Keith Richards always did have the makings of a varsity athlete
The f Sopranos
Lol
Wtf does thaaat meen
@@matthewherman5980 the varsity athlete thing was an uncle Junior giving Tony a hard time about his athletic ability in High School, and the song was used in the end credits of a Sopranos episode that ended with a death if i remember
@@javierelizarraras1821 season2 ending credit
I consider myself a big Stones fan but I never would have paid attention to this song had it not been so prominently featured on The Sopranos. David Chase was no slouch when it came to picking music to compliment a mood. And this song in that episode really hit the spot.
Cheers, same here
Me too. And then I still didn’t pay much attention until the second time I watched it. Hate to admit a tv show is turning me onto a stones song I didn’t know. Cheers Mr. Chase!
@@timhyde7612 Stones are simply awesome
Totally agreed
This song is the only thing worth a sh!t on Voodoo Lounge.
"I got those fuckin' blues..." Richards sings my soul every time, thru and thru.
Me too.
Me too...theresaleslie
Me fucking too !
Great song from last episode of sopranos season 2
The best ending to the season,,
All of this ovah some dead hooower.
going to forever associate the Sopranos with this song!
That's why I love this song lol
That's how I ended up here. It's Amazon prime's fault. They cut to the next episode too quickly! They cut off just as the credits start to roll and just as the song's playing .. prompting me to go to YT ... to hear the rest of the song.
Watching Sopranos for the 5th time and this song only just grabbed me this time. The Sopranos is a gift that keeps on giving
Same.. so odd that we are discovering something new in a 25-year-old show
Stunning song. One of my absolute all-time favorites. Very emotional and really takes me somewhere special.
Its use in the Sopranos was also, to me, one of the best applications of music to a television/film scene ever. Absolutely memorizingly beautiful.
gives me goosebumps everytime
David Chase & The Sopranos ALWAYS had the right song, at the right time. I recall when Keith was quoted as saying, "I was not a fan of The Sopranos, that is, until they played my song in that episode. (Cackle, cackle, chuckle, Keef's signature laugh and honest humor)" Thru and Thru is such a gorgeous, emotional song. I also loved, in the next to last season, when Michael Imperioli is high under the influence driving his Mercedes with Tony Soprano in the snowy wintertime...and Van Morrison with Pink Floyd (Roger Waters) playing Comfortable Numb right before the wreck...and then Tony suffocates his younger cousin to death....because he is unreliable not sober...and having had Adriana whacked earlier for going to the FBI. Powerful, beautiful stuff, The Sopranos were! Landmark Television, best ever mini-series...along with Band of Brothers, Stephen Ambrose's historical masterpiece documentary of the 101st Army Airborne Rangers in WW II.
@@donriley3349 Not just Comfortably Numb, but listening to it off THE DEPARTED soundtrack! LOL. That was awesome.
@@Contractnik Martin Scorsese sure know how to make a soundtrack, doesn't he? Love his movies, GoodFellas, Casino, and the Departed... and every one features the Rolling Stones, especially Gimme Shelter! The Departed is such a great movie, with a superb cast of all starts!
I knew the song for the soprano series
'almost forgot that if it hadnt been for the sopranos' - keith richards
To anyone who is a guitar player you understand this. I love Keith so much as a guitar player!! I mean.......the things he finds in a song!!! This guy finds these wonderful things that nobody else could ever find!
As I guitar player, I too love Keith Richards! But man!....Do I ever loathe this song! Especially when I first heard it on The Sopranos.
VOODOO LOUNGE ROCKS!!
Jesus he NAILED this performances
Jesus was in the 6th Row
Yah its an incredible performance. I hope some people in the stands recognized it for a latter day classic. One of my fav stone songs.
He sure did !!! ❤️
Was just thinking that lol
Keith really put his whole heart and soul in this song, this is so pure, just passion... love him so much
❤
Keith has the sound of the blues way deep down in his soul 💙 ❤, Keith has a beautiful voice and he's just the epitome of cool🎉🎉
If Elvis was the king of rock n roll Keith is the supreme emperor. I heard Satisfaction when I was 6. I still remember exactly where I was standing at the time. 44 years later I've never heard anything better than The Stones.
I love James Gandolfini
this has very very little to do with james or the soparanos. the song was around long before that
Chris Millard,
Sperling with the fishes😂
@@edwardjtruskyjr1921 Big Pussy sleeps with the fishes TOO! ~~~ lol ~~~
Peaceand Quiet yet the vast majority of comments are attributed to the sopranos. I wonder why?
@@PeaceandQuiet12345 And?
One of the best songs ever. Keith put his soul in this performance.
It's nice to see Mick take a break, letting his buddy take the mic now and then. That was fun.
