Man, you guys need to be on TV. Much better than the Power Nation shows.
haha i'll take that as a compliment
I'm really digging the effort you are putting into your channel.. Not just showing them off (which is enjoyed), but the how-to's for our trucks in the forever quest to make them cooler. Thank you!
Thanks, man! That's what it's all about. Couldn't do it without you.
One of the cleanest & simplest mods to the square in my opinion. Always wanted to tuck mine on my 85 but never did.
Yeah, it's much easier then I expected. And makes all the difference.
I think it's badass what TTR is doing with Pecos friends got him hooked up with an awesome truck and he's taking it to the custom limit
steve nash just to clarify I paid for the truck. But they went the extra mile and got it home to me while I was out of town. That aside it would be a shame to not make this truck even cooler than already it is.
Yes sir! He's being very tasteful on this truck but we have another project incoming that will get a little more custom.
I need friends like you got as well as sponsors. I lost of my friends due to moving from Texas to Oklahoma but it is what it is. I'll make new one's when I can get myself well again and do more. As always enjoy your videos keep'em coming.
Please do! Life is worth living with good friends. And thanks for watching!
I love seeing just old fashion work with simple tools & simple guy's! Great work 👍👍
Thanks, brother! Just trying to make a difference and get it done for you guys.
This is one of those mods I love! I raised the factory steps on my f250 3” by using a method very similar to this years ago. Tucked them close to the body and changed the look.
Heck yeah, man!
Dude, thanks to yall I have tucked my rear bumper! Been wanting to and was gonna fab new mounts, so glad yall posted this! Save me alot of time and headache! Thanks again guys!
Awesome! Love to hear that
It is amazing how one little thing can really change the look on a truck. Awesome
No doubt!
This is from 3 years ago and I still wanted to say thats a seriously good looking gmc pickup bro!
Best mod I’ve done to mine tucking in the rear bumper looks so much better before it just looked super saggy
🎉 Cool, I am the 2,000 like in this video. 🎉
Yeah buddy. Good job. Video lookin real crisp. Ready to croc out with my socks out.
haha thanks, man! We're loving the new camera set-up.
Just to show how the industry is adapting to the desire for customization on these trucks I believe Holley is now making kits for these trucks because of the popularity of tucking these.
My '84 K5 was tucked years ago, but I still look at the Blazer bumpers and still get a exciting shit grin!!! Good job guys, looks real good!!! w.w.
That's sweet! Would love to know how it's done with the struts that are back there.
Nothing wrong with a Lil nip and a tuck buddy✊🏾✊🏾💪🏾💪🏾 keep up the good work guys
I just tucked my bumper this exact way using this video and it came out perfectly.
Awesome!
One of many things I see when looking at trucks....when I see a tucked bumper....before ...I never asked how they did that.... now I know....at car shows....many of the custom trucks I see one of the details... that catch my eye.....is this mod......and it sure makes a difference.
love someone willing to share their knowledge!!
that's what we're all about!
He said a hour and half.
I’ve spent a half a day just getting rusty bolts out. 🥵
Yeah, that will certainly slow you down.
Tell me about it. Clean trucks save so much time. I’ll never by another work truck again.
Just cut them when it comes to that you might need new ones, or spray some coca cola on them the night before?
yeah its tough but TRUCKER GANG FOR LIFE!!!!
I like it. I like it a lot. I've been looking at my bumper thinking it needs to be closer.
heck yeah that looks sweet i got my ls3 in my 69 and got it running still got some work to do but it's coming along aka stepchild will be one fun truck to drive thanks robbie another great video
Man, heck yeah! That's a huge accomplishment. And thanks for the compliment.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS thanks buddy i been getting after it for sure
Now need to see front bumper done
We're working on figuring it out!
Just did this tuck. Worked perfectly!!
Best video I seen I did my c10 omg looks very good and it was easy to do.
Yes I definitely want my bumper tucked!
Its the way to go!
Yes this is a great mod. It looks good on an 87 4x4 like mine as well. Had to cut my receiver hitch and recess it as well so it looks factory.
Biggest thing when moding or fabing, if it looks right it is right 👍
Exactly!
Factz 💯
Nice work. Some black touch up paint would be cool, since truck is up. Enjoy your videos bro!! Keep them coming..
Thanks!
