The best part of all this is hanging out with friends and family.
Titan92 completely agree!
Congrats TTR! Every old truck deserves a LS motor!
haha heck yeah!
Cant please everyone 🤦🏻♂️, i have both small block and a LT motor.
I was genuinely happy to see him fire that truck up, gives me inspiration for my truck
Me too! It was awesome.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS The best feeling!
The look on TTR face when it busted off was priceless..the happiness and joy he expressed was well worth it. That's what friendship is all about.. great video guys.
Love you guys, thanks for helping my boy get his truck on! Pecos rocks! ~ Love Ron's Mom
It was our pleasure! Ron is our boy and we have too much fun together.
that look of pure joy that ron got when he fired it up was worth a million bucks. i would have watched the whole thing and even if i got nothing out of it, it was worth seeing how happy and proud he is of his hard work! beautiful build man, well done guys
So cool! Thanks for watching, man!
As another Whitlock who is into trucks I have enjoyed your videos on the LS conversions. My son in law has a '90 K20 Suburban that we are talking about putting an LS into and your videos are very helpful.
Thanks
Awesome! Glad you've enjoyed them
Love how everyone jumped in and helped....but best of all....the smile on his face when that engine fired up! Love it!
That's how we roll!
"The best part of waking up, is an LS swap in your truck!" jingle jingle
now that's cool!
Yahoo well done team👍.The look on Ron's face when he turned the key and the LS fired up was priceless 😂 just like a proud dad. Thoroughly enjoyed watching these videos of the LS swap and seeing you guys getting along so well, great team effort and a specially to you Robbie for bringing it to us.
Allan Taylor that was my first motor build. So a lot of time and money was resting on that key switch. I was just hoping it fired off and didn’t make any weird noises.
Yes i bet you were so relived when all was well😊great job Ron
I completely agree! We have so much fun doing this stuff.
cool name my guy!
Ron's ear to ear smile when he started the truck was Great!
No doubt!
Wow, I wish I had a group of old truck enthusiasts like u guys. Look like a great time!! Just hanging and working on trucks, helping each other out👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That's it! Making it happen.
What makes this video great is that you guy's are always helping one another out on these projects, going to truck/cars shows together true friends. On a personal note congratulations on your ls swap TTR I'll see you guy's at one of these truck/car shows in the near future.
Thanks, Todd! We're having a lot of fun.
I really like the fact that it was a clean video without foul language at all. Thumbs up on the LS swap. Gotta have a United by Trucks T shirt and sticker......
The truck sounds great for the first fire up.. Another great video 👍
Yes sir! That's an LS for you.
Very nice sound for first start, you’ve got some good friends.
What a great group of dudes just helping each other out 👌 ND congrats on your Ls swap for pekos 🔥👏
That's what it's all about!
AWESOME JOB!!! I'll be checking back in on these videos of this build 100 times while I'm doing my own. Thanks so much for all the detail in this swap!
Thanks for tuning in!
Great job guys. Truck sounds wicked!!!! A lot of attention to detail, and it sure shows in the final product. Great group of guys wish i could of been there too!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
Thanks, Jason! Appreciate you tuning in and all the encouragement.
Congratulations TTR! I know how you feel. Mines in the process of the engine coming back together. cam, lifts, valve springs swapped out. Now time to put heads back on and get everything torqued down and ready to sit in the s10.
That's sweet! TTR put this whole engine together by himself, no video camera or nothing. Just him and his tools. So cool to see it come together like it did.
You guys have a brotherhood, truck family love that! Finally got my 84 square body from the shop on the 1st. Have to replace the flex plate on the 305. Only has 95,000 miles. Planning an Ls swap in the future.
We have a lot of fun, that's for sure!
You know it’s about to get real when Mamabear come out da house! Lol. Congrats TTR & Co. Sounds great, looks great, now go drive that thing!
Haha! I like that.
Exhaust and cam note fit it perfectly!👍💪
Completely agree! This truck sounds insane.
I got a 85 Chevy C10. I would love you LS swap it. Watching this video and watching his reaction and how good it runs makes me want to do it even more. Congrats on everything Ron
Right on! Thanks for watching. We aren't actual mechanics so we only risk messing up our own trucks. :0
Great swap guys! I've always wanted to LS swap my 82, but due to unexpected circumstances.. it hasn't happened. I've owned this SWB since 89 and done the complete build to what it is today back in 2000. Twenty four years later, and still no swap! LoL I'm going on 60 years of age, not sure if i'll ever see it done.
TWO TRUCKS RON!!!!! Congrats on the swap! my 15y/o son and I are getting ready to swap his 72, and we just finished building a 6.0 for his 13y/o little brothers 64! we love watching videos like this, keep banging!
