I see what you mean, but I think Medic is a great class for new players, because as long as they're holding down LMB, they're helping the team significantly.

This is a wonderful tutorial and I am totally gonna put this in my Basics to TF2 playlist for friends and family who I will force to play this magnificent game!
Soldier is basicly that class that anyone can take out of their back pocket and get comfortable with quickly. Though when it comes to rocket jumping i can only really do basic jumps and none of that fancy speedrun through the map that some god players are able to do. And i've played since 2011 haha. Though note that there's weapons like the direct hit which have rough blast radius and benefit more from aiming directly at enemies.
I am trying to learn tf2 because my friend really likes the game and the fandom, and my friend always shows me memes and stuff from it that i dont understand. So i am trying to learn everything from characters personalities, what they do, their lines, even fandom stuff like the sentry girls :)

Going back here again, Team Fortress 2 was much simpler when it was new, today, it's complicated. To correct some things here, you don't have to modify your viewmodel field of view and your general field of view from their default values, I did try to modify them but I prefer the default ones, they were common when the game was new. For what classes you should play first, the Soldier was the best option out of all other classes. Same goes to your loadout, you shouldn't heavily rely on weapons in your backpack, your stock weapons are the most reliable, it's better to sharpen your skills with stock weapons before the others.

I had a laptop way back in 2013-14 and got introduced to this amazing game. I am getting a pc soon. I'm salivating at the possibilities.
As someone who just downloaded the game yesterday, I think I will have lots of fun playing tf2. Thanks for the tips! You just earned yourself a new subscriber.
thank you so much for this tutorial, it was very helpful :D
This is a wonderful tutorial and I am totally gonna put this in my Basics to TF2 playlist for friends and family who I will force to play this magnificent game!
Soldier is basicly that class that anyone can take out of their back pocket and get comfortable with quickly. Though when it comes to rocket jumping i can only really do basic jumps and none of that fancy speedrun through the map that some god players are able to do. And i've played since 2011 haha. Though note that there's weapons like the direct hit which have rough blast radius and benefit more from aiming directly at enemies.
Thanks for this great tutorial im going to start playing today so i decided to watch this since i dont know a single thing about TF2
You are very welcome! If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask! Have fun :)
Ive been a fan of tf2 for a long time but i never had the pc to play it. Thankfully next month i should get one, this video was very helpful thank you
this is a really helpful guide even in 2023, you just earned a like, thank you!
I am trying to learn tf2 because my friend really likes the game and the fandom, and my friend always shows me memes and stuff from it that i dont understand. So i am trying to learn everything from characters personalities, what they do, their lines, even fandom stuff like the sentry girls :)
love the video gangsta helped me get back into the swing of things
Kinda nervous to join this game but this honestly helps a lot! I love fps games and this one seems pretty popular. Sadly I think I’ll need time to get used to this game. Still though, this tutorial really helped with clueless me!
One year later, valve fixed the cheater issue
Aren’t there still bots?
@@VaultMAN-xn4dv um idk rn but i have heard they updated their anticheat. At the time of the original comment, there wasnt any
I got a new laptop and the first it did was download tf2. This has helped me a lot, Thanks!
Thanks! I'm watching this while downloading tf2, and this is a great beginners guide :D
Ive been wanting to play tf2 for about like 3 years at this point but was scared since other new players talked about how they were mistaken as a bot and banned. This video definitely helps me get my footing in the game :)
Thanks for this guide. I'm now more comfortable with the game (even if i'm still level two). And as you said, the pyro is really easy to play i wasn't exepting that honestly.
I love the modanation racers music at the end
this was posted on my birthday :D
tysm that helps
I have almost 2000 hours and this guide finally helped me get good
Its incredible meeting other man that knows bout ModNation Racers
As someone with 2400+ hours in the game, I thank you for this tutorial. I did not know where to start
Thank you so much. Have a good day!
Never played and i dont think I ever will but i enjoy watching videos like these
played it for the first time. 4 dudes blasting music in voice chat, cheaters, and then randomly kicked me for no reason. thankful for the warm welcome.
As im writting this comment, i only have 2 hours in the game (i know, very bad numbers especially the first time that i played the game was last year) and all i've done is run, kill, run and die (
I just started playing tf2 for the first time, this does help
I haven’t played since 2012 so thanks for this
I unironically watched this last night, I know enough about TF2 but I absolutely suck at the game and looked up some videos to help me out
If you have a small keyboard like me go into video settings click advanced and you’ll find an fov bar allowing you to change it from 75-90fov
I have a 60% keyboard. Accessing the console is not an issue.
Same goes to your loadout, you shouldn't heavily rely on weapons in your backpack, your stock weapons are the most reliable, it's better to sharpen your skills with stock weapons before the others.
i started with soldier. i main him but i also gravitate towards medic. 2 insane dudes in one go
17 years old. Crazy how fast time goes by.
Great tutorial!
I'll use this advice when I can actually land a bullet on a target that's standing still.
This was very helpfull, thank you
bro thank you so much, very clear explanation!
Brand new to tf2 hoping this will cure the depression overwatch has given me
5:02 hehehehehehe…
As victim of spy in my own first game, I can understand that! Because he was pretending to be Scott , call out for help, and I have help him only for him back Stab me! It was a terrifying jumpscaris!!
Then after I become really good! Especially with sniper! The medic become my target number two, after killing an enemy snipers of course!!
Once you get done with the first three classes I reccomend a flanker like spy to help learn the map and sniper to improve your aim
Thx im new to the game!!
😅
Thank you, awesome video!
dude I kinda knew how tf2 works from tc2 but something always felt off, the two setup commands u gave totally changed the game for me
When tf2 was made i wasnt even alive yet (november baby) so finding this game as a young child was very strange to me but now that im older and play more shooter games i download tf2 to see what the hype was about and i was not disappointed most matches were fun and i only rage quit once
Even as old school such as my self you did gud with this
bro thank you so much for this, i wanna play tf2 with my friends but scared ima get clowned on, thank you for this!

