Proctor protected the homeowner cop. The homeowner should have been investigated. That is the problem. He’s the fixer and there is enough evidence just by him not investigating the cop home owner. Remember the homeowner replaced concrete in the basement before he sold the house.

I have another issue with this case. Are we supposed to believe that John O'Keefe got out of the car, stood in the same position as she drove away, stayed stood there as she reversed toward him from 60 feet away, and then bent down just at the moment she was about to hit him????? I think Proctor was more interested in being a hero to his buddies in blue than he was in finding out the truth in this case. It wasn’t the foul language that ruined his credibility for me it was the fact that he didn’t do a thorough investigation and that he had already made up his mind what happened to John O’Keefe within the first 24 hours. He didn’t keep an open mind whether because he needed to pin this on Karen to cover for the Albert’s, McCabes or Higgins or because he’s just an arrogant, lazy, misogynistic pig. Either way he sucks at his job.

@@legalweapon3wishing someone would commit suicide, especially someone who had been briefly hospitalized for making suicidal statements 6 days prior, is not making “childish” comments. No Procter isnt on trial, Karen Read is with the evidence that Procter collected personally in the case of the car and taillight pieces and was in direct control of as the lead investigator. So you can keep trying to minimize it but to the vast majority of people, his behavior does factor into whether the investigation can be trusted. If his emotions were that high about the death of a fellow officer, he should have recused himself. He should have recused himself anyway because he knew some of the witnesses and was friends/coworkers with the homeowner’s brother.

From the very start they failed!! They failed to secure the crime scene - once they leave, that's it. A crime scene should be guarded at all times, with a list of who entered and exited and what time that happened, what evidence was found, all photos to be taken at the scene, exactly where the piece of evidence was found, with a tag - stating where when and by whom it was found, and then sealed. They did nothing. They went back for weeks afterwards search for bits of plastic off the tail light, and those pieces should not have been allowed into evidence, since it was released from being a crime scene.

@@legalweapon3he falsified the time the suspect’s vehicle was towed, stating that it was over an hour later than it was actually in his possession. The sallyport video is somehow magically missing a 40+ minute chunk from when that vehicle arrives. The officer that testified directly before him made a point of stating he observed the taillight being cracked and missing a small piece, not consistent with the version we’ve seen photos of later that looks like a claw hammer was taken to it. I do not believe it was an accidental typo situation and as an attorney you surely know that the jury will be instructed that if they find any witness lied about something, they may take that into consideration in weighing whether any of their testimony is truthful. Dehumanizing a suspect, making comments about her sexual attractiveness, her medical conditions and hoping she commits suicide is not just saying “bad words,” please give the rest of us sentient adults a freaking break. Okay let's talk Proctor!
The problem with trooper Proctor besides his disgusting, misogynist & narcissistic behavior. Is now there is reasonable doubt in the jurors minds, for he put on public display his hatred for Karen Reed. Which leaves it open that yes he could have planted evidence to close this case quickly. As he said "get that girl" "she's going down" that is a huge hurdle to overcome for the prosecution because now it's always in the back of the jurors mine no matter how much evidence they put on. You add on that the sketchy and sloppy work they did collecting evidence.
    1)Evidence collected in Solo cups?
    2)Use of a leaf blower?
3)No pictures of her tail light?
    4) Nothing measured from a point like the flagpole or the curbside or the fire hydrant?
    5) So many of the prosecution's witnesses have perjured themselves!
    6) Canton PD staying involved when they were supposed to be totally eliminated from this investigation.
    7)THE BUTT DIALS!
    8) The rehoming of a dog?
I know they didn't have probable cause to look into the house. Yet is all officers, you would think he'd say come in and check my house he never came in here! Let's play devil's advocate and say Jennifer McCabe was telling the truth on the stand. (Which I don't believe) She did not come across very well at all unlikable. As someone who's been a juror before that does matter! Along with the shadiness of some of the exhibits put in. (Whether intentional or not) It really feels like Lally was not really prepared for this trial. Both sides ask for this to have a continuance. Probably to wait out and see what happens with the FBI investigation. And what you remember and they're charging her with manslaughter. Meaning they believe this was intentional. And as we sit today we are 63 witnesses in on the prosecution and we have yet to hear from the medical examiner? WT* And they tried like hell to keep Proctor off the stand. This whole case stinks, and should never have gone to trial.
This whole trial the prosecution has been playing defense to the defense. And not just laying out their case. Lally, has overwhelmed the jurors with so many witnesses repeating the same things over and over but yet conflicting stories. You have troopers and officers saying the tail light was cracked and some saying it was busted.
I still believe after Proctor, it was game over!

These cops/ troopers FRAMED and innocent woman and rather than investigate anything, they made the facts for the suspect & no matter how ridiculous what they've tried to do is, she isn't guilty, the cops are. Period. I feel the worst for John O'Keefe after Karen Read. Her life is on the line, and John's lost his, but anyone with half a brain need only look at this sideways to know this was all made to fit the crime... not the other way around. Anyway, I may ck in another time but for now, I don't need to hear this thin blue line hurrah.

What did he do wrong besides using bad language? Well, for starters, he pres over a sloppy investigation. For one thing, he threw that evidence like garbage, keeping the jacket and shirt in the trunk of his car in a bag all jumbled together for weeks, before turning it in, he admit he has no idea about what the chain of custody was, etc. etc. etc. The way he talked about Karen Reid is a reflection of how he treated the investigation. this investigation was ridiculous from the get-go. No lead detective worth his salt will allow evidence to be put into open solo cups, and then put into a grocery bag, and then placed beside the “murder weapon, where a dirty towel was hanging. His attitude and the investigation are intrinsically linked. The jury will understand this.
I don’t pretend to know what really happened, maybe we will never know. But reasonable doubt all over this case. Nothing was done correctly.

Henry Fonda: “Following the closing arguments in a murder trial, the 12 members of the jury must deliberate, with a guilty verdict meaning death for the accused, an inner-city teen. As the dozen men try to reach a unanimous decision while sequestered in a room, one juror (Henry Fonda) casts considerable doubt on elements of the case. Personal issues soon rise to the surface, and conflict threatens to derail the delicate process that will decide one boy's fate. “. (Movie promotion).

Yesterday, Trooper Paul did not show us how the vehicle hit John O’Keefe. The bumper was at a height of 27-28 inches. That would be under the knees for a man who is 6’2” tall. O’Keefe should have had bruising under or around his knees. Possibly, his jeans would have been ripped, too.

Vinnie, please tell me WHY no one is mentioning the BRIGHT RED glow of Karen's taillight in the video where she hits John's car?? It's driving me insane because a taillight without a cover shines LIKE A HEADLIGHT!! From the (after) picture provided by police there is very little red!! Not to mention how easy that would be to reconstruct! Ugh...vent over 😊🤪

@jensoldat8085 exactly!! This video was the next morning, when she was leaving to go and find him dead... so it would have already been broken had she killed him with her car 💁‍♀️ thus no bright red light according to their own picture

Do I trust Trooper Proctor? No! Do I trust Karen Read? No! I don't condone Proctor's vulgar comments and as crass and stupid as he is, as a juror I would not base any guilt due to vulgar language. But I think he's shady and I think Karen Read is shrewd and deceptive.

About the waste of taxpayers money thing, while it probably is used as a line I wonder if it’s sometimes out of frustration. Because, from what I have seen, trying to get funds to pay for tests or experts if you’re the defence is kind of like trying to get blood from a stone.
