Awesome place. This was my first Boy Scout campout in May 1970. The group campsite was right on Fern Hammock spring. At this time the area went 49 days without rain and water levels were very low. Canoes were getting stuck multiple times during the paddling trip. Would love to do it again but I don't think my back would let me. Thanks for the memories.
is this new? you can rent kayaks at juniper springs? all my info last month told me this isn't possible. good to know! When you say "30 personal boats" do you mean, in addition to, or including their rentals? ty
Hi yes! 30 personal boats in addition to rentals. They stopped doing rentals during Covid and it took them forever to start up again. They started again recently and started the shuttles again too. Which is super helpful 😎 Thank you for watching!!!! 🙏
I met Moe's yesterday about halfway down silver springs. He told me of this channel. Very well put together. I just moved to Ocala and will be checking out all springs springs
I grew up on this run. I moved to N.C. I brought my daughter down to experience the run. They would not let us stop and swim anymore. I always liked to stop for a break and sit in the cool waters. It was a beautiful experience. I wanted to show it to my youngest. Since then they changed it more. Only 30 allowed. I'm good with that. But, did they tell you that you couldn't get out of the boat?
Yeah. Too bad you can’t get out of the boat anymore. I’m so glad you got to experience this run with your daughter. So beautiful… especially when it’s clear! 🩵💙
@artofadventurepascalemo you guys are GREAT. I love your content! I'm inspired. I'm taking the whole family down to Astor Florida for a week of touring the springs and true natural Florida. There are BEAUTIFUL spring fed lakes peppered through Ocala if you know the trails. Makes for good day drive through the woods adventure. There's a few easy ones along hwy 19. Buck lake, grasshopper lake. You might enjoy if you are in the area.
Very good synopsis of Juniper springs. I’ve lived here for 60 years and the spring access continues to get limited. The 30 private vessels is a recent new one, why, can only really be to force rental revenue. That’s very disappointing. But it’s a beautiful run and certainly memorable.
Hi! Thank you for the kind words. From what I understand, the limitations are meant as a waterway preservation element. I believe they cap rentals too. But yeah, this was the first I heard of it too. Juniper is such a beautiful spring. You’re so lucky to have experienced it for so long. Love it 😃
Someone told that preteen girl and her family "the gators don't want anything to do with you". And she was attacked and killed goin down that run. Along with others that have been attacked there

So Beautiful there!!
So beautiful!!!!
You now must have a $22 vehicle reservation on top of the admission on weekends during the summer. Several paths are closed for maintenance.
Erg 🙃

I grew up in the Ocala National Forest in the communities west of Juniper. I was married on the little bridge by the chapel at Juniper
I bet it was a beautiful wedding! Such an awesome part of Florida!