Awesome i'd like to tuck mine but i have to get a different bumper, i have a step on the rear. Pecos keeps getting better. Thanks guys
Yup. Just little tweaks here and there.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS I noticed Jack Holes in the Bumper . Surly he wouldn’t Jack it up there for a Flat tire Change . Right
Very cool idea for a lowered 2wd truck for sure, I like it
No doubt about it!
I have a question. I think I have a 56" leaf spring but my truck is a long bed. Do you think I'll be able to tuck mine? Looks like I have enough room.
For people who don't know, that gap is your "crumble zone". With a slotted holes on the brackets if you have a small bump in the car, the bumper can get pushed a few inches before it hits the bodywork. Once it's tucked, that's gone, so expect much more damage from small fender benders once tucked.
Great how to! Keep more of that coming!
Yes sir!
These bumpers are so much nicer and appropriate than those diamond plate bumpers.
Great video. Pop corn bucket is full. Waiting on the video for the front. Come on. You can do it!
haha heck yeah! We haven't figured that one out quite yet but Bryan is on it already.
It doesn't seem like it's been 2 years since you aired this. I remember when yall surprised TTR with Pecos. I have got to make time to pull up and meet you guys.
It was a fine time for sure!
Looks good! Definitely want this done to my 87!
For sure.
just a question for you guys . do you guys consider a elcamino a truck? some do some don't. only reason I ask because I have one.
It's technically a truck since it has an open bed
I sure do! It's got a bed and the same reason we consider a blazer or burb a truck - it has a major component of truck (el camino, bed, blazer/burb, truck frame).
would you please let me know how to get the eye - face shield protection they use at harrison's? thank you
This new camera is impressive!
Thank you, buddy! I'm really happy with it.
I remember putting my front bumper on my 1972 GMC Suburban. It tooks some time to get it lined up right.
Sure does!
Wow nice shape, our Canadian c10’s pounds of dusty rust flakes everywhere harder to do Nice ride!
We're not hitching up a bass boat lol. That bumper tuck looks great!
My favorite part of the video
Yes but mine is DQ'd till the I figure out suspension on it gonna do a short bed conversion on a 3/4 long bed also looking into a five lug conversion all around on my truck and getting it low
Looks real good. Mine has the step bumper and I wanted to switch to this style but since mine is a big 10 and has the 56" springs this is out. The gap ruins it for me.
Ahhhh bummer
I see the motor mount kit you used you still use the stock fan ! Please help
Hell of a job.👍🍺🍺🍺brothers!
Thanks, brother!
Close to home, I live in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge...looking into buying a 79 C10. All this content is killing me right now...i have the Buy sweats, and the think about it before i go to sleep fever!
Haha don’t we all
keep putting in work Boys .
Always do!
Now I have to look under my 88 R10 Suburban to see if I can do this. Darn you guys and your DIY mods.
haha likely won't work on a burb or blazer since their are struts back there to assist with gate lift.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS It's a barn door truck. No struts back there but the gas tank or something else might be in the way.
Thanks for sharing can I still drive the truck on the highway would it be safe with 4 bolts?
Of course
Very clean look!
For sure!
Super cool video!!
Tell TTR to show some love to the rear differential and put some black paint on it I paint mine twice a year
Thank you, Bryan! He just swapped it recently (video to come) and I asked him why he didn't paint it. smh
I knew I had seen Bryan Harrison before.
Yup!
Process should probably be exactly the same for a 73-87 stepside right? And great content btw 🙏💪🔥
Hello like your channel man. I love squares too have a 78 silverado. By any chance have you seen or done a modification to the front bumper. I was thinking of lowering my front bumper like 1 or 1.5 inches and also tuck it in 1". Have you seen that before? I would like to hide a little bit of the front suspension
Looks awesome. Pecos sounds great.. chopping wood
Yes sir!
Now I have to look under my Blazer and see if I have room. Thanks Guys!
Blazers are different because of the torsion springs that help lift the gate. If you look at the very back of the frame right inside the bumper, you'll see two striker bolt looking studs that the torsion spring hook rest on to keep the gate from flying down. We've looked at it and haven't found a good way to get around them but I'm sure it could be done.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS Thanks, I do recall that now. My Blazer is down in Nashville now getting a new tune so have not been able to look at it.
Are those new brackes to mount the bumper?
Yes
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS LMC?
Do you only use 2 bumper brackets instead of the 4?
