Gotta love how everyone starts playing and talking about UTY, even those who never recorded any fangame, just as UTY was made by original author :)
This fangame is truly a masterpiece and deserves a place of a true prequel to UT
AND the fact that it connects to real UT if you choose "Wait" in the end of pacifist? WOW!

I was so happy that I was actually able to help him out. It was so much fun figuring out how to help.
This puzzle was such a pain in the ass, especially the step where you need to figure out that you have to trade to get your coffee back. Not to mention, it defies logical thinking. Why couldn't the coffee just cool down on its own after you take a certain number of steps in Snowdin, as an alternate solution? Or, why couldn't you take the Hot Coffee, and instead of pouring it directly onto his tongue, just press the side of the cup against his tongue and the pole and let the heat radiating off the cup thaw him free?
I guess it's not Cat Hair Mustache levels of insane (few puzzles are), but it's still super unintuitive, and all for an armor that basically goes obsolete past El Bailador.
Still love this game though.
It reminds me of good old point-and-click adventure games of my childhood, that's why I loved this puzzle.
Those games were never about logical thinking - You just had to talk to every NPC in the area, carefully paying attention to their words, giving them what they ask or trading for seemingly useless items that you recall the other NPC mentioning.

Personally, I tried giving them hot cocoa first thing, then they said "A hot cup of coffee will warm be right up!"
... then I eventually get to the Honeydew resort and get coffee, I remember about the guy and go back to see him "Are you crazy, that will scorch my tongue!" (Something along those lines)
... I better not see them again or I will abandon my pacifist route.
I thougth the maches could be used on the camp fire of the torch to start a fire lol
I find it funny, because you just need to interact with most npcs before going to outpost, and you kinda understand what you need to do. I used scarf for most of playthrough except final boss

I said it once, and I'm gonna say it again; On my first blind playthrough on this game, I actually found out how to do this on my own, and I actually can't believe people could miss it!
I did so too and I loved it! It reminded me of playing Link's Awakening, with the long trading-quest
my main problem with this sidequest was that I got fixated on Mo's hot pop, and trying to figure out a way to melt it. That, combined with the fact I had no clue you could shop at the honeydew resort because I tried once and it didn't work for some reason, led me to leave Snowdin thinking "surely, since I can't buy coffee, I'll have to come back later when I find a way to melt this thing or just find some coffee" only to end up locked out-

@@Piostephanie I was talking to everyone! that I found, anyways. I even hit enter while facing that rabbit npc only for it to not work for some reason, so I had just assumed you couldn't shop there for whatever reason-

Fun fact, it's still possible to get the scarf genocide, for some reason if you spare dalv to abort genocide, you can do the quest, but if you kill enough monsters, you can get back on genocide route for some reason, and it makes the martlet battle way easier (first encounter, obviously)

In the pacifist route, if you don't save him, in the credits it will show him still being stuck to the pole, with machines trying to get him out. It's a funny touch.
Honestly you made a very helpful guide with your editing skills from your past videos. Admittedly enough even I do not know how to do this quest lol, so I hope this video might bring more attention to people who are trying to get their tongues unstuck on this problem.

Fun fact: If they go left you can interact with them while they're leaving, it will give you the same dialogue and options as if they were still stuck to the pole. I'm not sure if this will happen if they walk up, but I only ever saw them go left so I'm not sure.
I was playing the game and wondering how to do this quest, searched it up and found nothing so I gave up.

It’s not that hard. Just talk to the NPC’s and they will give you hints. Now for the mittens I accidentally just talked to the npc near the shop and gave them the coffee (made me waste money).

I'm honestly glad people are playing Undertale Yellow, I remember seeing a video of the demo and i decided to tried and it was awesome, so I waited till release after 6 years, almost forgotting the game, it came out and oh boy, it delivered like very similiar to if Toby released Deltarune Chapter 2 but way more better.
Also if your going to do Possibility/Myth videos on this game, can you try what would happend if you manage to kill one of the bosses in the Feisty Four fight
what happens if you kill the feisty four (ed,moray,ace,mooch)
Probaly nothing is progammend as it normally impossible

if you kill one of them, the fight will be over and it will take as you survived the battle

0:05 you can still do this on the genocide run by sparing Dalv and then continuing your murder spree after the side quest
it took me forever to figure out how to do this on my own because I have the memory of a goldfish and forgot about the lost couple entirely

What if you kill the first froggit? (in the full game it can't be killed like in the demo)
what if you lower Martlet's hp to zero during her fight in Snowdin in the Genocide Route?
Could you make a video showing what flowey says when you keep repeating the neutral routes? He has different dialogue at the end of every neutral route if you keep doing them, I've beaten it 4 times and I don't know how much new dialogue there is after, and literally nobody else has a video on it.
Edit: there is 4 in total.
Edit 2: nvm there are 5 (fun level needs to be over 70)

You can still get the scarf in the geno route under 1 condition. You must spare dalv, and it will give you the necessary npcs and won't break your genocide route because it fits the idea of being a cruel jerk

Can you find out what happenes if you initiate a battle with a bloxer that is already arranged correctly?
Fun fact! You can get the scarf in genocide, all you have to do is spare Dalv in the ruins, do the sidequest, then shoot monsters until nobody came.
I did all of it up until the matches and i couldnt remember any npcs that needed them so i just left the guy and thought i needed them later.I used them after to open up the dunes elevator in the mines so i thought that was just done and used
I tought I needed to get a warm coffe ice pop from Mo the sailsman guy and then throw in in the fire or something, but when that didn't work I was all out of ideas lol
I was able to get him unfrozen on my first run, thankfully. It was actually pretty fun, and made me wish the Dunes and Steamworks did something similar.

What if you make martlet sparable in the geno route and spare her(all different forms; if not, just the final form)
I tried so hard to figure out how to free him, I got to giving the coffee to the NPC but I didn't get further than that 😭😭 i was so annoyed that the golden coffee didn't free him... And apparently that was for another Easter egg I didnt find either... There's always so much I miss in these games, like in deltarune I literally managed to get spamtons shop open but I didn't think to go back to that place 😭😭

It's possible with a modified file, but you only get 3 xp
Their HPs are way too high to do any significant damage, but assume you hack the game, either the game crashes or a Dalv death sprite shows up
