank you so much for your informative video. I've been trying to visit all the springs I. Florida. I have properties near DeLeon Springs and Blues Springs area and always looking for more springs to explore.
So many amazing springs out there! Happy to help 🙏
Was there on 1970 or so and loved it. Remember tubing, and the water being so cold
Love it!
Well looks like I found a couple springs to visit this summer 😎 thanks for the video guys!

I love your video! I went to FIU and I traveled a bit all over Florida. I moved back to Texas after college, but I absolutely miss Florida. Now I have these springs to look forward to exploring.
Great video!!🎉
Thank you so much!!! 😊
Kelley spring was beautiful when we were there in January. Plenty of people were swimming and we were regretting not bringing our swim gear.
You’ll have to come back! Always feels cold at first. Then it feels amazing!
You have a very good voice for doing this kind of thing, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!
Thanks great descriptions and views

Love it! Have fun out there!
I am definitely going back to Florida to visit springs like these. First time was to go to Disney but I would rather play in the water over a theme park any day!
Oddly enough, I live in SW PA and I know of a place up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere that looks just like these springs. Lined with super fine white sand, crystal clear blue water, and you can see the bottom boiling and bubbles coming up from the natural springs. The difference? It's as cold as ice!!!
Way better than theme parks!!! I would love to check out your spot in PA! Sounds amazing!
I have seen water always to the front gate at little Rivers spring during the springtime
.
Just got back today from spending $ 25 for two of us to go into Alexander Springs. Look I do not mind paying to keep parks/springs in good condition but that was way too much for an hour or two of swimming. I am headed to Rock Springs next week. Thx for the video.
Yes… the springs managed by Adventure Ocala (Alexander, Silver Glen and Juniper) are very pricey. I just always tell myself “Still way cheaper than Disney!” But I totally agree. Especially when you have so many that are $6 or less. 😳 I do love them all tho! 🩵 Thank you for watching 💯
Such great context

Nice video. We went to Welaka and it is beautiful. We saw a rattlesnake on the path.
🐍 👀 Woaaaa. Rattlesnakes freak me out. But I’m glad u had a good time at the spring. I love them so much. Thank you for watching 💙
Beautiful
I just went to Royal Spring around mid-July. AMAZING! The water was cloudy so I couldn't snorkel much, but the platform jump was awesome! I jumped about 10 times. I saw a ton of scuba divers there. Several people chilling on the sand. Great vibes. Also, I don't think you can do the jump from that tree anymore. I think the county took away some of the pegs to climb it. I inspected the tree and determined it would be impossible for me to climb. Great park though. You would never know it was there if you weren't looking for it!
Thank you! Yes the pegs are gone, but people do still jump. I was there a couple weeks ago and a guy walked right past security, climbed the tree, jumped and then left. We were all like woaaaaaa. It’s crazy every time I see it 😳
@@artofadventurepascalemo wow that dude is brave for climbing that tree! I would never

How about Jackson Blue Springs... in Marianna? I grew up in the panhandle... love some of the ones you shared.
Yes! Jackson Blue is great. I haven’t featured in a video yet but I should. I actually enjoy kayaking in. I put in at Cave Adventurers dive shop right on Merritt Mill Pond. Then paddle in. Beautiful spot. Plus lots of cool springs along the kayak run like Shangri La and Gator Hole 🙌
Looks fun

Cant forget the Nature Coast, Cedar Key, Florida!

I’m from out of state and visit the springs more than the beaches I love the temperature of the water and the beautiful surroundings 👍

And no seaweed.
What’s your fav spring?
Lithia Springs in Brandon,Florida just east of tampa! a well kept secret! great for kids! 😊
I went once during Covid. They would let you in the park but not in the water. I definitely need to go back!
This past Sunday at the Royal Springs
I saw a man climb that tree and jump into the Springs.
A very high jump.
Yikes!

