The real tragedy of the Twilight saga is that literally every other character in the Cullen family has a better story than Edward. Can you imagine how much better it would be if it was the story of Rosalie and her murderous redemption arc or Charlie finding out his bff leads a pack of werewolves?
Or Alice’s time in the mental asylum and overcoming the trauma James inflicted on her then finding Jasper. Or Jaspers story in the West or Carlisles time in London as the son of a preacher who is the devil he hates. Like come on, so many alternatives

Yesssss! I read a bit of Midnight Sun and I loved the flashbacks and just the cullens minus Bella. Also I could read just about the wolves too. I liked the wolves from Jacob’s POV in one of the books. Everything is better if we just remove Bella from the picture lol 😂

I was Team Seth. Jacob whines about how werewolves (shifters) have anger issues but Seth in the movies AND books was always a sweetheart and supportive and never was angry at all so Jacob's excuse about losing his temper isn't a valid point to have an attitude.

Teenage me was definitely Team Edward, but as I grew up I became Team Rosalie. She's hands down my favourite character and I'm really glad they included her backstory in Eclipse.
If the books were about Rosalie, I would be 1000% more invested.

The majority of soldiers were fighting for the states right to govern themselves. Combine that with the fact that men in the south had to fight regardless of their own beliefs, I don't really hold his service against him. Plus, that was roughly 200ish years ago for him, I think? I personally don't hold his service against him as that's in the past and the person he's shown as now is different from who he was then. Then again, I'm speaking as a non fan so I'm not that invested in his character 🤷🏽♀️

It's better than BELLA'S reaction. In the book, at least she was pissed at Jacob for kissing her and WANTED Edward to kick his ass. In this one, she's DEFENDING Jacob when Edward confronts him.
Billy's frustration with the Twilight saga is giving me life. HAHAHA, lol.
1) A wolf imprints the first time they see their imprint after their change. Since Jacob didn’t imprint on Bella, he’s saying he doesn’t are if she ends up like Leah, broken-hearted after he imprints on someone else and loses all interest in her in a split-second.
2) Jacob assaulted Bella (in the book, she’s bruised where he held her back and the back of her neck, she was fighting hard against his werewolf strength).
3) Jacob threatens to deliberately get himself killed in the fight if she won’t show interest in him, so she kisses him so he won’t commit suicide via newborn vampire (not that he really would’ve done it).

For me personally I just can't understand why people have to be roasted over the things they like, movies and books aka fiction, are just entertainment, you don't have to take it seriously, if it's not a text book that i have to study on my school or a documentary than I won't take it seriously. That's why I always liked Twilight because it has been entertaining for me not that I take it seriously.
The insanity is what makes it fun! I dont watch this vampire movies to see lovely human love story. But the crazy, annoying shiz they get up to is what makes it entertaining.

Personally, I like all of the other cullins except for Edward. Edward might have been OK if he was with ANYONE ELSE!! He was just following bellas lead. In the last movie when he tried to do right by her and leave. She was as manipulative in New moon as Jacob was before the beginning of the fight in this movie. Honestly Bella and Jacob deserve each other because they're so manipulative. Edward might have been better if he was with someone else who forced to be better
I love her backstory. Its so tragic. But then she gets her revenge all dressed up in her wedding gown? I stan a queen. Its been awhile but I think I remember that she didn't drink human blood. Even tearing that jerk apart she didn't even try a taste. That's impressive. A brand new newborn vampire with almost uncontrollable bloodlust? Surrounded by human blood after destroying a fool? And never drinking a drop? I'll say again, I stan a Queen.

I do think these movies would've been better if they dwelled into vampires and wolves their world building and fights more . They can still have romance in there but they could've concentrated more on the lore of them . It's would've been so interesting to see tbh...
I was thinking the same last night watching this.
Even with the focus on romance it could have been better if the boys weren't so manipulative and controlling and Bella wasn't so down on herself and depressed and less light-hearted against the boys bad actions. But it still would have been bad because that wouldn't be taking into account other problems the three main characters have, or any of the other character's bad actions in the series. Technically, I watch a writer make UA-cam videos of rewriting _Twilight_ for fun and editing practice, and it shows just how problematic a lot about the whole series truly is.
Honestly, that's why I only ever rewatch the final film, because I feel like it leans more into that.
I still remember something someone pointed out about the books. It could've easily been a really interesting and rich story about vampires. Stephanie Myer put a lot of background and lore into, well, the background. But instead focused on this not great love story between two (3?) characters and revolved everything around them.

This is too funny. I think something that we forget but they display it soo well in this movie is that Jacob is literally a child and Edward is a grown, grown man so the way they act towards Bella is apparent. Also Rosalie is the only one thinking because Bella and Edward is like skipping through the forest happy but she’s like no one wanted this. All of there stories are tragic and Bella is just like head in the clouds oblivious. Also Billy is right, there were really no major issues before Bella moved there, she is the cause of everything. Lea is the only female werewolf and the alpha is her ex whose thoughts she hears constantly, complicated!
Southern guy and Alice are cute and seem like they have a nice relationship
Why does the doctor turn people? it seems like a nice thing to do but also traps them in an immortal life, and how does he chose who to save? that moral choice could be explored
Charlie finding out about vampires and werewolves and becoming their human contact in law enforcement could be a whole TV show
Even the high schoolers could be interesting!

I always felt so bad for Leah Clearwater because she had to hear all the guys thoughts and they heard hers. As if being a teenage girl wasn't bad enough...

The joy of the series IS the trashing-- no one trashes it more than Robert Pattinson himself. A group of my friends watched it once with commentary including Rob-- you can so pick up on his disdain even then.

Rosalie’s backstory was even more tragic in the book see she got raped by her fiancée and when Carlisle smelled the blood he walked out and saw Rosalie and he was hoping that he can create a mate for Edward who spent about 10 years without a mate and he turned her into a Vampire but Rosalie wasn’t more than a sister to Edward but a few years later she found Emmett who got mauled by a Bear 🐻
I was team Jacob, but now I’m team Charlie. He’s better than the 3 main characters of the series. He deserves so much. 🥺

Because the books are mostly from Bella's perspective so you never would have seen this. It was added on, to keep audiences interested in at least part of it.
When these movies first came out, I was firmly Team Jacob and my mum was Team Edward- we had t-shirts and everything! My dad even had an Alice t-shirt and my mum cut her hair to look like her. I'm pleased to announce that I am now whole heartedly Team Edward and my mum still has the same haircut.
Eclipse is my favorite one out of all of them because I loved the plot of the vampires and wolves teaming up to go against Victoria’s army of newborn vampires.

I was in late high school, early college years for these movies. I was Team Edward hardcore. Couldn’t stand Jacob for all the reasons you mentioned: whiny and not the one she wanted. He had me so mad every movie/book.

#bingers ooh! Arguably one of the best vampire movies ever that you should watch is “Interview with a vampire.” It’s a much more classic take on the vampire monster lore and mythos, and it’s just hella good

When we are dealing with dogs imprinting and grooming kids, a confederate soldier raised in those ways, who was probably forced to join the army like most soldiers are, is the least of this sagas problems. At least for a guy frozen in time, he chose to change for the better. It's a plus point
@@anycullen21 As far as I know, we see none of Cullen family even interact with people who aren't white. The only non-white people are the wolves and all the Cullens don't like them even if it's just a little bit. I'm not trying to say Jasper is or isn't racist but to say he's changed isn't a fact.