Got more details on the torq thrust 2s? Polished or chrome? Nice truck and great videos
Polished. And their off-the-shelf backspacing for 20x8 & 20x10
New camera looks amazing!!
Thanks, Colin!
If you got a long box then no trimming off the bracket required
What drop should I go with if I still want to use my truck as a truck. Meaning put load in it once in a wile
You can do that with any drop as long as you have the proper set-up and frame notch. We're going to be towing a lot with our bagged k5.
Thanks guys for sharing!! Love this channel keep it coming!!
Thanks, man! Appreciate you tuning in.
Awesome video this is one of those Mods I must do for sure! What brackets did you use on the rear bumper? My 84 GMC swb are completely different, thanks in advance.
Just a question have you ever seen some one mount a 88 to 98 obs bumper on a square body before
I have not.
We've been doing that for 20 years. Great stock yet not look.
Looks awesome! How about the front bumper?
Stay tuned
Some fab work but looks nice👍🏼
Just a little cutting and drilling.
brian were did you buy your face and eye protection from
Sweet I'm do it to my truck I've always wondered how to do it
Get after it! Not that bad at all.
Thanks for the great idea time to do mine
Hall County GA, my old stomping grounds.
Question do y'all mess with with any 3/4 ton square bodies how do I lower the front without cutting the springs or bagging it
You can get 3/4 ton lowering springs and spindles. Check with Switch Suspension.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS awesome I been looking just hadn't had no luck love ur channel
is that the blazer bumper? also do i need c10 brackets or blazer brackets if i use the blazer bumper?
No, that’s a factory truck bumper. Keep truck brackets with bumpers and the like.
do you guys still need front rad support brackets i have a set
I don' think so, but if we end up needing some Ill reach back out. Thanks for the offer.
Man that's awesome. Definitely doing it to mine.
Do it! It makes a huge difference.
I just subscribed to your channel. I can't wait to do this to my 86 GMC. That looks sweet!!!!
Awesome, thanks!
Always wondered about that
Glad you found it informative.
Love the instructional videos !! Well done.
Thanks, Tim! We strive to bring it all. Every aspect of the classic truck lifestyle.
Great improvement. What shock extenders is TTR running?
No doubt. I think they are DJM with Belltech Street Shocks.
Almost brought this truck yesterday
that is really cool thank your the video
Thanks, Jake! We're having a blast.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS your welome and thats what it is all bout and next time your in tennessees hit me yup ill take you around and show you some cool old truck i know
I have a question. I lowered my truck 5/7, how can I pick up the rear one or two inches and keep the flip kit. Thank you.
Move the hanger that was likely provided with your kit into the other hole. Should raise your truck up another inch.
I like step bumpers on trucks
Does the suburban use the same bumper and brackets?
Nice job
Bryan knows how to get it done, for sure.
Go pro gang. Crispy.
haha a little more than a GoPro ;)
Is there a way to tuck the front bumper ??
Nice! Looking good and I think you got a new camera 🎥
Yup. Nikon Z6 with 35mm f/1.8 lens. Pretty jacked about it. Upping the game every way I can so I can bring ya'll better content.
Thanks guys!
Looks great. Real beautiful touch... where can I get that exact bumper from? I feel like some bumpers don’t curve around the rear corners and some do like this truck. Love this style... if I order one, best place to get it and quality? And which bumper is this exact one? Thanks! Great channel and great videos
Look at Auto Metal Direct. I don’t know the part number off hand but they can make it happen
Is it the same for suburban?
Blazer and burb have struts at bumper that would make this much more difficult to do. and you need the trust to lift the heavy gate.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS ooo
What engine, cam and exhaust is in Pecos? Thats the sound of my dream truck.
haha it's a 5.3 with a stage 3 low lift cam. Flowmasters and Speed Engineering longtubes. It sounds amazing.
Man I need to figure out if I've got the room to do this on my 87 r20. Swapped the original for that style rear bumper. Awful gap between the truck
Yup. It's worth doing for sure.
What size wheel and tires does it have?
Will this be the same with a 2wd blazer?
It would not. The struts that assist the rear gate with lift and close run right through this area.
Hells yeah I want my bumpers tucked
Damm I need some brackets like that. Any ideas where I can get them ?
They're stock brackets that are modified - Auto Metal Direct has them.
