A lovely kind down to earth woman and very much missed. I knew Alan well and her son Jason - too much tragedy. Thank you for this lovely tribute to her xx 💋

great choice Jaymes, i love Diana!!❤ i had heard of her and had only seen her two episodes of 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' tv show from the sixties. but during lockdown i did a deep dive into her english fifties films, very interesting. the british cinema was quite different than hollywood, with the actors there trading off from the lead roles to supporting roles from film to film. i watched about eight Dors films and was surprised to see she was not always in the leading role. she had great depth as an actress tho. my favorites were 'Yield to the Night' (b&w), 'A Kid for Two Farthings', 'Value for Money' (both in color), and 'Tread Softly Stranger' where she was sexy as hell and gave a fantastic performance!💘💝💖💓

Wonderful you present Diana Dors, and yes I really love her hairstyle. I think it was the best of all. Diana played a number of roles including serious drama, my favorite movie is "I Married A Woman" probably because her hairstyle was so wonderful and she dressed glamorously. I think what bombed her Hollywood career was her the falling into a swimming pool at a Hollywood party. And if Hedda Hopper writes a bad opinion about you, you are done regardless the talent. Quite fascinating to see how you assembled the wig. There is a online store I found a few years ago that does custom wigs, I inquired if they can make a Diana Dors wig. It appears you do it better. I saw how you prepped it and various stages. Gets me thinking of how to take generic wig and manipulating it to a specific style. Wearing a wig with a Diana Dors style should feel wonderful like wearing a beautiful dress. Now that is something I want to do, the hairstyle and the mermaid gown Diana wore when she visited the Queen in 1956. There is a British bio pic about Diana, an actress for the younger Diana, another for the older Diana. There was a part in the film during 1960s someone says to Diana, "older people forgot about you, the younger people laugh at you" which illustrates the attitude changes from 50s to 60s. Earlier in film where Diana is at home talking ahout a need for a stage name, "Diana Dors, something like Greta Garbo."
