Beautiful place. When I was very young, we lived in Sri Lanka for two years. He worked for the UN, attached to the Food and Agricultural Dept. and we lived in Kandy (My Mom corrected me and said Watapuluwa, suburb of Kandy ) My family is watching your videos and recalling some of the places we are familiar with. According to them, we have been to this area and many other places you and Johnny are presenting. I have faint memories of places but my Mom loved taking photos so we can compare. This was some 20 years ago :) I do not know if they subscribed but you have five more fans now! :) We watched this together as we all came to our parents' place and working from home! We will be here for a while!

I hardly comment on videos on you tube. But on this video, I must say, it is done very nicely, Presentation is good, and it sounds truthful, no unnecessary hoopla! A big hi to the guy behind the camera, his work is amazing, especially with the camera motion. postproduction and sound design is great and a killer edit. I think more hotels and resorts should hire you two to make their properties "look" and "sound" good on You Tube. Keep rocking guys!

absolute paradise . ok the weather can be dodgy , but that adds to the experience . my wife and i stayed in Negombo about 20 years ago . our favourite tuk tuk driver offered to take us to Kandi for the day . he said if we get another 6 people together to go he would get a mini bus . 10 minutes we had them lol. we set off at 4 am and drove to the elephant sanctuary at pinnawalla . it was amazing to see the elephants bathing and working . a lot of the elephants where injured from the war there at the time . we then drove to some perfume gardens where they make fragrances . then to Kandi . a lot cooler there , but still beautiful . the big temple and Victoria park where superb . we drove back to Negombo and asked HOW MUCH . lol. we got the shock of our lives . £40 . i said what each ?, he said no all of you . gave him £100. he was crying his eyes out , poor lad . a couple of days later he asked us to go to see his home on the edge of Negombo at the end . OMG how these people live . he had a lovely clean home but basic isn't the word . plastic chairs and a door as a table . there where hundreds of kids all looking through the windows to see us . they never get tourists in their village . thank you Mohamed for looking after us . love to your family . salaam alaikum

Unfortunately you don't say anything about non-vegetarian food in any of your programs. How can a international traveller judge the property and Sri. Lanka without being aware of the quality of the food??

I climbed Hanthana in mid 90s, I was in year 10 ,now in Melbourne..miss that time...
