I agree, I own DD2 on PC and Ronin on PS5 and I didn't even boot the PC this weekend. The frame rate is shaky and the graphics are nothing special but the core combat and flow is amazing. It reminds me that I just want a good and fun game with core mechanics everything else is superfluous.

Would you ever consider doing a video on every set bonus and where to get them from black market vendors? I don’t know if the work load is worth it for you or not but I would love that video for build planning.
Great Video. Nothing really new to me since they used a similar System in Nioh or Wolong. Just wished the Player Ststs had more impact with more Variety on them. But im really suprised in the Variety of the Stances so even im still in the First Region i have lot of fun testing out the Stances, increase my Bond with the Mates to get Stance Upgrades. Also every Stsnce has a differend Parry Timing which makes it really hard sometimes to get the hang out of it.
I wish upgrades weren't so damn expensive. there's gear with really good set bonuses and passives you can't get anywhere else but upgrading them to get to my character's current level would cost nearly all my materials.
Well its true the Chests scale with your level, i would still say the Statpoints you get from completing a Region is still more valuable than Gear you maybe didnt even need. Especially in the early Stages of the Game.
Not gonna lie, Swaping weapons and stances was hard mid fight after a bit so i just used the wooden katana solo with just tatsumi-ryu stance. But in midnight stopped with the wood sword. But tatsumi-ryu had range, rush, and my favorite dodge so i haven't needed to use new stances or weapons
This is better than GOT idc the outfits the different weapons the different stances for the same weapons and all weapons the animations. Just wish there were more finishers but over all dole combat and outfits you can put together. Character customization on point. If it had better graphics I think ppl wouldn’t be so harsh on this game and would give it the respect it truly deserves

Yeah but I wouldn't avoid chests just to save them for later on bc once you finish the game you're going to want to go NG+ OR farm midnight gear anyway
It is sort of strange that they brought over most of the systems bloat and complexity of Nioh, yet the combat itself seems jankier and less polished. They have lots of junk gear, the inventory management has more filters than ever before, yet comparing gear is still tedious. Doing upgrades is incredibly expensive, so getting current level gear from treasure chests and vendors and just doing without the exact build you want is easier and makes the gear breakdown and upgrade system another system that could have been left out. Part of the issue with the combat is that most of the time with melee combat, except for stealth kills, you are having to engage multiple enemies, all of which might attack, so you end up swapping your lock-on a lot. Then you have all the combat styles, which need to be unlocked and learning which to use is again less intuitive than the combat from past titles. I just switched to Dawn mode and turned on the other two helper options, it wasn't worth the effort to even play on "normal" and deal with all the nonsense. You'll still die on Dawn mode for a variety of reasons, but you can largely ignore the dumb game elements they kept from Nioh...
You have to have unlocked the different stances for the respective weapons, usually through bounties or raising your bond level with npcs (eg first rinen npc you meet will teach you other stance for Katatanas after you rest at the long house in the city- I gave him a bottle of alcohol as a gift to also raise bond level). After that you can equip it from menu screen firceach weapon/style. To switch stances in combat I think it was hold down R1(or L1?) then use the right analogy stick to select from weapon stances for that weapon.
And also a skill called violent gale I think it's called when your doing a combo with the style your using during the combo switch the switch and the character will do a spin attack Indicating that you switch styles and continue in your combo but u have to unlock it once I unlock it I Been doing lots of crazy shit that I Finish him with the ryu hayabusa izuna drop Technique

Does your initial build base build selection in character creation dictate equipment priority drop? I keep getting a bunch of katanas at my level but not getting many paired swords at my level.
I do not upgrade any weapon or clothes. I feel like it’s pointless since they sometimes upgrade on their own and or you get clothes stronger than what you are wearing. Upgrading clothes is really only if you want to literally only wear that one set of clothes the entire time so you keep upgrading that one set. Other than that upgrading clothes and weapons don’t make sense to me
