For all the simple minded Israel lovers . Read this cute little article in the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz and educate yourself. Oh my God I love this sooo much.
Ha'aretz ,
ARCHAEOLOGISTS UNDERMINE FOUNDATIONS OF PEOPLE OF ISRAEL !!
After seventy years of intensive digging, most Israeli archaeologists have come to startling conclusions: the Israelites were not slaves in Egypt, they did not wander through the desert and they did not conquer the land (Israel). There was also no mighty empire of David and Solomon. And the Jews discovered their one god only late, and not at Mount Sinai. Well-known 'facts' in the world of archaeologists, but politics and society in Israel prefer not to know about them.
Ze'ev Herzog Ha'aretz Daily Newspaper Ltd.
Most scholars of biblical studies agree that the historical events concerning the origins of the Jewish people differ fundamentally from what the biblical story tells. This archaeological revolution has not yet filtered into the public consciousness, but it cannot be ignored. Palestine archaeology developed as a science only at a relatively late stage, in the 19th and 20th centuries. The civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome were the first target of researchers, usually employed by the major museums in London, Paris and Berlin, who were looking for impressive finds from the past. That first phase in fact ignored the small size of Palestine and its geographical diversity. The circumstances there were not inviting for the development of an extensive kingdom. Spectacular works such as the Egyptian tombs or the palaces of Mesopotamia were certainly not to be found here. The impetus to do archaeological research in Palestine was religious: the connection between the land and the holy scriptures. The first excavators in Jericho and Shechem were biblical researchers, searching for the remains of biblical cities. Archaeology revived with the arrival of William Foxwell Albright, who had specialized in the archaeology, history and linguistics of the Near East. Albright, an American, began his excavations in Palestine in the 1920s. His starting point was that archaeology in particular could refute criticism of the historical truth of the Bible. Critical biblical researchers in Germany in the second half of the previous century questioned the biblical stories and said that biblical historiography had only been formulated and even largely invented at the time of the Babylonian exile. The history of the people of Israel as a continuum - from the days of Abraham and Isaac, through the descent to Egypt, slavery, the Exodus, to the conquest of the land and the twelve tribes - was only a later reconstruction with a theological purpose. Albright believed in the Bible as a historical document, edited more than once, but nevertheless reflecting ancient reality. He was convinced that once the ancient remains of Palestine were uncovered, they would provide indisputable evidence of the historical accuracy of the history of the Jewish people and their land. Biblical archaeology led to extensive excavations of such biblical sites as Megiddo, Lachish, Gezer, Shechem, Jericho, Jerusalem, Ai, Givon, Beth She'an, Taanach and others. The method was simple and direct: each find would contribute to a harmonious picture of the past - the period of the patriarchs, the cities of Canaan destroyed by the Israelites, the borders of the twelve tribes, the gates and stables of Solomon, his mines at Timnah. There are still archaeologists hard at work who believe they have found Mount Sinai or Joshua's altar. Cracks slowly began to appear in the picture. Paradoxically, many discoveries began to undermine the historical truth of the biblical stories instead of confirming them. The theory could no longer explain the contradictions. The explanations became complicated and inelegant. The image of the puzzle became vaguer. Below are some examples. The patriarchs: the researchers did not agree on the correct period of the patriarchs. When did Abraham, Isaac and Jacob live? When did Abraham buy the cave in Hebron
To meet 72 virgins he is really in trouble😂
And 40000 Young pretty boys
@@lovejesus2644oh you mean the priests meeting little boys?

Aren't you ashamed and embarrassed your book contains such vile debauchery?
You still have effrontery to talk about priest, which is not relevant.

Congrats from Lebanon
Imagine believing in a god that promises you 72 V’s for your life. I mean…why not 73? Is 75 too much to ask? I’d shop around for a better god. I want beauty, nature, all you can eat buffet, ability to fly…I ain’t keeling myself for 72 inexperienced Vs!

I understand the emotion and feelings of great relief, but celebrating the death of someone hateful for more than a few seconds, as is a natural reaction, does not sit well with me. Relief, yes; grateful that this man can no longer shatter lives, yes; but celebration, no. And in these circumstances, I lean on God’s words, “Vengeance is mine,” or the multiple similar translations in the same spirit.
that is understandable
@@lk80630 Thanks for that. The lost innocents are such an immense tragedy, it would be tough not to celebrate, I know
You are so mentally fragile and weak. The news if true is worth celebrating. Hip Hip Hooray!
@@flysolo100 yes, smile is enough, then just go to the next. And good for you for leaning on God. However I believe this particular verse is not about the war. It's in a very personal circumstance. That's my persuasion.