Cool truck. Can't wait to get my 87 c10 on the road. Looked up Cato's upholstery shop from a previous video and will be checking them out real soon. Love the channel! 👍👍
Thank you so much! Cato is the man for sure.
Just got done watching this...Ron's reaction is classic truck/car guy all the way!!!!!
No doubt. This is likely my favorite episode.
watching these videos is so much motivation for LS swapping my c10. the tips will also help greatly. great content!
Thanks for tuning in!
Congrats Ron!! Really enjoy all the videos since the night he was surprised with that beautiful truck!!
Yeah, it's been a fun ride since then!
I WITHOUT THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT LOVE UBT'S CONTENT! "QUE THE MUSIC" HAS GOT TO BE MY FAVORITE PART! CHEST PASSING MY SUPPORT FROM MEMPHIS TN!! 💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks so much!
There is nothing more sweet than the sound of power after all the hard work!! Congrats TTR!!
Well said. Well said.
Sweet swap guys. I recommend getting the intake outside the engine compartment. AIT is 150*+ with open air filter. I grab air from where the blower motor used to be and see only 10* hotter than outside air. It helps but nobody bothers. Just a thought. Rock on!
Sweet suggestion! Thanks.
Let's Go Pecos! Congrats TTR. Awesome mini-series Whitlock Garage! - Loving the content.
Jeff Seidel thanks, Jeff! It’s been a lot of fun.
Congratulations TTR! Sounds mean... what were you thinking at WOT? That puppy looked like it was hauling! I got my "new" 71 pickup home..parts of it was better than I thought.. couple of places had rust I didn't expect but basically just needs rockers and part of 1 cab corner.. I tried to send an email at United by Trucks but couldn't get it to go through...was gonna send some pics and see what ya'll thought.
KEEP ON TRUCKIN'!
Haha that was Alex on the WoT part. He's a wild man! And please try again: unitebytrucks@gmail.com
About to start one on a good buddy of mines 86, doing a 6.0/4l60e. I really enjoyed the video and would like to see more on the ac as we will also be keeping the ac in his truck. Thanks again, great job fellas
Love that he was sleeping under the truck! LOL! congrats man!
haha yup!
I just watched the 4 episodes on the LS swap of TTR's square body....I liked it. Congrats on getting it going, now you've given me some ideas.....expensive ideas, but hey.....thx guys
Haha it’s all relative
That joy of the first start!! Congrats brothers!
Man, it was overwhelming.
First start smile is priceless congratulations
One of my favorite parts of any video I've ever done.
She purrs!!!!!! Great job guys! Congrats Ron. I am a bit....no, a lot jealous!
haha me too, honestly. This truck was really well thought out from a drivetrain perspective.
Olde Carr Auto Guy thank you sir. 👍🏻
Congrats on the build! His reaction priceless. 😊
I’ve seen so many of you guys video’s. Looks like you guys have so much fun helping each other.
Thanks for watching!
Nice ! Always cool hanging with good friends!! Nice job guys and thanks for all the info and filming ! She sounds sweet !!!
Thanks for tuning in! You nailed it all the benefits of what we're trying to put out in the world.
Great video I didn’t know you guys were from Ga, I live here too, and I have an 81 square body with a 350 and turbo 400. But looking at this video makes me want a ls swap too. Great work!!
Sweet! And yep, we're all GA boys.
Nice man but u should keep it 350 sbc to many with Ls swaps its gonna be hard as hell to find one not swapped pretty soon....stay true to the truck.
Just my opinion lol
that was an awesome series on your ls swap,, awesome video and editing,, y'a'll could put an ls in the space shuttle, dang!
haha thanks much! I'll take that as a compliment for sure.
I do this all day everyday at work. I’m not getting tired of it any time soon
That's the spirit!
Great job and teamwork guys. Congrats on the LS swap TTR!
Thanks, Michael!
I got a little emotional as well haha
I imagined myself finish my LS Swap as well. I Will finish mine soon with lots of hard work, determination, and most of all patience.
I have a k5 live in Vegas can’t wait to do my LS great videos good info 👍🏼
You guys did a great job. I got a 1986 c10 short bed I’m putting a 6.0 ls out of my 2500hd. The engine has 375,545 miles on it runs great no problems, would y’all recommend me doing a cam swap with the miles that’s on my engine Thank you
It sounds amazing still a little nervous on doing my own ls swap but seeing some of the things done here make a little more sense
is it weird that i have been waiting all week for this video i have checked everyday great job guys keep up the fantastic content
1983stepside follow along on Instagram man. You could’ve seen all the good clips without the wait 👍🏻
@@twotrucksron4116 whats your instagram
don't tell him that, TTR! haha

Not weird at all! We do the same with our favorite channels. Thanks for sharing that with us!
