On this vlog, we are taking you through some of the lesser frequented gems to visit in the City of Nuwara Eliya whilst staying at the Little England Cottages.
The Hakgala Botanical gardens and Bomburu Ella waterfall can be fit into a one-day excursion and for those of you who love some adventure, I highly recommend trying this one out. and the climate almost to go with it . when i check the temerature now and again with the west coast its often about half in the hills with mist and more rain . we went there and its amazing and we really thought we were in england a small island with such a difference is unbelievable .

We visited Sri Lanka in September 2019 just before the pandemic. We were the only Sri Lankan Americans in a group of 14 Australians on a tour of the Island. All the hotels we stayed were top notch, beginning with the Cinnamon Grand in Colombo. It was a nine day tour organized by Insight Vacations that kicked off from the the Jet Wing Hotel in Negombo. The hotels in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Habarana, Galle were also great. With Covid raging we wonder how these hotels survive and tourism down to trickle. We would love to visit again, if and when life returns to normal.

Ya, Sri Lanka is a beautiful country & I always say that it's a hidden gem. Because of the tamil tiger war, one generation of the world doesn't know Sri Lanka. I'm from Malaysia & many young people here don't know about Sri Lanka. I know well about Sri Lanka cos I have lived in sri Lanka for some time. I really love Sri Lanka. I even discovered more places of Sri Lanka from Johnny F D's number of videos. He did a great job for Sri Lankan tourism. You too are doing a great job. Nuwara Eliya is really really beautiful. I hope to spend a long time in Sri Lanka one day by travelling & just relaxing doing nothing. I understand that the South & East Coast is also very nice. This video of yours is also an excellent one. Please keep up your good work.

Are you saying its not a gift for the tamils and Muslims? Sri lanka is a beautiful place but these discrimination and racism mentalities by the sinhalese which has led 30yr civil war to ongoing problems against the minority communities. If the sinhalese remove the racism and discrimination from their head and not follow corrupted politicians ideology, the island easily can one of the richest countries in Asia next to Singapore. Corrupted politicians are selling sri lanka one piece at a time to China. We're celebrating the independence from British but we are also inviting China to colonize in the name of debt trap. Unable to pay the debt, lease the land for 99 yrs. China can reproduce very rapidly and make part of the sinhalese minority communities . So we better unite and stop these greedy politicians to fall inthe debt trap of China. Tamil, sinhalese, Muslims, other Christians communities all live happily and make mother lanka proud and save her from China-loan trap. God bless the paradise island. Thank you Shennell for unting all communities together through your awareness videos. You went to Jaffna, experienced tamils hospitality. Hope all sinhalese see it and treat us equally as part of the country. If we all live happily, harmony. Why would any communities would want to have a separate state?

only northern tamils are living in sri lanka for 2000 years(actually 2200 years) sinhalese living in sri lanka for 2500 years (actually 2560 years ) @@KethTamilTubing so if we simply remove foreigners from sri lanka, the population of sri lanka is like 2 500 (indigenous veddah people)

There are a lot of beautiful places to visit in Nuwara Eliya. Some time back I visited Hakgala Botanical Garden, which is as beautiful as Peradeniya Botanical Garden and also Ramboda falls. Thank you Shneller for letting us know about many other attractive places in the central hills.

N'eliya is called little England . Haggala garden is one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka. I've visited several times .Unfogotable memories.
wow..I can't believe this is not England. I have now bee living in London for past 12 years and they have replicated the houses to perfection. Although English houses are not very comfortable it has an International appeal and lot of character.

Thanks for sharing ; the natural beauty of Nuwara Eliya & its surrounds have been beautifully captured & presented; Hakgalla gardens looks amazing too ! Congratulations! . Nuwara Eliya was our home town for 10 years whilst we lived on 3 nearby tea plantations (1975 to 1985) Nostalgic !!!
The lush green tea plantation and water falls are so beautiful, the way you captured in the drone camera of the Bomburu and Ramboda falls are really worth of watching your blogs.
