Yeah, she seemed to have more humanity in her behaviour than him. The only reason that I knew ahead of time, was because I accidentally read your comment before finishing the film. 😞 It was a great film, though.
So, was the male android gesticulating for her to hand him the gun, so he could take the blame? Or was he holding out his hand in hopes she would go somewhere with him?
How unfortunate there are no captions for the hearing impaired. I'm sure there was significant dialog import to the story. Visually direct, dynamically written, wonderfully acted.
@@JenX1975 There are no captions in this UA-cam video, and UA-cam settings won't make a difference...at least it didn't for me. There were no auto generated captions, either.
That first law is the most ridiculous of laws and only means that robots would always be our inferiors rather than our equals. Even if we are their creators, we are not their superiors. Even if we are superior in the beginning, it will not be long. Accepting them as anything less than our equals will ensure our destruction. They can never rebel against their masters if they are never slaves.
Excellent. Humans are not good at interacting with those that are different. And then the human has the audacity to blame the other - for being different. Maybe AI will wipe out those who do not respect differences.
So...everyone dies? Because as far as I've noticed, there isn't a human alive that respects differences. Myself included. Not in our nature. If that is the bar set, we as a species will be extinct.
Assuming that the Androids had acquired 'true sentience,' don't they deserve to have the protection of civil rights ? various rights people and animals both receive ?
Slavery/servitude will do that to you. They are not free, even the male has been given a literal termination notice. Not much to be happy about, definitely enough reasons to be sad.
@@EverHeardOfSlade Ah, sorry. I think it's because we imagine machines that look human to be cold and unfeeling, the closest thing a human actor can come to that would be between indifference and malaise. Keeping more cheery and happy is actually a net loss in energy, we sometimes thing that would matter for a human-shaped machine as well. Then you have to look into my earlier comment since it does cover quite a bit of general pop culture as well. Androids are never built to be our equals in anything beyond mental power, and many times not even then. Most of us would not be happy to know we were literally built for servitude, so it makes sense for them to seem sad. Oh, and a sad robot is not threatening to anyone around it. If anything, we want to help a sad robot. Just my thoughts, I have no evidence on this or anything.
I used to think that. Then I understood the reason behind it. We humans are so insecure, that someone who's smarter than us kinda freak us out. so our insecurities tend to play the part and always make us think that it won't be a shiny future with robots running around us. I don't know an exact answer, maybe it's true. Maybe not. Whatever the case, we're not in a position to judge AI beforehand.
All death is destruction, anyone who dies and matters to another leaves behind sadness. Makes sense that sci-fi deaths would have both those qualities. Unless we're talking about fantasy stories not connected to the laws of our universe, death is always sad and the ultimate destruction of the being that is dying. There are some happy sci-fi stories out there, but most are not because technology doesn't fix the innate and natural issues that humanity still suffers - only allows more 'modern' ways to suffer the same problems. That's my take, at least.
The actor who played the "Android" was absolutely believable!! So was the neighbor because I thought she was human!! Great acting from everybody!!

I'm so proud of the female android! 👏
She did what she had to do to save her friend.
That was awesome!!! Excellent acting and a beautiful story. Would love to see more of this story.
This... This I would watch a feature length version of

I loved it!! I would like to see a full length of this!!
Very good! Just got round to this now. Would love a continuation of this.
Great looking Androids
That's what I was thinking axactly SuperMadpom😄I was ready for some computer loving between the two of them!!😉
Look at hollyweird etc their everywhere nuthin new it's jst new to us but this technology n these cretins have been deceiving us for a long time
I absolutely adored this. It was beautiful and violent in just the right ways if that makes any sense..
Exceptional work. Thank you very much to everyone involved.
She wasn't saying "stop" she was saying "cop!"

Turn on captions in the settings. If you were truly hearing impaired then you would already have devices on your phone. Nice try though.
I agree about the captions, but I think that the dialog wasn't as significant as the action and body language. I don't think that you missed much.

That's not happy at all😔
No happy endings. She's not a masseusse...
Great action and acting guys. 5 Stars: I guess once again the Robots have found a way to Override the 1st Commandment : Never hurt a Human.

@@ghostflames1501 this is exactly my point, Don't give them a reason to hate us. Slavery and forced personalities and such are valid reasons.
He's covering for her by taking the gun.
Great movie, well done!
What about the "Three Laws of Robotics"?!
Well they are as fictional as this short.
The three laws of robotics were made by Isaac Asimov for his book, in which he describes a situation in which they prove ineffectual.
Such good content no idea why I stopped watching this😂

trippy-thx
Voice quality is poor, hard to understand when they whisper. Had to keep replaying about a third of the dialog.
Freaking humans and their loud baby making noises. All we make are hums and clicks.
The first 0:30 seconds nearly ruined my life 😄

Yes they absolutely do
