Insulation & Steel Wainscoting for the Animal Cottage | Dog and Cat House | Part 4

Hey there,
In this video, I begin working on the interior. The temperatures are starting to drop so insulating the inside will make it more comfortable for the animals this winter. I have a large roll of construction insulation that I got for free. I spent a lot of time cutting each section individually to fit between the studs, but you can't beat free. After installing the insulation, I wrapped the walls with plastic to create a vapor barrier. Then I cut down sections of corrugated steel roof panels with a metal cutting blade in my circular saw. I used my angle grinder to cut out the doggie door and windows. I used a level to mark my screw placement and an awl to punch through the metal to make driving in the screws easier. The steel was installed as a wainscoting to the bottom portion of the walls.

There are many ways to build and many different methods and tools to use. This video just documents the way I went about this project. I hope this video inspires you to build something and maybe use reclaimed materials as well.
