Stayed in Colombo for 3 years and loved the cuisine. Right from the string hoppers & hoppers at Upali's, to the all sort of curries (incl jack fruits), the Pol rotis or the Paan (Bread) items. The baked products are also damn good. With a cosmopolitan environment in Colombo, the pizzas & pastas (Roccos), South Indian cuisine at Shanmugas, the momos & baos at Momos by Ruvi's, lebanese at Hummus Bar (now closed) & mexican (must try out the cake - tres leches) by Alma Flores (residing in colombo) are food memories that I will carry to my grave. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people and a gastronomical adventure park!

Oh I loved this! I’ve been to Colombo a couple of times and I loved it! I stayed in a different hotel, one on marine parade so great to know about galle face hotel. The people in Sri Lanka were kind and generous to me and I loooved the food, though was quite spicey for me😚