2:15 I must have been feeling good that day 😂😂
Sweet!! Glad to hear Pecos purring. Congrats to the crew for teaming up and getting her running again. Awesome to see friends getting together like this. Do you have a list of shows that you guys will be going to this summer. I was hoping to make it to the Southeastern National, but just can’t make it. Definitely looking forward to some footage.
Thanks, David. That is definitely the best part. Currently we only officially have SETN on the calendar. Likely commit to a few other shows in the Southeast.
I have a 1978 Camaro, and would love to put an LS engine inside my engine bay!! Sweet sound for the first startup guys!!
Thanks for tuning in!
I know that feeling when I did my first swap not knowing much about them coming from old school congrats
great work, just picked up an 84 today to start working on a swap. Is there a video or can you point me in the direction of your suspension setup?
We don't have a video on TTR's truck, but it's akin to a 4.5/6 in this video.
Start up on the 1st turn AWESOME👍👍. You guys rock
That's right! No editing there. We made sure we had everything primed and it fired right up.
Are you and the crew gonna make it to Dino’s Get Down this November in AZ? I’m working on getting down there I love what all the AZ guys are doing
Man, I don't think we're gonna make it this year. We're trying to hit all the East coast stuff this year, but will look to head west next year.
Awesome sounds great have wondered what it takes to put LS in older truck have never seen engine start on first try that was awesome
That's the beauty of an LS for sure.
Awesome guys working together to put another awesome truck together Kansas truck guy said it rite great group of guys coming together helping each other out is hard to come by
Man, we're having a blast! Thanks for tuning in and all the kind words.
Pecos looking good and sounding even better great work y'all
Completely agree!
congrats on the build looks and sounds awesome love the teamwork!
Thanks so much! More to come on Pecos.
Outstanding job guys, clean crisp work! Truck could use some magnaflows and make it sound meaner 🔥
Thank you very much! and this truck sounds magical with the flows. Rick and I typically run Borlas or Magnaflows and it's nice to hear that chambered rumble.
Congrats! Gotta love doing what you love!
You got that right!
I got a 1986 long bed with a small block 305 . I want to do a swap like this. Thank you for some good tips
That's what it's all about!

Sure. It's www.unitedbytrucks.com. I'll have the new decals and some hats up after this weekend. New shirt designs coming soon, too.
Whitlock Garage thanks brotha!
U guys did a Awesome Job !! I have a 85 c10 that getting the same thing!!!! I needed your help thank U
Very cool you guys made it look easy
It takes a well-devised plan and a lot of hard work. And some fun along the way, too.
Pecos looking good and sounding even better great job you all. Where did you get does exaust to headers clamps?
Great sounding truck for sure! I'll have to ask TTR on the clamps.
Sounds great. Y’all made that look easy. 👍
I don't know about that, but it's definitely one step at at time.
Congratulation on the fire up sounds great looks great I'm going to pull out the 1984 squarebody today original Engine original transmission have a blessed day have a blessed day peace

Now that's cool!
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS quick question... would i need the new gas tank, or is there a way to use the two the truck came with??
Nice job 👌 beautiful truck we love y'all videos and remember keep God first and everything else last thanks
Thank you!
Congrats! Sweet build. Will be doing an ls swap in my 83 k5 this winter. Cam sounds nice, do you know which cam it is, part number, maybe? Thanks
Awesome video guys can you guys do a build sheet and cost break down?
The Royal Q I’m not sure I want to know what I have in it 😂
Thank you! The first video has that in the description. Here's the link to it. ua-cam.com/video/mXxMOnq9ONw/v-deo.html
Way da go guy's congrats to Ron on the LS Swap!!
High fives to all you gentlemen! Great effin job!!!
haha thanks, man!
Thats awesome man...ain't no feeling like hitting the key and she fires off!..subbed!
Exactly! Thanks for tuning in.
Beautiful sound, what’s the inches dropped on the front and back. Is DJM Suspension good or you know of better one.
it's about a 4.5/6 front and rear. I typically like to use western chassis on a squarebody. I would suggest staying away from McGaughys because their drop is always more than advertised.
That is so awesome 👌.. really good video.. all that work paid off.
Man now that is great friend ship well done nicely working together beautiful talk murvis from Orlando Florida
Much appreciated
Thanks for all the info. I got all the part numbers of the fuse blocks from the UBTK5 video do you all have a diagram of the placement. Thanks again
Not currently, no.
FINALLY!! Been waiting on this episode all week!!
haha I've been stuck in vacation mode and hoped to have it out earlier than now.
Awesome job guys!!!!! Congrats TTR, I hope you drive the Crap out of that squarebody.
Oh, he will! Headed to Nashville from GA this weekend.
This channel makes me want a ⏹ body truck!
