Thanks for listening to this one. For me, this is the definitive live version of “Break the Wall.” On a previous release, “Daughters of the Dawn,” Miyako has trouble with the bends during the chorus and it doesn’t sound too good. I suspect that’s why she introduced to Les Paul for a couple of songs for this show, but that’s strictly my theory. Also, speaking of Miyako, I know a lot of LB fans love the guitars in this band because M&M typically play fast, but this is my favorite of Miyako’s solos. It’s definitely the most memorable one for me.
Miyako brought back the Dean for the Knockin on Heaven's Gate version of this song. Her bends sounded OK but it looked like she was fighting it a bit. Her Les Paul sounds much better for this song than the Dean ever could.

Thank you for doing several Lovebites songs. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out, if you haven’t already, is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They love to go hard and heavy. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. Their tiny bassist even growls at key moments. They’re scheduled to release their new album on June 28, and it’s a banger. To get an idea what they sound like (and get a great reaction out of it) check out “Ignite”: ua-cam.com/video/LQIDqudG_DQ/v-deo.html This is one of their older songs, from their original lineup. They have gone through some changes but have always kept that hard, heavy, technical sound. There is also a new video coming-don't miss the chance to jump on it!
This song is mesmerizing.
A great headbanger and Miyako's solo is already legendary. 🤘🐺🤘💥
One of the best thrash songs ever written - easily as good as anything from Slayer, Anthrax or Testament.
Great reaction.
One of my fav thrash songs.
LOVEBITES - Break The Wall lyrics:
(DIE) No sign of my time
Cause I wish to live another life
(BY) Who will save my poor soul?
Crying alone in a dim hole
(MY) Can't believe it's real
Cause in the end, everything is gone
(SIDE) How should I live from now?
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
Make it out alive
I have to break through the wall
(DIE)
No sign of my crime
Got my scars during wartime
(BY)
Who's the one that did it
Deadly venom eating me inside
(MY)
Spent my life in vain
I can't forget everything I've done
(SIDE)
I swear to my hatred
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
Make it out alive
I have to break through the wall
SOLO: midori / miyako
(DIE)
No sign of my time
Cause I wish to live another life
(BY)
Who will save my poor soul?
Crying alone in a dim hole
(MY)
Can't believe it's real
Cause in the end, everything is gone
(SIDE)
How should I live from now?
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