Tony lighting the cigar staring to thru and thru is everything
One of the best Rolling Stones songs of all time. It’s got it all; emotional, it rocks...just a beautiful song.
RIP Charlie Watts 🙏 You will live on in our memories
God bless Charlie Watts, the silent stone, he will be missed greatly. I don't think I truly appreciated his drumming until I listened to Keith's solo tour back in 88 and he played Rolling Stones songs. That's when I realized just how great Charlie Watts IS at drums. Subtle most of the time, but a railroad-car impact when he needed to be. Steve Jordan is a great drummer, and I hope he meshes well with the band, and I hope he doesn't become disappointed with fans saying he's not Charlie Watts. My advice is to be the best "YOU" that you can be.
It has definitely been hard listening to my favorite band, the Rolling Stones lately. As a guitarist, that's the instrument I usually focus on, and now I've been focusing on Mister Charles, and realizing the contrast of most drummers on my shuffle, and Charlie. Charlie, I will miss you greatly.
For the surviving members of the Rolling Stones, I offer my condolences. However, if Mick and most importantly Keith wish to continue to create music, and tour, I will be there. I couldn't imagine my life without your music. God Bless.
Miss Charlie so much
Keef Richards, Chief Keef both timeless legends
I can't help but get sad for Gandolfini. Heartbreaking.
Exactly!!!! 😢
Sending Keith Richard's all my love and admiration for getting it so right and beautiful.
"You know that this heart is constant ". Now what woman would not want to hear those 7 simple words of his love for her?
Keith, the heart and soul of the Stones. Amazing performance of a great song. Keep rockin Keith!
I'm listening on youtube, he is singing now I got them fucking blues, but it says I'm your lover through and through, it is pretty.
Now try to imagine Keith singing all along a show, for me it would be boring.
Great song, great performance, Long Live Keith Richards who is 80 years old as I write this. My greatest HERO in life . . .
Keef - the one and only!
Simply put, this is a bad-ass song. Rolling Stones, true legends.
thank God for Keith's talents and soul. he just kills it with every song. sending love to Keith. ❤❤
I woke up with this in my head and decided to write him about it. I hope he sees it
Same here don't remember this at all. I was watching the sopranos and there it was! I've gleaned a lot of great music via Mr Chase I am so grateful for his many talents.
the best man in this strange world
The best of..
Sopranos brought me here....thank you David Chase.
You know why it's called to have a crush when secretly in love with someone?
Because it's crushing your heart and soul, waiting for an answer, a call, a talk.
One of the few songs in the world, that get me emotional.
I love you guys. Carry on for ever!
Any minute any hour……soul my love
You know this heart is constant 🤍 I am a woman and I picked out that lyric first. He's a virgo just like me.
My Favorite Rolling Stones Song and It fits perfectly with "The Sopranos"✊🙏
Thanks Charlie
Yes the part of The Rolling Stones ,The Is best guitar player in this whole world oh yes Always Debbie💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯❣❣❣❣💯💯💯
Top 3 of my favorite Voodoo Lounge Songs and Top 3 of my favorite Keith Songs overall. So simple but so fantastic, no words. I love the evolution of his voice through the albums.
Sopranos and keith , damn I got goose bumps
Keith Richards singing this love song is special and it is very touching a moment that was a original one time song that he had sang and it will stay with me forever!!!
I got them fuckin' blues👍🏼
No lip synching here. Pure genius and talent from everyone on that stage.
God, so amazing to see Bobby and Charlie and to hear Keef sounding so great! My favorite song off Voodoo Lounge '94. It was played on a show, but it's MORE.
i really love this song! as always, Keith put his soul in his performance...he is so real, authentic, emotional... i love Keith, he is a rock legend 🤟🏻🎸🎶
This was one of the very best episodes of the sopranos , I have watched it over and over.
To have such obvious love and enthusiasm for what you have been doing for 55 years + is a something few of us will ever experience. It's great to see and hear.
The best song 🎵, best guitar player, I knew that I loved this song immediately after hearing it for the first time. And I remembered it and I share it whenever I get a chance. Thanks again for this song and this opportunity to tell you just how much this song is to me. You're are amazing Keith Richard's
Rest In Peace Charlie :8(
Amen
Waiting on a Call from you Dad, miss you every day, this song rips me up but i still love it
Keef gets my vote for coolest dude on the planet. Outstanding song. Thanks for the post.
Keef and Joe Walsh are all alone at the very top of cool. Nobody even compares.
See how cool he is when you ask him for a lesson or a to play a song. Hope you have deep pockets for that.
@@pmck3438 At least he takes responsibility for what he does. Unlike someone who creates a UA-cam channel to take cheap shots at others.