Mud Springs was awesome, thanks for the info. #52Fridays
Awesome! Glad you liked it!
Is it easy to find? Can you give me directions. coming from Miami.
There is way more than 1200ft of passage. Main passage is more than twice that plus several side tunnels actually. Max depth is around 120ft or so. I love this cave dive!
So cool! I’m cavern, but not cave certified. Thinking about going all in tho. I love it down there 🤿🤙 Thanks for the info too!
Just found you ! AWESOOOOOOME video… could you tell us please if there are bathroom facilities at these springs? Thanks in advance.
Yes! There are only Portapotties at Royal tho. Thank you for watching 🫶
Stevia? From the stevia plant, similar to the one I have in my backyard? I thought this was natural , and very different from chemical sweeteners like aspartame , saccharine or we xilitol. This is a big shock for me. Please elaborate on this. Your videos are awesome.
.
Well mannered dogs are welcome to swim at Mud Springs :) Just be courteous if others are there. We’ve never had an issue. Also, getting in and out of the water is a bit difficult for most dogs so be prepared to assist them.
🙏
Little river charges now. Thanks!
Oh wow. Good to know. 🙏
Thank you for this video! What about shark tooth digging in rivers?😊😊❤✌🏾✌🏼✌️✌🏿
Yes!!! If you take a look at either my “giant shark teeth” video or “swimming with horses” I add a bonus adventure from my day with Fossil Funatics! They are awesome. I found like 120 teeth in one day!!!!
I love your content, may I ask what you use to film?
Thank you! GoPro 9s, iPhone 11 and dji mavic 2 pro for drone 📸
Beautiful!!! Just worried about🐊🐊🐊
It’s Florida and it’s freshwater. So they are definitely around. But it is pretty rare to see them right at the spring head especially when there are quite a few people at the spring head. If you stay off the banks of the river and out of the darker water, you shouldn’t worry!
@Art of Adventure with Pascale and Mo thank you for the info! Next time I visit Florida I would love to visit! Coming from Phoenix Arizona🌵🌞
@@jorgearobles1737 come on down 💙
Have you ever checked out Lithia Springs,a County Park near Tampa?
Yes I have. It’s ok IMO. Decent swim area but not a lot to it.
Yeah that one's just Ok compared to North FL ones. Also lots of people don't know the Hillsborough river in Sulphur springs tampa area has a few. Mostly small ones. Sulphur spring is surrounded by concrete and dark, but has a nice looking spring run. Lowry park east of the zoo had a somewhat sizeable one but smells like Sulphur and pretty sure can't swim in it. Also hope springs (no parking there tho) and apparently Patterson street park also has a small one. Can't swim in any of them I think, and wouldn't recommend driving far to reach them, but still
What is the gator situation? I consider Florida and Louisiana water as no swim zones.
Well yes. Fresh water and gators do tend to mix. But generally the spring head is pretty safe. There tends to be enough going on (kids laughing, playing etc) the gators stay closer to the banks in the darker water spots. You catch ‘em sunning on logs etc. They don’t really want anything to do with us. If it’s a big concern there are spots like De Leon (check my recent video) that have concrete barriers/walkways that surround the spring head. Every morning, park rangers steer any unwanted guests away. De Leon or Wekiwa would be worth checking out (I’ve done videos on both if u want to check em out). Thank you for watching!
any places with cabins, for the weekend, any RV
parking?? 😊
Check Salt Springs. It’s the only spring in the Ocala National Forest with RV camping! Take a peek at our video on Salt. It’s really great!
Mud Springs directions are: The spring forms the head of Mud Creek, with the discharge flowing down a meandering run toward the southwest for about 1 mile to Little Lake George.
I don't know the area. Do I gps to Little Lake George? And where do I go from there? Is it easy to find? Signs, roads, landmarks? thank you in advance for your help.
From Palatka, follow US 17 south to Satsuma. Turn right onto CR 309 and follow the brown signs through Satsuma and Palatka. Look for the Mud Spring trailhead on the right, across from the visitor center and park headquarters.
@@artofadventurepascalemo thank You 🙏 what speedy replies you do!
Blow’en up the spot
Nahhhh. I have faith. 💙
Hey! Could you tell me where to park for Mud Springs? And how’s the walk out there? We have kids! Ages 7 and 9. Will they hate us!? 😂. It looks amazing!!
