    I love the speed of development! Nomad has released a new version that can UV unwrap.
    After playing around with the new version here's my findings:
    The feature is still in experimental mode so the layout of the UVs is not that great. Nomad also has the same issues as Forger when it comes to import/ export options. So visual jaggies (for certain models) will be present since phong shading cannot be adjusted. The same applies for axis orientation.
    So aside from having one more app that can UV unwrap (yeah!!) the whole workflow in the video still holds true.
    Excited to see where the next 6-12 months will take us!

    Thanks a lot bro, this new way of texture is just like magic, I've quited 3D for years but now is time to pick the Ipad and clean the dust on it. thx again

    Many, many thanks for this video. I have spent so many hours, trying to go with USDZ from C4D. Great explanation.

    Surely procreate just needs to be able to generate auto-uv's I mean... it's so obvious it hurts. Personally I can get around all this by being a Houdini user, but it really shouldn't be that hard.

      Yeah I think that's one of the issues with a lot of iPad apps. Their workflows are not 100% there. They go up to a point and then if you're not knowledgeable enough to find a workaround you're stuck. I'm hoping this will improve in the coming years! Keeping my fingers crossed!

    Great tips! I couldn't get USDZ out of C4D, not knowing that the material has to be node based. Awesome video!

    on the pad comes different inspiration mostly, but using blender is a no second thought solutions. Good is that you can take the pad out of the box.

    How can you export the 2d textures for your models as a psd file when there are multiple layers to your texture? Can’t find help anywhere 😢

    Thank you so much! Its amazing. I managed to import my model into procreate with 4k resolution. Its still as blurry as the original 2k. Do u know why is that?

      Difficult to troubleshoot without checking the model. Maybe double check to see if the texture in Procreate is 4k in size. If all fails contact Procreate's support. They will be able to help you out!

    Thanks for this! I'm running into some issues however with S24. It appears to export the USDZ, but clearly the files is not including the textures even I've tried multiple sizes and JPG/PNG options... Also when opened in Pro-create painting on the the surface doesn't have the correct result, like the UV's are not matched..... To be clear my content already has images with properly assigned UV's (not a blank model like your example) - I'm installing R25 to see if improved, but wonder if you have any thoughts.... thx again for this!

    Hi! At first i would like to thank You for Your Great work! :) You learned me how to uv map, texture etc but at the end im doing something wrong and after importing my usdz file to procreate the resolution is 1024x1024. Do You have any idea how to help me?

    update the nomad. 14 hours before your video, it can already unwrap UVs

      While Nomad does unwrap UVs now which is great it still doesn’t change much on the workflow.
      Additionally the feature is still quite experimental so the unwrapping is not the cleanest. And it also has the same issues as Forger when it comes to the lack of import/export options, visual jaggies etc.

    I assume no option to export USDZ in Windows right?
    couldn't find it in r21

      You can export in USDZ with Windows but you need a newer Cinema 4D version. The format is relatively new. I think you need R25. Maybe 24 as well but I think it was introduced with 25

    Wow. Great Channel! Now I know the day I should get an Ipad is getting closer. I am happy with my Cintiq but the pen and screen touch is no way near as flawless as Ipads are. As always what makes Ipads stay away from the majority of consumers is the limited software they come with. Shame.

      I have the feeling that this will change soon! The fact that Apple allows developers to use more memory will allow for more complex apps. Not to mention the fact that the new iPads come with 16GB of memory. That was unheard of years ago (for an iPad)! I’m cautiously optimistic!

    Great, so Procreate releases a new update, in which you can’t do anything apart from drawing on their default objects 🤣 what of waste of energy. If you want to use full potential of that update, you need $500+ C4D subscription. 🤦🏻‍♂️ smh
