the gearbox turned out looking great! With the belt drive it is almost completely silent running around! Glad you got it running again. A few more little things to go but certainly a cool one for your collection!

I have the other version of this, The Tomcat. Not everyone's cup of tea but I have wanted to add a 2WD Hirobo to my collection for years. I've slightly modded mine with better shocks and tyres and it's still a pain to race - LOL
Yeah Jason there’s just something about this car - I think I kinda felt sorry for it when I saw it for the first time it was in such awful shape - I can’t see putting too much more time or money in it but (the gearbox cost me more than I paid for the car 🤣) that front shock has to be addressed even for the shelf 👍

Very cool. Takes a lot to get some of these old ones running. Sometimes they are lack luster but they come from the 80’s. Not much as fast back then.

Wade it looks like you might have to switch your throttle on your transmitter to reverse, that might be the reason the car is so slow.
