First time I drove the Western Star 5700XE on a quick job, I was honestly kind of impressed with it, SCS definitely put a lot of love and care into it, both inside and out!

Unfortunately my Thrustmaster TMX Pro shorted out, so now I am in the market to purchase a new and better set up. Love watching you drive in ATS. Have learned a few things from watching your videos. Keep up the excellent content.

You can change the seat in the truck in the workshop in the game and you can find it by customizing the interior 😊
To add to that (JF maybe figured it out already), there is an additional node on the seat (in addition to the one for seat objects) to change the colors of the seat to match the different interior colors. I only point this out for clarification because this isn’t done on previous SCS trucks.

The first half of the Ride-Along was rough...sort of a foggy haze...and then the blind could see again. Great content Jeff as always! Would love to see an updated Traffic Density re-featured on the Traffic Ai!
I daily drive a 5700xe. This one seems pretty accurate, especially losing air feathering the DT12 clutch backing in 🤣. Honestly not a fan of the DT12 tho. If I a gripe on this model, it'd be nice to have the interior textures brighter.

I like it too, but it just feels massive. Maybe because it's the 82" sleeper, or I'm just used to the regular 57x I drive all the time
I love my international LT is so nice truck my back up is my 49x
Just a piece of advice from a current truck driver when you are backing up don't move the wheel so much. It's better to make slight movements to manipulate the trailer that way you don't get the trailer moving to much when you tryna back into a hole. Just wanted to let you know.

Hey Jeff, in exterior configuration of the truck, there is a node close to where the safety window node is there is a node to change the seat colors grey,black,a red and white, and that brown, it's in the middle of the cab, kinda strange it's in exterior config not interior, but is what it is, hope this helps, love the video!

You can change the seats. The selector for it is near the back of the seat if i am not mistaken. The 5700XE is the only truck in ATS that allow you to select the interior and the seats separately.

Always good to see a JF ATS video! Yeah, I don't use a traffic mod and I have no stutters, and I'm still on a i5-9600K (with a 3060ti), so I'd say the mod was your issue.
I wish they still made this model 😞. The new Western Star tractor is just a slightly different Cascadia. This model at least had that unique Western Star cab shape. But, glad to see you keeping it alive in the sim!
Great vid. You can change the seats. Seen the launch stream by SCS and they had some cool options there. Most definitely going to apply to OCRP. I agree. In a tower or high places I feel afraid of heights but as a commercial pilot flying a plane I am completely fine. It’s weird.
The 5700 is a good looking truck. I've seen a few out on the road and they look awesome. If I ever decide I want to drive semis, I wouldn't mind driving a 5700

Hey Jeff. I was able to change the seat colors without modding. There is pin on the passenger seat down on the lower plastic section (I believe it's near the seat belt receiver) where you can change it. Took me a bit to find it, but it is there.
I just bought the truck and it's really nice, but the engine sounds are horrible (in fact this has been a problem since launch). So of course I'll be looking into that sound pack that you are using.

Jeff i loved this video brother. I have the same engine and Jake brake in my truck. It also has Intelligent Cruise control to keep following distance. Good power when you need it. Can't wait to see the next one. Keep em comin brother.

I drive a semi truck for a living the first truck I was assigned after I got my CDL was a western star 5700xe I miss that truck it was a very nice truck
I think my next purchase will be the Ruda RVM Pickup Truck.. that looks fun. But I have to get the new setup build and everything back together!

Jeff, I wouldn't keep removing things to make the skips better. I have the same issue, seems to be very common and I don't believe anything is going to fix it. Fingers cross that SCS gets us the new game engine by the end of the year.
I think it's just some sort of issue with Texas. My friends and I get them all the time in Texas which usually causes us to avoid it.

always watch your trailer when turning! Nothing wrong with having favorite mod but thats a lot on any PC..hence why your game stutters a lot. Good video and narration/role play.

Jeff, you actually can change the color of the seats, its just a bit hard to find the "dot" that lets you change them.
you can change your seat colors...you have to be inside the cab to do it awhile looking at the passenger seat
Jeff I see that you use trackIR and I do too but I have problems with it, I cant ever find a good video on how to properly set it up and ones that have good settings for American Trucking Simulator. If you could please help out in any way that would be great! If not that's fine, but keep up the great work with the videos man!

Hey man, scs live steam showed that you can change the seats. It's in the Interior aaccessory selection in the shop to spec or upgrade truck
you should really do a video on the new mack titan Heavy Duty Customs released, saw a few people running that truck on some fb groups.

It makes perfect sense for Detroit Diesel to put their diesel engine and transmission into Western Stars, since they both belong to the same parent company, Daimler Trucks North America (the same thing also applies to Freightliner).
PS: Fredericksburg was the hometown of Admiral Chester Nimitz; Uvalde, notorious for a recent violent episode last year (it wasn't pretty).

@Jeff Favignano the seat options are in the in the cabin accessories menu in the repair shop.
Cips traffic is indeed an fps killer especially in and around cities, had like 25-35fps as soon as entering almost any city area (!), so had to switch to another traffic density mod because of that...and instantly back to 120fps, me happy! Advanced SCS Traffic by Bigyarus from Steam workshop.
Hey Jeff, quick question: Do you only use PNG or PNG with JBX 3? Btw you can also try the Grime's mod for vegetation, it really improves the game a lot. Great video!

You can change the color of the seats! Its a stock feature by scs. Look in the interior options next time!

There a mod on the steam workshop called "Real Traffic Density ATS" that changes the amount of traffic based on the time/where you are. That with jazzy cats ai pack, no issues with large studders even in big city's for me. Don't know if it will work but might want to give it a try

You mentioned you couldn’t change your seat. When I modified mines I was able to change mines, I believe there’s 4 options
You can change the seats in these trucks. You have to do it in the cab section. There will be a node on the bottom of the passenger seat