@@dharmabeachbum6330 I have a UA-cam account for videos. So your talking shite. You must love him.
@@pmck3438 You replied from an account with no subscribers. How am I talking shiite?
Kieth loves music and when he sings he bares his soul
Keith Richards has always been my y Stone,, I can't imagine anyone singing it any better !!
The 90s are the forgotten decade of the Stones
I so love this! The music speaks to my soul! Fantastic performance! Amazing! Rock on!💙💚💖
Was listening to this since day 1of the album
Heard this song for the first time when this aired on HBO (my friends and I gathered in the living room in our Stones shirts, with my mom and my Mimi, to watch. Fell in love. I always come back to this when I feel deepest (I was 18 then lol)
*Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Well done Keith Richards and The Rolling Stones! Oh, and R.I.P Charlie Watts. Any minute, baby, any hour, I'm waiting on a drum hit from you in my head! 😢😆💖*
Yeah you're right ✅️
This song is amazing. Keith, you are the man and the soul of the band. Peace out
i was in the crowd that night...my favorite part of the show
gmm3579 I was, too! Sitting right next to JFK and Tupac!
@@enna1913 hahaha, i smell bullshit too.

I so LOVE this song so very much! It is so BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the song! Great AMAZING music! Keith is the GREATEST GUITARIST IN THE WORLD! I love his music! His music speaks to my soul! I love his song writings, especially the way he plays the guitar! Keith ROCKS! He brings so much love to the world through his music! LEGENDARY!! ICONIC!! A beautiful person!! LOVE KEITH!!💚💙💖🎸🎶
gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes, you're a soulful genius, keith!
keith is the greatest rocker of all time
The sopranos brought me here
The Stones have always been there for me. They are constant.
He said it's one of the songs that came to him all at once! He quickly assembled the others, without Mick, & made it.
Charlie's drums already set up high on a balcony like for 'Got Me Rocking'.
A perfect song to me, Keith nails it.
Lynda Doberman Hall Keith does nail it, but isn't Charlie great with the punctuation?!?!
I love this song, one of the best of the Stones, it should be played more often.
The Glimmer Twins shine on like ever and forever!✌😎😊
Sounds just like the record, Keith is really one of a kind
Greatest Rock n Roll Band Ever!!!!!
They're one of my favorites #1Sopranos
Cualquier comentario se queda corto.....keith muchas gracias por tantos años de felicidad escuchandote
After all these years hes still got it
When Voodoo Lounge came out, this along with Love Is Strong and Out Of Tears were played over and over and over by myself.
Grabbed me the moment I heard it. Right in the heart ❤️
Yes imeadetly
I absolutely just love this fucking tune.
I Love His Love of His Instrument, when it's just the art of You, "Let's share what
I feel with YOU. " Thanx ,Keith, love your work.
This is absolutely fucking point. Couldn’t get it any better.
Fantastic song and sounds as good as the recorded version if not better, live. RIP to the great Bobby Keys.
Love Keith Richard's, one of my favorite musicians ❤
His most beautiful love song, besides You Got The Silver.
Hope he does it on the European tour this year.
Can I recommend Locked Away from Keith's Talk is Cheap album ?
i love this song
Keef you the best!
Keith...dont care what they say, I can understand EVERy word!!!
Thank you Keith for this one. Brilliant
I adored this song from the Voodoo Lounge album; hearing it on The Sopranos was so appropriate, and made me love the song , and The Sopranos even more. This heart is constant, babe❤️
There is a real thing of beauty about that,
So soulful!
It's awesome!!! Keith is brilliant! He could last forever!
I am not a huge Stones fan but this is a great song. Apparently it was on The Sopranos but I only remember Johnny Thunders as so long ago.
I'm from Detroit (blow the reveille)!
*WOW!*
This is *GREAT!*
Peace. Stay Healthy!

Dope song for my favorite episode (Fun House) of the sopranos 🔥💪🏿
Sopranos brought me here!
Haunting
No the song is soo perfect when they bust it out for the Soprano's...... I think it's this version.... Hairs stand up!!!
Sopranos was the album version (Voodoo Lounge) but this one is by far my favourite. Just Keef being Keef, can't get any cooler than this
Hahaha! 0:59 I've watched this consert a lot of times (great tour, saw it live in Stockholm) but never before picked up that Charlie Watts is picking his nose in the background ;)
Love this Rolling Stones song. Hope Keith plays it at the Santa Clara California concert in August 2019. Can’t wait for the show.
I just heard this on The Sopranos. Never would have guessed it was The Stones. Such a great track and perfect for the episode
i listened yesterday
first time
I was driving
now I love this song
and the stones more and more
I have all old Stones and never heard this song with Keith singing 🤘AWESOME
