- We have been wanting to upgrade the thermostat in our RV pretty much since we got it and today is the day. We were looking for a little more control over the heat and air especially while we are away. The Easy Touch RV Smart thermostat takes care of that. As far as I know it is the only smart thermostat on the market that works in an RV. So if you are thinking about doing this in your RV I hope this video will help you in some way to feel comfortable to install it yourself.

Great instruction. I think we’ll get one of these. My issue is that I’m not that familiar with my AC / Furnace configuration to know if it is a heat pump, and if we have heat strips. But… I think we’ll be able to figure it out. We have two dometic thermostat units.. one is for an AC only, and the other controls a second AC, and the furnace. Assume two micro air units (replacing 2 dometic thermostats) will work in our RV.

Seems easy enough. Although, I need to be Multi-zone out of the box and have heat pump in Zone 1. Wish your rig had that configuration.
Did you test the away from home, remote monitor and temp setting?
Yes we have tested it and it has worked great so far. Very convenient.
I'd like to install this device in my RV but when I uninstalled the old one, noticed it only has 3 wires, green red & white, and the micro air has 6 wires; With my old thermostat I'm running AC and furnace. Please advise, thanks in advance.
Does the phone app let you know if temp goes too high or low?
Yes. The Easy Touch can be configured to notify you if the temperature goes above a set point, or below another set point. Default seems to be 90° Fahrenheit for the high, and 40° for the low.

I set mine to furnace and it kicks it off to heat pump after a few seconds. Anyone else have this problem?
My new Micro air ASY -359 thermostat has no installation instruction, I found something on Manuals+ but it say I have to rewire at my AC unit also! Have you ever installed this version (Analolg Duotherm circa 2008 to the new Micro Air 359, thanks for any help!

Whay if you are camped in an area with no internet service ?
It will work but with no mobile control.
@@Jimmy2Tech A lot of places we camp has no cell service. Wouldn't be practical for me.

Hi. 2 Dometic thermostats within 3 years crashed! I bought the micro Air but after making sure the wires were correctly inserted the thermostat didn't turn on! I returned it for a check-up...all good...Got it back but still didn't turn on! Can you tell me why? Thank you
I installed mine, today. There seems to be a default delay before it actually activates the air conditioner. It was a little frustrating, I had to be patient, but it came on on its own. I guess it has to seek and find a few things. Also, the five-minute delay on the compressor falls into play, here.
When in doubt, reset the thermostat. Let it boot up, wait a few minutes, and see what it does.
Do you need your own wifi or can you use it with campground wifi?
You can use with any wifi.
My wifi connection stopped working and I can't figure out how to set up the Bluetooth connection. I originally had it setup, but it isn't working now.
