Thank you, very nice video 🥰 I’ve done alot of tests in RE4 and DS with custom configs - M4 is a beast. You can run RE4 60 fps with more resolution, textures and effects, and DS 40 fps with more resolution, textures and no motion blur. Real desktop quality and no overheating 👌
I oppose the idea of not editing the files for the games! Well at least for the iPad M4. Because for me, RE4 was basically unplayable and I don't even have high standards of games at all. But after I cranked up the resolution just a bit and set the FPS to 90 (I think), man it was absolutely beautiful! But sure, pushing it beyond that could cause too much heat and negative effects.
NO, NO, NO! Ubisoft should NOT remove the control panel that lets you adjust the video settings. App developers do NOT make significant upgrades to iOS games when new hardware comes out (the “package delivery simulator” game you point out being a key example of this, as it was developed for M2 and not updated for M4). By having quality settings available, it means that future hardware can run at higher quality settings. If we are meant to drop high prices on AAA games on iOS, we shouldn’t have the games hindered by older hardware.
Thank you for this video. It was interesting to see. Unfortunately, I cannot afford one of those M4's, but it's still nice to see those reviews and comparisons
I personally run Death stranding at full resolution on my M4 iPad Pro 13-Inch, look amazing (also enabled HDR). And it runs it quite nicely i don’t know the actual frame-rate but it’s smooth enough for a game like this.
Working in IT for a robotics company, watching these videos is akin to watching my uncle who used to "work a computer on the job" figure things out. He's not precise, but it's nice to hear a john everyman (or is it "everybloke" bc he's british?) looking under the hood, even though he doesn't get what all the hubbub is about 😅 His videos have gotten better over time, which means the bells and bobs aren't as confusing to him anymore! Keep it up! On a serious note, he's getting good use out the XCode, and almost all his videos are based on its feedback. Perhaps some day Apple will let end users access the data outside the dev process.
I'm autistic and I find it very difficult to process information. So I try to check this videos with developers (especially Elverils) but it's easy for me to make mistakes. At the end of the day I'm just an enthusiast.
To be honest I’m a fan of locked settings. Just like on Death Stranding or Resident Evil 4. It’s a mobile device, handheld console of some sort. Games should be optimized for the hardware, locked on best possible settings. If i want to tinker with resolutions or details - i will play on PC. Sure, visual options is a way for future iPad generations, but still…i don’t want to mess with settings, i just want to play like on console.
lots of mobile games like ZZZ, genshin impact and whatnot provide multiple settings. If it's built with scalability in mind, then visual options baked into the game are benificial for the long term. Especially when certain settings can be dynamically scaled in engine and they don't have to be baked into the app itself (e.g. resolution, FPS, shadow filtering)
I wonder if using a cooling fan would improve performance? I know that the m4 itself is a chip that doesn' t throttle much, but I wonder if it would help because I've watched a lot of reviews and videos lately (though not on the m4 ipad), but on all other devices those radiators for heat transfer really helps with more stable operation and more sustainable performance bearing in mind that on the ipad pro m4 the Logo on the back is made of copper and is directly connected to the chipset, direct contact with an active cooler could potentially help a lot
Is it better to play games like Tomb Raider on a MacBook with the charger connected to get the best performance like any normal gaming laptop or is it better to disconnect the charger to preserve the battery? (MacBook Air m2)
How in the world you got the FPS counter because I was curious how I get one but it can be a little bit risky to know how can I get it by plugging into my laptop to my device just to convert it that’s how you can get the FPS counter
It's quite simple. I make $1,500 to $2,000 AUD from UA-cam ads each month and I use that money to buy equipment I feel like reviewing. This isn't my full-time job. I only spend two days a week on this channel and 3-4 days a week working for an organisation that supports people with Autism in Australia.

MrMacRight, amazing content keep up the fantastic work
It seems like Ubisoft forgot to allow AC to use more than 5GB RAM. "RAM entitlement" I think the technical term.
I saw somewhere that it’s Apple devkit limit.
@@longluu1141certain pro apps can use mote
98 percent of Apple devices have 8 GB of RAM so they must optimize the games for 8 gigs of RAM.
Another excellent comparison video. Thanks Stu.

FYI it’s an 8GB model and works fine
Awesome! Thanks for this. I was curious how much of a difference extra 8 gb would perform. I game alot so def helpful
Seeing the CPU utilization higher on the 10 core M4 really show most of the improvements comes from that additional Big CPU core
3:40 Yep, that's memory swapping in the wprks. And possibly lack of one core

Awesome comparison
I am so impressed that it can run console level game stable on a 16gb model
Exsited to see gaming performance on the iPhone 16
11:17 Liquid Nitrogen
I love to have advanced graphics option. You stating your opinion might affect how devs approach this and I think it’s foolish.
I think it is better to buy rtx 4090 instead of iPad for gaming….
Can you play with a RTX4090 on a train?
Great Stuff, as always!

I mean the IPad M4 is way faster than the Rog Ally X

Thanks for a great video !!
Hi, wanted to get know, is Death Stranding going to be optimized for IPad Pro M4, did the developers say anything about that?
Apple used the M4 chip for ipad but still not able to run Death Stranding and RE4 remake on High Graphics smooth.

Thought you were going to compare RAM management lol
Is there a list of games available on the M4 iPad Pro? Do the games only show up if you have the pro?
Спасибо Вам за тест!
Ram does not make a difference still the same
You haven't tested Warzone mobile, the most unoptimized game
5:24 Once again: Memory swapping. (im no programmer so I might be wrong)
Did you try after a device reboot ? (For AC Mirage) for me it has better frame pacing after a reboot
What about games like Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves etc?
But how was the ram management, on RE4 or dead stranding at 60 FPS?
The slight difference is most probably due to 1 extra CPU and not RAM
Usas o usarias protector de pantalla para el ipad teniendo apple care plus y una funda folio?

sir, how can you locate the user.cfg file of metro exodus?
Hay alguna manera de jugar a pantalla completa a los demas juegos AAA como pasa en Death Stranding??
First :) Nice video!!
How do you run pc game on ipadOS?
Can you please mention the size of these games
Resident Evil 4 remake : 31gb
Death stranding : 60gb
Resident Evil village : 40gb I believe

TestFlight access for Ubisoft.
@@MrMacRight How to access I'm just curious because I just wanna know
They have to send you access, they won't do that sorry.
When will Resident Evil 2 remake come?
idk
How can I play this games in my Ipad without ps4 or ps5??
Also in Xbox game pass
Oh thank you very much!
There is difference in Resident evil village game
This video boils down to this: Get an ipad air for most things and a steamdeck for gaming on the go.
why would someone buy ipad for gaming
test Fortnite!
It's not easy as I'm not in the EU, I'm in Australia.
Can i have one?
Are you actually rich tho because that's hilarious

@@MrMacRight that's amazing. All the best to you. I enjoy your content alot. Thanks for answering me