You can park at the Mud Spring Trail head at Welaka State Forest. It’s right off CR 309. It’s about a mile walk. But it’s super chill walk. Only a few rooty sections as you get closer to the spring. I highly recommend. I don’t think the kids will hate you haha. Bring bug spray tho!
@@artofadventurepascalemo oh gosh! Thanks for the quick reply! We love finding the not so crowded tourist spots! We usually find them geocaching. 🫣. We’re coming down next week from MN and I think I’m going to add this to our list of adventures! Thanks so much for the video and your reply!! I can’t wait!
How do you tolerate the water in cold cold January?
It feels warm in the winter! 💙💙💙
At 6:20, is this a ladder or something that he used to get up there? I would do that if I knew I could get up there safely lol.
There are some pegs hammered into the tree. It looked pretty sketchy to me. I wouldn’t exactly call it safe 😅 But I saw a few guys do it several times with no problems. BE CAREFUL!
You mentioned high and low tides at Little River Springs; is the water salty?
No I misspoke. That’s the surfer in me (always thinking it’s tidal). The water levels are due to flooding etc. It’s fresh water.
I figured, since the Swanee River feeds into the Gulf of Mexico, that's what caused the tides, but then the springs keep the water fresh. 👍🏼
what time of year was it at Little River in this video?
Hi! Some of the video was taken in summer and some in the fall. Heads up, since I published this video, Little River started charging $5 per carload.
El frio es lo menos q preocupa, los cocodrilos si...
No crocs in Florida. There are alligators, but they don’t tend to swim or hang near the spring heads.
Instead of lining up for Rock Springs at dawn, go at 4pm and enjoy it for 2-3 hours with no wait!
FACTS 🙌
What camera do you use?
Hi! I use a combo of GoPro 11 and GoPro 9s. I shoot in 4k. The drones are a DJI Mavic 2 Pro and a DJI Air 2S. Hope that helps 🙌
Any issues with Croco-gators?
It’s Florida and freshwater, so the alligators are around. But it’s pretty rare to see them right at the spring head. If you stay off the banks of the river and out of the darker water, you’ll be cool!
Are there 🐊 around those water?? I’ve never been to Florida but I’ve Florida has lots of crocs..
No crocs. There are some gators. But they don’t like to be near people. If you stick to the spring and stay off the banks, you should be just fine. Enjoy!
your husband is the best!
🙏❤️🙏
I hate when people trash beautiful places. How often do yo get gators at the 2 dollar ($5 now) spring?
Mud Spring? The gators are definitely around. The darker water towards the spring run can make you feel a little uneasy. The spring itself is pretty small so you should be able to eyeball it. Good luck!
Hi
Are there any Free Springs near Miami?
Are there any Springs that have a fountain to collect spring water?
Do you have an email address to directly ask you questions?
Thank You 🙏
Hi. Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately there are not many springs as far south as Miami. Orlando/Ocala area is probably the closest. The state parks in those areas are not free, but they are pretty cheap (usually $5 or $6 per car). I hope that helps. Feel free to ask me questions in the comments or you can email at pascalehead@mac.com. 🙏💙
NO RESTROOMS ? were a buncha old Fossil Farts . IS their any handy cap ramps and such >
Which spring are you curious about?
I'm just wondering 🤔 do you have to worry about alligators? In places like this?
It’s Florida so they are always around. But you shouldn’t have to worry about it if you don’t go in weird wooded/ marshy areas. There are usually enough people around they don’t come near.
When is a good time to go
The springs in Florida are always 72 degrees. The springs get very busy in the summer. My favorite times to visit are the months in between Labor Day and Spring Break. Mid-week is always less crowded than the weekends. Have fun! Let me know if I can help with anything else 🙌
U should enjoy water everyday keeps blood pressure down and u should have known this drink the water. It's filled with vitamins and minerals the algae is very healthy too. In away it is the fountain of youth I should've drank more water.
Definitely the Fountain of Youth 💙
I'm a California native but as I get older florida is looking better and better, cold water beaches, crazy inflation, we don't have this in California
Come check us out! The springs are so special! 💙
Just know how to vote when you come.
@321gates yeah that's why california is trash , damn dems
A guy I know almost died due to jumping from the high tree at Royal. He is now a vegetable. TBI. As a local..it is NOT recommended to jump from the tree. It’s just asking for danger.
