the 2 usb C ports are for you to choose where you want your cable to be whether on the left side or right to have more convient for you to place it and position however you want based on your setup, not just 2 pcs
Correct, we designed it with this in mind two PC setups as well as more flexibility for cable management ( this was first introduced with our Falcion Ace with traditional mechanical switches ).
Also at 8:04 he confuses inertia with also just being a „null input“. + who can wear a watch for a longer period of time while gaming.
This guy doesn’t seem trustworthy tbh
@@ASUSPRNorthAmerica Yes i realised this when ASUS here in Dubai sponsored the stream of the tournaments we host. great idea and design, well played
@@Satoabi hes not hardcore when it comes to technical stuff.
That fact that you don't have to use AC with this board makes it a real option IMHO!
All of our boards do not require AC they all have hardware profiles, hardware controls options for lighting and other control parameters. Many models support both Armoury Crate and Armoury Crate Gear ( Gear is peripherals only ).
@@ASUSPRNorthAmerica yes and I love that! Had an Azoth since release that has been great! Used mostly Asus MB since the late 90s as well. Would love to see a little more focus on AC as the interface is great, just slow and often buggy. As long as I don’t have to use it that’s great but would love to eventually be able to do so as well!
Seeing this it’s such a shame they didn’t do Hall effect for their 75%
i saw this video a few weeks after buying the azoth, and if it was 75% too i wouldve cried🙃
this keyboard is better than wooting 80 he imo. sounds thocky and looks premium.
They're pricing is worse than glorious. That $500 Azoth is non HE so an HE version would end up being 600+... which is somehow more expensive than glorious' $500 HE with AWFUL manufacturing problems like big tolerances in the case and crazy stem wobble.
@@TheChpowell but the £200 azoth is good, i have it and i dont regret it
At this price point I still think the wooting is better but im impressed. They really stepped it up this time around as far as sound and quality.
Can't wait for the Logitech Pro TKL Rapid to get roasted on this channel
I recently got the Azoth Extreme. Love the key feel and premium quality. I won't need another keyboard for years... I also have a Gengar sprite on the color OLED...
I’ve been looking for a new keyboard and this one looks to be checking a lot of boxes for me.
Thanks Frank!
Glossing over Armory Crate…. Smart.
Way to go Frank! Was looking forward to this review... you don't need to send me the review unit. It's totally cool. Really... I would never ask you to award a review unit to me. I never said that.
this keyboard is better than wooting 80 he imo. sounds thocky and looks premium.
Knowing ASUSes software firsthand, "x" to doubt.
wooting software is on another level, honestly
This person has clearly never used Armory Crate
0:58 This idea reminds me of those hard plastic keyboard dust covers from the 90s. Or am I wrong?
i am still really satisfied with my apex pro mini which i got because of a discount
but love to see that there are now a lot of companies making those adjustable keyboards now that are insanely fast
I do not like ASUS at at all anymore but this keyboard looks pretty cool and the touch slider input is pretty innovative.
I think I'll cancel my pre-order wooting 80he for this, that rapid trigger switch is awesome plus wooting 80he led bar is next to useless this has more utility. And modding are just for geeks. This in stock is already good.
Plus you don't have to worry about scratching the very delicate paint they use on the 80HE.
Cover the keychron q1 HE
Thanks for the review. You're Awesome. (Nice Shots in Counter Strike)
Nah, not showing off the software in a review of a HE keyboard is straight up stupid, it's like one of the most important sides of HE keyboards. I understand it may affect your analytics but this is still a review and this is just disingenuous. Try to show it off in a different way but reviewing and showing off the software is almost as important as the keyboard itself.
those switches are amazing and the keyboard just makes it sound so good. can the switch be put on other he keyboards?
Asus included a rolling tray with a keyboard, that's a first lol.
This is what I want to see: companies trying to one-up each other in features and convenience instead of just copy pasta. Asus is clearly out for Logitech's head.
Just got the gmmk3 Hall effect but this looks much nicer
This keyboard sounds great
Honestly out of the box this might be the champ of HE keyboards!
Wooting
Wooting is best at performance, in everything else there are many better options. It's a hollow sounding plastic trash, but hey at least it's the fastest and has the best software.
@@bongo3808
my wooting 80he gets delivered today and im so excited
Poopoo board
How? I was in the first pre order group it still says they haven't even arrived at their warehouse.
congrats
@@even1313 im in canada im not sure, i pre ordered the day the founders campaign started.
@@stonie8629 I did as well.
nobody cares about the RGB setting in the software, u can show us what r the feature in the software like how to set the macros, how to set the actuation force all those setting. just dt show the RGB no one cares abt that.
is this sounding better then 80he?
keyboard is not for audio, go buy headphone
As far as companies go, asus is pretty bad
@@HSGG_ keyboard that has good sound is sometimes a preference for some people, like me.
Sounds wayyyy better to me.
Use your ears man, how do you expect someone else to decide what sound is better than the other to your own ears????
I have been missing the last 2 videos Frank... UA-cam notification's been acting up...
nice keyboard. but that swiping feature and function bottom on the top left is kinda silly. Most of the people this would appeal to this probably have other elements of their setup to control those things already. They overcompensated IMO..
I called that "opposite THE logitech keyboard"
Buying this over a Wooting, or Keychron would be such a mistake.