I have 16 hours in tf2,this made me better thank you!
thank you so much, love from Bangladesh
Hey, amazing video! May I ask which HUD you are using in the video, and if there’s a link to download it? It looks very nice and polished.
Just downloaded tf2 like 2 hours ago, this will really help me
alrighty, thanks for the tips because today is my first day playing team fortress 2 and i know N O T H I N G but memes, so this and some other tutorials will be helpful
You're gonna go far kid
i have over 1000 hours on tf2 + i joined in 2016, and yet i still play like i've launched this game for the first time
this video could be useful
I love playing Pyro and Medic
I'm installing the game rn. I'm horrible at shooters and I'm a bit scared ngl. But the guide is quite helpful! Hopefully I manage to not die in the first 10 minutes or so-
Update: This is fun but I'm still horrible at shooters
i play overwatch and was clueless what was going on...
now i know whats going on...
I'm not better at it but I've learned something

Bro, please help me out with the aim. how do you get that aim while you were using scout while explaining cheat plssssssssssssss
i play on orange box but this still was a very helpful guid!
First time playing i downloaded budhud and started to main sniper, spy, heavy and scout probably the most fun characters in my opinion
hi guys
EADE PRODUCTIONS REAL?!?
I played for a very minimal amount of time in 2017 and then couldn't play until I got a better computer this year (my computer is still not ideal, but better than the last one). I need to relearn how to play, so thanks!
i recently got into this game and only JUST installed it. im kind of intimidated because everyone has been playing for like over a decade, and the only other shooters i like are fortnite and arsenal....but i hope that i can still have fun thanks to this video!!!!! :3
Are you still playing around a month later?
So I literally got The Orange Box day one. It was my first experience with steam. I played the hell out of portal, and then fell in love with TF2. I probably haven't played it in 15 years or so, maybe more XD I love the engineer class, do you think you could do a beginner's guide? I'd love to get up to speed! Great video, and my best to you and yours good sir.
I gotta remember those 2 commands at the beginning
As a console player i am unable to score kills unless i get used to mouse and keyboard. Until then watching tutorials is kind of a priority. the video is nice, I never knew pyro had airblast.
