illproducer the jerk motion on your upshift is because you’re up shifting too slow. If you want I recommend getting a quick shifter. Yamaha has it for the R6 for $200. Rev matching is more for when you shift down. Pretty easy and fun once you get the hang of it. Just pull in the clutch, give it a quick blip and press down on the shifter all at the same time.
Great buy! I bought my 2016 R6 with 0 miles...first bike by the way. Test drove the Honda cb300 and cb650 and that you better respect me feelings wasn’t there. But when I took home that R6 it was ohhhh man! Once you do the exhaust mods look up “vcyclenut“ flash/tune you won’t regret it bro.
going from a 300 to a 600 you got balls. keep practing and all wil be fine. you will learn to shift by the engine sound. with this bike make no sudden movements as it responds very quickly. if you have issues most tracks offer classes which will learn a lot about sport bikes. we all start somewhere. I now ride a 1000cc bike. daunting at first but now easy
hope you have eased maite wid the gear shiftn as it's betr to upshift n maintain your cruise in town in 3rd gear, to avoid overheating in the 1st n 2nd
My guy told me keep it below 8k rpm and it has a slipper clutch. Basically you can clutchless upshift. Also he told me not to leave it in any gear too long while I’m the break In period
The sudden jerk on the upshift means you're letting out the clutch too fast without rev matching. It's actually very dangerous at higher speeds, definitely something you should practice safely. Ride safe my friend.
@@MADLITS1K ??? You cannot just let out the clutch quickly without letting off the throttle or you'll get exactly what happened in the video. Rev matching wasnt the right term, after a long day sometimes you have a brain fart. The info still stands.
Just came across ur channel couple of minutes ago. Coincidentally I'm on a Ninja 300 and this is my first season of riding. Interesting what u said about d riding position of d R6. I've already started doing research on what my next bike will be and I quickly realised that although I love the look of sports bikes, i might not be able to go with a Supersports exactly because of the riding position. In my late forties, so comfort is a major consideration for me. I also discovered that the CBR650R might be a nice middle ground. Nice looks but not too aggressive a riding position. Anyways, how's it going two years down the line? U coping better with d ergonomics?
A naked bike would suit your needs as an upgrade from the ninja 300. However, I’m very used to the riding position of the R6 and I have done some extensive touring on it (stay tuned for new videos on that) The ergonomics really suck if you are in stop and go traffic. I personally love sport bikes for their performance and of course looks, but it all depends on what type of riding you are into. For most people a naked bike checks all the boxes for a great sporty street bike
Sweet bike.. just let go on the clutch smoother and you’re set it kinda seems like you’re “popping” (just letting it out to quick) it. You already look comfortable riding you should be Golden by this time since this videos from months ago
Sweet video man I recently got my 2011 R6 my first sportbike an after riding it for some time the wrist pain, stiff suspension, lack of a fuel guage an the heat that cooks your legs an balls is insane. But as you said. Sportbike life. Anyone looking for a street bike I'd say get the mt07, sv650 or z650. Mt09 is a good choice too.
A couple of things you got right..learning to ride first before the R6 and buying a Yamaha. For me I found once stopped click down to first then half click up for the green neutral. Loosen of the clutch cable until it suits your style of riding.
Do you have a garage where you park your bike? If not how do you store it in winter? I am thinking of getting one but I don't have a garage to store it for the winter. I am in the neighboring state of NJ.
Yes, I have a garage I rent out to store my bikes. I used to park on the street and that was a very bad idea as my Ninja has been hit and knocked over by cars parking. Getting a garage or dedicated parking space is worth the piece of mind
@@illproducer that's a fair point. My place has outdoor parking lot but considering this year's winter I don't want it standing out in the snow. I did find a rental storage facility close by. Maybe that would be the best option if I can't find a place with indoor parking.

Every time you fill the tank reset your mileage counter, the bike is good for around 120 - 130 miles depending on the way you ride. Also, you can move the bike back and forth and you will hear the swishing of the gas. If you don't hear it, its time to fill up. Another thing is there is a gas light that comes on when you are low, there is about 20 miles in the reserve tank when the light comes on. Hope this helps!
Never rode a bike, but I want a r6, bad decision? I mean i rode a quad and dirt bike but just not one like this..was looking at a 2020. Also are they comfortable for like a 6'3 dude?
I wouldn’t get a supersport as a first bike. Starting on a smaller bike or a 650cc parallel twin bike is better. You will learn to ride quicker and faster on a smaller bike
Getting a 600 as a first bike depends on a lot of factors if you’re a bigger guy with some weight on you you might want to start on a 600.. if you have manual transmission experience then you should be set. I would go ZX6R or GSXR
Diyanna Ortega do not let this scare you away. I’m Asian and I’m 5ft5 and I ride the 2018 R6. Yes you will be tip top but you don’t need both of your feet down anyway. I only have one foot down and switch accordingly. Yes, you can most certainly.
Your first ss is a new bike? It's just going to hurt (your pride) alot more when you drop it lol
You were super uncomfortable because of the shitty traffic lmaoo, go out of town

@@illproducer thats exactly my height! How do you feel comfortable on r6? I cant touch ground with both feet even on tip toes!
I can get both balls on feet on the ground with the R6, which is good enough for me. However, backing it up, especially on a hill is difficult. I’ll make a future video addressing my height on the bike