When you activate the rapid trigger, does it rapid triggers the whole keyboard or you can still set it at per-key basis?
By default, only WASD. You can set more in software.
I'm waiting for Frankus Logitech's HE review.
do you have any recommendation for a keyboard that is HE wireless and has RT and SOCD
Nice idea to make comparison with the pen click
Well dam this is kinda cool but just picked up the extreme. So have to hold off well at least a week before getting another keyboard
I could give a crap about the touch sensor on the back since I already have audio stuff, but MAN...that sounds great. I'm probably gonna get some flack for being a full-size keyboard user (I'm used to data entry, shush), if they had a full-size version I'd be fully on board. (Pun intended)
Also, that being said, if you have a 2-pc setup, you may as well just get an actual switch dock. That seems like a dumb thing to implement. If you have 2 PCs you probably have the money for an actual switch. They could have removed that feature and integrated either a physical dial rather than the touch sensor or dropped in a wireless dongle. 🤷♂️
make a ASUS ROG Falchion ACE HFX vs pwnage zenblade 65. still think zenblade is the best hall effect keyboard on the market. waaaaay better than wooting
i want a hall effeect 96% so bad. idc how much man
still prefer my wooting with the lekkers V2, took these companies years to catch up to wooting. Also... ASUS..... big nono. Company that has been screwing with their customers
I am 42 years old and i deal with pc since age of 13. Not even once i travelled with a keyboard in my backpack
Did you travel with it in your pants, instead?
@@VarjoPira haha, not always 😂
200 bucks is what I spent on my last CPU. I'm not spending that much on a keyboard no matter how good it is...especially when I can snag a Aula, Leobug, Epomaker, or GMK67 for like 50-80 bucks. Heck, I can get a Rainy75 for 100 bucks less than this ROG doorstop...why would I ever want it?
That touch thing is way to gimmicky.
Not really, it's really handy
It is customizable, so obviously not gimmicky.
@@VarjoPira Something being customizable does not make it not gimmicky.
needs a white version
Does this have a white version?
This is wild
The wooting app supports linux, the asus app doesn't. This eliminates this keyboard as an option for me. Do better asus
Logitech punching air rn
under minute gang
the rt switch deadass shows that the company can think when they make a new product
cough Logitech cough cough
SOCD if you buy a keyboard for this feature then your basically looking to cheat, soooooo
non banned wooting for tounrnys and being able to turn on rapid trigger W/O software is a MUST for Lan
I wish it was wireless
For $200 it's not bad but I'd rather build one with optical switches for cheaper
For 200 you can have 80he
my azoth is having double type issues, does anyone else have the same issue?
Looks pretty nice, more competition to the HE market, they ticked a nice amount of boxes with this keyboard. I just wish ASUS would stop using this ugly font type on their keyboards, am not a fan... I can know I can just swap the keycaps but keycaps cost money.
Did MS pay them to put a copilot button on the board? Lol. Useless.
Propably
When Frank got a wig?
😂😂
Hi! Can you tell me why the keyboard is wired? Couldn't it have been made wireless, or are there some specific limitations for this particular keyboard that prevent it from being wireless?
it looks great!
Fuckin hate armoury crate
the index finger with the hangnail 💀
hey frank
i feel so cool being so early
Oh my god that too expensive keyboard... Alright I'll go skip for that
Am I the only one that thinks it sounds underwhelming?
ASUSED
$200 plastic case keyboard 🤔
helloooo
why proprietary switch
just buy a wooting, or a keychron
@@ancientslav4863 keychron has an issue with auto keying and going haywire, wooting costs $300 barebones after shipment and tax to my country lol.
@@HSGG_you pay for quality.
not wireless sad
IDK why every asus product needs to say some corny shit in big bold in your face RGB.
what the frick is that name lmao
This is 💯% sponsored
Imagine buying something that requires Armory Crate.
Damn we early early
No 100% drat
and then theres logitech ahahhaha
keychron k2 he is better
not talking about the software being garbage cuz "everyone just skips this part" is huuge L for this vid
Let's Go!!
Thomas Gary White Kenneth White Paul
200 bucks......yea nope!
just get a wooting, better Quality for the price + its cuztomizeable
wooting actually isn't better quality for the price given the materials used
Do not buy ASUS products, they will die really soon after their warranty and ASUS will leave you high and dry with zero help. It's happened to me with Motherboards, Graphics cards and recently a mid-high tier monitor after only it's 4th year on a 3 year warranty. They used to be decent but they're overpriced junk now. Don't waste your money.
I've had no problems with my asus gear.
Boring 🥱
asus is loosing it with their prices..
remove the emojis on the title
Wired, very expensive, armory crate, socd banned. No thank you.
Same as well
i think its good keyboard but i would buy it purely as its from asus they are such a disgenuine company and there software is garbage hot garbage
Sounds like a cheap 10$ office kb
False. Most obvious difference is the stabilizers. Sounds great, especially for a Hall Effect board.
@@AdamSambuco it could be the best keyboard on the planet as long as you have to use armoury crate it will never be an option for most people
As I said and showed in the video, you don’t need AC it can all be controlled on the board itself
@@AdamSambuco I've just seen another video, and the kb sounds nice. But in this video, it sounds bad.
One of the ugliest keyboards out there. Yikes.
