Why is me showing people how to cheat video games the most popular video on this channel... I'm ruined. For those that couldn't read what I typed into the search bar: %localappdata% For those saying that nothing is happening, you may also need to edit your temp save file as well as your normal save. Ignore save02.
The fact people are genuinely turning to save file manipulation to beat potential bosses says a lot about the difficulty curve, like, i'm not asking for the game to be easy, but the genocide route's SECOND boss shouldn't be that difficult, this level of displeasure wouldn't be present if it was perhaps the third, fourth, or fifth, heck, i'd probably pull the "skill issue card," but this is quite literally the SECOND boss of the game, it has no reason to be this exasperating. You're supposed to ease the player into the more difficult puzzles, bosses, etc, if you start the game with an easy boss, then immediately throw us into a tough one, you are going to eventually have your players turn to this, because hey, Undertale Yellow is a great fangame, but there needs to be some fine tuning in terms of the difficulty. I quite literally couldn't enjoy the story the game was trying to tell while being stuck at the 2nd boss, the drastic change in skill level wasn't something I could adjust to on a whim. I just can't enjoy the game when the SECOND boss of a certain route has movesets which resembles a final boss.
Lowkey had this exact taught with the neutral route final boss. Half of the time when I destroy his petals they don't save and I have to do the last two over and over, and 90% of the time I end up dying because of how many attacks are on screen. Make it difficult, not outright attack spam.
well there's easy mode, and for some fights have auto options to make it less difficult to manage, there's no fault in using easy mode celeste is pretty difficult too but using cheats doesn't actually restrict you from getting the achievements, hell i had to use them to get the moon berry because it was genuinely too difficult for me even if i beat the final chapter and all the C-sides no fault in using easy mode, but i believe the difficulty is designed for the fans who yearn for a hard fight because majority of the players probably already played undertale before and has likely beaten bosses like sans, and even if they haven't why would you willingly choose the most difficult route -- genocide, on the first palythrough?
I swear I'm gonna be stuck at the genocide fight for the bird girl forever due to this difficulty level. (Update: I managed to beat all of the genocide bosses, but I'm trapped in the final fight, which is Zenith Martlet. I gotta say the 3 fights before are simple but a bit annoying, especially with Ceroba and Axis, since the beams that deplete Hp are a pain in the butt, and the other fight is just lasting for a number of turns before you Clover Blast Big Shot that robot.)
Same here. The developers probably thought that majority of UT fandom good at Touhou or something. In my opinion, hard bosses always makes the UT fangames less interesting. I hope they will nerf her with an update.
@@nomercymegalo4838 They updated the game and added the ''Endure'' ACT for Phase 2. It only heals 20-30 which is NOT enough and her attacks are so random and overpowered.
@@Storm59-59 its more so a memory game. Also a tip that helped me: Attempt to beat her until you feel like doing the genocide route irl, take a long break (more than an hour) come back, and with the experience you had and a clear mind you should be able to beat her easy. Works for basically every game I've played.
i will be honest, i beat the bird in 2 tries and ceroba in 4 but suffered at the final boss, and yea i will be honest, ONLY the final boss of genocide they did the dificulty be something nasty
Something i recomend, is, if you want to still play fair but modify something, add 1 of the followers, ceroba or mantlet, even tho they can chance cutscene....it makes them EVEN FUNNIER trust me, i did that using ceroba and i couldnt stop laughting at some parts
@@MagicalDoggo it crashes because you put the exact name of them instead of: obj_ceroba_follower that is ceroba whose summons a shield to help you in battle obj_martlet_follower is martler whose does NOTHING, only make enemys unable to spawn
the bosses are not hard if you keep playing, but theres a lack of healing items in genoside route so i needed add items or i needed do no-hit, thats one issue game has and this helped me fill inventory with usefull items (dont want heal 10 hp at max lv)
@@hamzahrahmanyar2840 go to your save file and search for the current items you have in your inventory, then you just need overwrite any item you want to be placed in your inventory
The only main issue is the lack of healing items, and of course, the sudden spike in difficulty; by that I mean the bosses especially in genocide are literally Touhou bosses(Minus Dalv because he's the only good boss fight here) due to the bullet hell they produce or at least that's what I see in the third boss fight cus omg I cannot get past Ceroba.
@@nomercymegalo4838 they are just above average dificulty, if it was touhou it would be 3x the current stuff, the issue is that every atack is new and its exact same thing as playing undertale first time, people just are frustrated that its not easy like undertale that they played multiple times but its not that hard as it seems
The last phase of Zenith took me so long because I had 0 healing items, and I did it without the new patch where they added the heal act. I hated and loved that boss at the same time
This really helped me a lot. But somehow when I saved passed Alexsis or that weird robot thing, it reseted me back to the dunes for some reason. And when I was doing that Hydrogen puzzle it took me an hour at least and eventually I ended up with a neutral route? Though I didn't spare anyone. I spent 5 hours straight playing that game to do Genocide because I finished Mercy.

Pacifist Axis is super RNG based and its such bull, blue laser right on top of you? projectile on the other side of the box from you, unavoidable damage and or death, great music though, I'd actually probably like this boss if he wasn't so stupidly RNG dependent. (When I do genocide I will absolutely decimate this thing)
Yea fuck the dance guy, ima just give 99 def and 100Hp. Like i swear to god Toby was a genius on his Game, it dint had such dificulty spikes from the smoke like in undertale yellow.

Everything seems medium or a small hard ammount of dificulty, but genocide is dumb, ive gotten through every boss fairly but now i wont, because of the phase 2 on the final boss that doesent give you back items
I accidentally aborted Geno in Steamworks and saved, so now I'm desperately trying to find out how to undo it (Maybe someone could send a save file over before the Axis fight?)
I had this same issue, I managed to fix it though by tweaking some stuff in the game files. Try this, in the kills section for 4 put it as 0, in the Geno completed section put 4 as 1, and then in the route section put it as 3, this worked for me, I don't know if it'll work for you.

Nah it's not bad at all. It's a single player game, so cheat as much as you'd like. I wish they offered more accessibility settings for people that just wanna see the story. I know TS!Underswap offers a great one
The room near the fight is “rm_hotland_complex_1” Make sure to put all kills at 0, GenoComplete at 1, and route to 3(kills, genocomplete, and route are on the top of the document, while roomID is on the bottom) hope this helps

I don't know much about the Steam Deck's internals, but maybe you can dock it and access Windows underneath? (I think it's running a modified Windows 10 or 11)

I walked into the computer room before Axis before finishing killing all the robots in Undertale Yellow Genocide route and now there are no more encounters anywhere Is there something in the save files I can edit to undo my mistake? I'd rather not have to start the game over if I don't have to. T-T
so, there should be something near the top called "geno complete" just change that to 1 and under it should have your amount of kills for each area, just change those to 20.

How to do it though? follower = "noone" when i put ceroba or martlet on follower the game crashes on battle

It's because flowey gaslighted you into thinking the robots didn't matter for the genocide route. They did in fact matter.

For some reason my attacks are still only 5 damage, but I gave myself the wild revolver and a bunch of attack, why is this?

I was trying stuff out and accidentally saved during skipping a flowey cutscene. This does not help me, but atleast I can complain.

Right click on a ".sav" file, select "Open As", then find Notepad.exe

Unless you remember what your HP and Max HP was before or you made a backup copy of your save before, you can't. Leveling up restores your max hp tho
