Upon first hearing Pakistan, I was worried about leather sourcing, so it was a relief to hear how the leather is responsibly tanned (as far as we can tell). I think it's important to make people aware of the havoc that irresponsible tanneries can wreak on public health/water suppliers in some countries, so thank you for bringing that up. Also, you're looking sharp in that thumbnail man!
Glad you qualified the review with "at least for now" because I'm digging these reviews. It's a great review, and the jacket looks great on you. I've been enjoying your Huckberry boot reviews. Looking forward to the next video.
Really enjoy your channel. Informative, comprehensive, and honest. One clarification, this is a G-1 style (Naval aviator) jacket not an A-2 (US Army Air Corps/Air Force aviator). The differences: the A-2 has pocket snaps, regular back, and shoulder epaulets. The G-1 has button pockets, an action back, and regular shoulders. G-1 also comes usually with a mouton collar that is sometimes removable
I agree, I have an a-2 mustang and my dad has an Avirex jacket from the late 80s (it would be the "The Classic "Raider" Jacket" that they have now) and they're great. if you're ever in NY you can check out their show room.
Hey Teik! Absolutely lovely review, and yes, definitely do more jacket reviews. I have a couple that I’d particularly like to hear your thoughts on if you ever review them: the Barbour Beaufort jacket, and on the topic of flight jackets, maybe one of Avi Leather’s jackets, like the G-1, M-224A, or A-2 jackets. From what I recall, you can make custom orders with Avi Leather as well, and really dial in your fit, as well as change the leather option to something like horsehide for very little extra. I’ve seen a couple of reviews of their jackets on UA-cam, but they’re hardly as informative as yours.

Unfortunately “as far as we can tell” means we’re hoping they’re honest about it!

A great source for genuine A2 jackets in the U.S.: Cockpit USA.
Yeah, I saw them, but exporting to Australia was $$$ 😭
